Had some excellent cask ales here. It's a nice little pub in the middle of tiny Ampthill and had a cozy little feel. The ales again were good, and the food was pretty good as well. I had a lamb curry over rice and my dad had the chili rice. Both were very good; I've found British lamb to be slightly less gamey than, say, France, so the curry gave it a nice little kick that I very much enjoyed (slightly spicy too). The bartender was very friendly, and helped us to choose the right ale and even gave us a taste of each one before were decided what we wanted to drink.
They had a deflated bouncy castle in the back as well as a little wooden structure with "FERRET RACES" written on it, so not quite sure what else they do here, but I wish I could find out! read more
