The kindest older woman checked me out, immediately curious about my purchase because she needed shoe recommendations. I thought I would try on a few of the promising items I saw on their website, but they were not to be found at this store. The web site offers tees and polos of different fits and fabrics, but the in-store displays only had a table of various tees with no identification, and very few polos (already out of season). Also, there was only one person at the counter, with a line of five people waiting to check out, and sales people were few and far between. I'd rather buy at their online store, and only use this location for fast, free, and easy returns. I also believe Gap is encouraging the move to the website. Today's sale, for example, has a 40% in-store discount with an additional 10% discount if you buy online. Meh to the store experience.

I've walked through the all sections and observed the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The floorplan is exactly like every other Kohl's so the customer should have no issues getting around. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch.

When I got back home, I tried to reorder the correct pack but the web site indicated that they were out of stock. They were having a big sale (up to 25% I think) off the entire store, so we were doubly intrigued. The sales lady started dressing rooms for both of us, being attentive but not pushy. The clothing here is for outdoorsy types, or athletic types, but I got a skort, shirt, pants and lingerie for, well, a lot, but I think they are a good investment. The register was a bit hectic, as they asked us for our email address for an 'additional' percent off. I think it worked but I never did get an email from them! I was ok spending a little extra, saving on shipping, though I have probably never ordered from them online. I may stop in next time I'm in the area or order online after a holiday bonus and a huge end of year sale online.
