Makes for a lovely relaxing meal. Along with this they are now serving fantastic meals, specialising in traditional English cuisine they never fail to produce a great meal. Time has not been kind to the place opver the years though, and despite changing hqands several times over the last decade or so, it now seems to be a place which is just about surviving. People of my age (I'm 32) who grew up locally will pobably have fond memories of this place - in the old days it was always packed at weekends and did good business. Also in the old days, they sold very nice pub meals - the chicken chasseur here was fabulous. These days, theres nothing to distinguish it from any of the other places within walking distance. It still does business, mainly at weekends, but its nothing like it used to be and the feel of the place has changed so much, and not for the better. Beers - and occasional guest ales, wines, spirits, soft drinks on sale as you'd expect. Sadly, theres no more foodshame.
