Electric Starship Arcade is much more than a nostalgic trip back to the arcades of the past. It is…read morea genuinely fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for the entire family. From the moment we walked in, my family was greeted like friendly neighbors. The proprietor took the time to welcome us, explain the arcade, and make sure everyone was having a great time. My son has always been fascinated by animatronics, and as it turns out, the arcade has a working animatronic display. The owner personally showed him how it operated, which made our first visit especially memorable and gave my son an experience he will continue talking about for a long time. The arcade also brought back memories I had completely forgotten. I immediately recognized the holographic 3D game that fascinated me as a child, although back then I rarely had enough quarters to actually play it. I also rediscovered unique games such as S.T.U.N. Runner, Silent Scope, and several others that I had not seen in years. There was even a 3D zombie shooter that genuinely scared my 10-year-old daughter, but in the best and most entertaining way possible. What makes Electric Starship especially valuable is that it offers children a completely different type of gaming experience. These games are off-grid, immediate, imaginative, and wonderfully free from the constant connection of social media and modern online gaming. Children learn timing, patience, coordination, and how to wait for actions and reactions within the game rather than receiving an endless stream of instant rewards. The limitations of retro games are actually part of what makes them so creative. The graphics may be simpler and the environments more contained, but those boundaries actually encourage imagination. I have observed that Kids become absorbed in the characters, sounds, challenges, and worlds created by the machines rather than being distracted by notifications, online rankings, memes,  or social media feeds. Most importantly, retro gaming creates a more human and shared experience. Parents can stand beside their children, explain the games they once played, laugh together, compete, cooperate, and create new memories around something that was once part of their own childhood. With so many multiplayer games available, children can play side by side with their parents, siblings, and friends instead of interacting only through headsets and screens from separate rooms. Electric Starship Arcade is not simply about nostalgia. It introduces today's children to a new kind of gaming that is social, physical, imaginative, and shared in person. It reminds us that some of the best gaming experiences happen when families and friends are standing next to one another, laughing, learning, competing, and waiting together to see what happens next. Highly recommended for families, longtime arcade fans, and anyone looking for a fun experience that feels both refreshingly different and wonderfully familiar. We will absolutely be returning.

What surprised me most is that the food is actually great; not something you always expect from a vintage arcade, but they've definitely nailed it. I even chose to celebrate Mother's Day here last year, and we've been back several times since. It's fairly priced, clean, and always a fun, nostalgic experience. I also love that they rotate themed sections every so often, keeping things fresh and giving you a reason to come back. Check out my photos and videos, and one of these days, I will finally master Tron! Note to say, I've heard there is live music there on the stage at night on the weekends, but we haven't been during this time. We prefer to go during the day.

That visit we had an off putting initial exchange with the guy doing check in; who told my kid to throw away their plastic water bottle. I offered to put it in my bag cause they needed it for some medications theg were taking at the time but the only options was leave it at the bar, toss it, or take it to the car and get a free water from the food station. I get not wanting spills but both the cider cups and water cups offer no lids and my kids water had a lid and could go in a bag. I think we caught this guy on a bad day because we have not had that issue again. Though we learned our lesson and if we had a water we stuck it in my bag. At another locations they explained they are actually fine with water bottles ... They ask just don't be obvious about it...just don't want people bringing in things like starbucks drinks or sonic drinks that take away from their drink sales or could be sneaking in something that could cost them their serving license. Which I 100% get! Food wise; the pizza here is pretty solid! Of the cidercades I go to I think this is the one I would most likely get food at. (Arlington being number two but that's because they have to many other good places walking distance!!) Every other time we've come to this one; which
