Is it a cute theatre in a small town? Yes. Does it give you that retro vibe from days past where…read morepopcorn and a premier was a fit Friday night? Check. It's cozy with its three screen, tight hallway nostalgia surrounding a classic atmosphere. Growing up in this town, it was either this or the drive in. But unless ownership has changed, the movie selection was extremely biased. Don't expect to catch a good R-rated movie when it's run by young earth creationists. We could hardly expect the Harry Potter movies but thank "god" we were lucky. That's a personal opinion from me on why it's not a great spot. But if you want a family friendly movie with the kids and some popcorn, you're in the right spot. Cheers.

I like that there are three screens these days, I remember when there was only one. The lobby is one of my favorite places on earth, when I'm in there I can always remember what it felt like to be a kid, standing in the concession line, the feeling of excitement and anticipation of seeing a new movie on a Friday or Saturday night. Which they've always seem to have the big releases right away. You can tell the people that run the theater really care about it. It's only improved over the years and I'm sure it will continue to do so. If there is any drawback, it's the same problem every other theater has, fellow movie goers being disrespectful by talking during the film, messing with their phones, letting their kids run around and things of that nature. I honestly have no idea how to remedy that tho, and I'm sure the folks at the National would if they could, but really, what can you do? People are gonna be people. Oh, and I also miss the "Two yanks in Trinidad" poster that use to hang just inside the staircase. I hope this theater is around forever.

I came here recently and saw Lilo and Stitch with my family. A friend who lives in Fort Worth…read morerecommended it this theater. My experience was above average. I got here an hour and 15 minutes before the movie started, but at the time I came Lilo Stich wasn't brand new so I didn't expect a crowd. However I wanted to check out the dining area after driving an hour to get here. This way I can soak up the whole experience without it feeling rushed if I had come on time. The website does suggest arriving 90 minutes early. That's may be so worth weekend openers to get a good parking spot in front of the screen. For a movies that's been out and while it seem like an hour to 30 minutes before would be fine. There were no new movies when I went and there were plenty of parking spaces near the screen. My kids got a chicken sandwich and a burger. It's a no-frills burger with just the meat and cheese. My chicken sandwich was a bit over lukewarm however thankfully the flavor, crispiness, was good. The bun wasn't soft perhaps it was getting old, because it had some firmness to it. My daughter said the burger was average. My wife got the pepperoni pizza, this was a decent size, however the crust was undercooked. Pizza is average. I also tried the funnel cake which was 7/10. I also had the popcorn which was made fresh and delicious. The cotton candy was good too. In the dining area there's a slushy truck and a plate area for young kids they also have Connect Four and Corn hole. They also have a dedicated bar here and bathrooms in this area which were clean. My movie experience was good. It was bug free too (. My car kept on shutting off the radio (the movie sound plays through a FM station/ until I turned the engine on. Just prepare to idle your car or risk a dead battery if you have this feature. The movie quality was clear and the crowd was respectful and courteous. If you're into drive in movies this one is a go and definitely worth a first-time experience at best.

That said, Cinemark Rave Ridgmar 13 and XD definitely meets the mark. The theater itself is comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Every auditorium features stadium seating with fully reclining chairs, which makes the movie experience that much more enjoyable. One of the best features is the design of each row--there's a large privacy wall behind each one, so you're not distracted by people behind you or having your view blocked. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference. While the surrounding Ridgmar Mall has seen better days--especially since Neiman Marcus moved to Clearfork and most of the other stores followed--it's worth noting that the mall is still kept in good condition. It may feel like a ghost town now, with just a few stores and a nearly empty food court, but I truly hope someone invests in revitalizing it. The location and structure have so much potential. If you're just looking to catch a great movie in comfort, Cinemark Rave Ridgmar 13 is a solid choice.

Well it's gonna be short and sweet, The theater is always pretty clean in my experience, well staffed and reasonably priced considering the prices around town these days. Nice pleather auto recliners , they offer movies in XD and now D Box as well which I'm not sure even does anything as I went to a movie once and didn't notice anything different about the seat but maybe it was just me or that movie idk. Overall this is my favorite theater in town to go see movies, the matinee is only $7.50 which I love and never had any problems here, so if you're looking for a good movie theater that's not as expensive as the Tavern then I would definitely recommend Rave cinema!
