Im realizing that I'm always harder on retail shops, because deep down I don't really like shopping to begin with. I'm just so much happier to have something magically show up on my doorstep. I have nothing negative to say about the store clerks here, but it does seem like their dressing rooms or maybe just the whole place could use a facelift. It just feels cramped and cluttered, like I fell into a well-lit closet full of distressed denim and brightly colored cardigans. As always, the store has a bunch of sizes (from tiny up to size 16) for you to try on. It's very rare that they run out of the popular sizes unless they're at the end of the season. The saleswomen at this location are fantastic and they constantly come in the dressing area to ask how you are doing and to see if they can get you any other sizes. I especially like the fact that they suggest different accessories (belt, shrugs, jackets) for each outfit and they have low-heeled shoes for you to wear when you try on your outfits in case you happen to be in winter boots or running shoes like I usually am! As the name states, they carry white, neutral and black stuff....but it's all clothes that you can mix and match with more colorful stuff from other places if you like that pop of color in your wardrobe. The cuts of the clothes are very flattering for all kinds of different body types and ages. I've seen everyone from tiny girls to "Rubinesque" ladies, from teenagers to grandmothers walk out of this store with something in hand that they were excited to wear. The lighting in the store and the fashions make it feel like Saks or Nordstrom, not Dillard's. Meaning it's a lot more ritzy. It has pockets of high end brands, and the entire store presents very well. INVENTORY: Dillard's recently really started keeping up with the times. Compared to its competition, it's really fashion-forward. Around the holidays, I noticed that there are a lot of very trendy dresses in relevant colors and gorgeous fabrics. They are also very well styled with faux furs hugging the shoulders or sparkly boleros. There are also exciting party shoes - sparkly, with bows, and all the shimmer! Recently, I visited in September 2019 to buy a new duvet cover and sheets for my bed. The whole set costs about $60 and it came with pillow covers and a decorative pillow. Since our couch order was heavy, we opted for 'room of choice' as our delivery option, which included the delivery team carrying the couch up a max of 2 flights of stairs. This was needed by us because we're on the 3rd floor of an apartment that doesn't have elevators. On the day of delivery, the 3rd party delivery service that's contracted with BB&B sends us something with fine print that states they only carry orders over the threshold of the building, and leave it there. When we ask to maintain the service we paid for, our delivery was cancelled, pending working it out with BB&B customer service. Next, customer service repeatedly tries to tell us we requested something outside the listed terms of 'room of choice' delivery, thinking we were asking them to go up more than two flights of stairs. Once they finally understood we didn't ask for anything that wasn't included in that delivery option, tmhey told us they would refund the extra money for the delivery option we paid for, but it was up to us to take the couch up the stairs. When we told them that was unacceptable and wanted a refund, they initially claimed it would be labeled "buyers remorse" and we'd be charged anywhere between $100-695, which would be 50% of the total price. After standing up for ourselves and pointing out that this was false advertising, (we were denied a service that was included in what we paid for), they eventually granted us a full refund, after weeks of arguing back and forth. What a nightmare. The company never took any responsibility in the process for contracting with a company that refused to meet a service they advertised, nor did they attempt to find another delivery service that could accommodate. Pathetic customer service, they lost a customer for life. Don't order online with them!
