I had a lamb curry over rice and my dad had the chili rice. Both were very good; I've found British lamb to be slightly less gamey than, say, France, so the curry gave it a nice little kick that I very much enjoyed (slightly spicy too). The bartender was very friendly, and helped us to choose the right ale and even gave us a taste of each one before were decided what we wanted to drink. They had a deflated bouncy castle in the back as well as a little wooden structure with "FERRET RACES" written on it, so not quite sure what else they do here, but I wish I could find out!

Everyone at the table ordered a starter for themselves, which I'm not used to coming from the USA. I always forget that their portions are smaller. If everyone at the table each ordered both a starter and a main at home, it would be an insane amount of food (LOL). I tried the hummus and pita, as well as the baby chorizo with the creamy dipping sauce which were both pretty good. My main was the best part of the night. I got the chilli, which had beans, quinoa, avocado, and other healthy ingredients. It was much appreciated, as it can be hard to find food that's not heavy in English pubs (a girl can only eat so many pies and fish & chips). It filled me up and I loved every bite, as well as the fact that it came with pita. I tried my husband's margarita pizza and the crust was good too. Cheers to a fun spot with good food! Gays seem to keep to themselves and don't mind the drunk crowd that barges in after 1am. The place is popular since most other pubs close earlier.
