Old navy , here in the route 440, JC area, has been around for some time now. I find it to have a great selection of clothes for children with very reasonable prices and great sales! The store might get chaotic looking, but I've been to this store, when it has also been immaculately clean and well organized! During the holidays, and with kids running around too, things can tend to get hectic and overwhelming. However, I have found staff to be very helpful and friendly. I have found great gifts for friends and family here and they also have great clearance sales! I'm just happy , we have a choice of a good clothing store for men women and kids around this area where prices are affordable and reasonable! Their quality of clothes are also very good. I definitely recommend and the fact that there is also, free parking lot is always a plus! read more

This place was a complete mess. EVERY table in the Men's Dept. was just a pile of random items, styles and sizes. The wall of jeans and t-shirts were just shoved onto shelves. There were huge piles of clothes, and hangers on the floors everywhere in the store. Instead of cleaning anything up, I saw one employee picking clothes out of a pile and trying them on. Another kicked an item that was on the floor under a table, rather than picking it up. None of the employees greeted me or interacted with me.They seemed oblivious, lazy and lacking any customer service skills. If I could give this Old Navy location a negative 10, I would. The staff lacks knowledge about their store's policies, motivation, and general common sense. I was there two weeks ago to return an ill fitted shirt. The cashier told me they don't take returns...ummm, you sure do particularly when the tags are still on and the customer is holding the receipt of a item purchased a week before. I was there today and they didn't have the shirt size I needed. I asked the cashier for help...ironically the same one who told me 2 weeks earlier that they didn't take returns, to see if they had anymore in the back. She asked a coworker on the sales floor who was literally standing right in the front of the shirt I needed in a different size if he could look for k. He said, " I don't know what shirt what shirt you're talking about." I said the one right there and pointed at it. He genuinely appeared confused and said, "What shirt?" Yikes. After the confused man didn't bother to look right in front of him or on the back, the cash said they didn't have it. I pulled up the shirt online which was actually $5.00 more online than the store and asked if they could call another store to see if they had it. She said no. Odd. I asked why the shirt was more online than the store. She didn't know...okay, fine. I asked that since I wanted to buy the shirt but they didn't have my size could the shirt which was in stock in a store in NYC be delivered to their store or be sent to me. She said no. Again, kind of odd. A snarky assistant manager who was next to her said, "Well, you could just go in to the City to get it." Apparently he's failed to watch the local news as everyday is a gridlock alert day in Manhattan right now, plus the toll are roughly $18.00. So he basically told me I should spend $40.00 on tolls and gas to buy a shirt for $20 online that was $15 in the store. Absurd. I left feeling extremely annoyed for the exceptionally poor customer service and appalled at the level of stupidity. It's also worth noting that the store was messy. My fiancé and I recently moved to the area and were so happy to find a store close to our new apartment. We frequent this store for clothing and found that every time we go it becomes an even more negative experience than the last. First off, the store is a chaotic disaster with piles of clothes everywhere, making it very difficult to find items or certain sizes. The clothes hanging on the racks are completely disorganized, leading us to believe that some items were on sale, only to find that they were not on sale once we got to the register, as there are zero price scanners in the store. In addition, we found that the customer service at the store is nonexistent. No one is friendly and it makes us not want to return to that store. It also appears understaffed during peak hours and on weekends. It's unfortunate especially since we spend a great amount of money in-store and online, as proven by our Navyist cards. We know this store isn't an accurate representation of Old Navy as a whole, but it is unfortunate that this store is reflecting their brand so poorly. read more

I remember back in the good ol' days when going to Old Navy was like the equivalent of going to Nordstrom. There were hardly any around, and it was a joy just to walk into one. Nowadays, there are about as many Old Navy locations as Starbucks locations. And each one seems to be hit or miss. The one here in my neck of the woods seems to be more hit than miss. Usually, I luck out and find what I came looking for. But sometimes, they run out of the color that I want, so I have to get the second or third color choice. But hey, when I'm getting two short sleeve, lima bean-yellow suits for $10, I'm really in no position to be complaining, now am I? read more

There are always tons of deals! I just bought a dress for $12 and another one for $8....great summer left overs that you can wear next year. There isn't a lot of people at this one ether. However is the store is always a mess, but at these prices who cares. read more

I was next door at Lowes and decided to check out the sales. I was so surprised by how neat and organized this store was. It was a pleasure to walk around and actually see all their merchandise. I didn't find anything I wanted but I will be coming back here. This store isn't as big as other Old Navy's but that's okay. read more

Very helpful staff member (management, I believe) went to the storeroom to find jeans in my husband's size as none were on the floor and she brought a selection of washes for me to pick from. 3 stars for selection. I get that I was there during a bit of a seasonal change. But compared to other suburban Old Navy locations that I've visited (in various US locales), this one was just a bit sparse. I have been to the Old Navy in Jersey City on 440 recently twice, and I must say that ALL the workers were so nice and friendly and helpful. I was greeted with a 'Hello and Welcome to Old Navy' upon my arrival each time. As I was walking around, I was asked if I needed help. Everything was all over the floor, EVERYWHERE! A sloppy mess. It was like a mob came through and fought for the non-existent sales and left. Shut it down and regroup! I actually had to dig through mounds of clothes behind the clearance rack. That's not a good look. read more

Everyone has to love an Old Navy, they always have super cute cheap clip flops, nice casual wear, and easy gift ideas. This one doesn't have the best selection but hey, it does the job:) I really like going to their clearance section and finding some bargains. The staff is pretty cool and generally helpful. I did find a few of their items to be a bit overpriced for basic tees but overall it has some good deals. The fleece are my favorite gifting ideas for the person you have no clue what to get:) This is not the place to go for clothes that will blow you away, but nice for casual everyday wear. read more

I went into the fitting room and as I open the door the employee jasmine stands by the door and yells at me to get out and I told her "ok hold on, you don't have to wait by the door" & her response was "You're dressed aren't you? Get your stuff and get out" I told her how unprofessional she was and she simply replied "I know I'm not professional" and as soon as I walked out of the fitting room she slammed the fitting room door. I asked where was her manager at? & she said "I am the manager"and proceeds to slap her butt while walking away from me. I knew she wasn't the manager by her rude behavior, I found the manager because another associate told me where he was. After I reported the incident to the manager she kept following me around the store to provoke a fight. I was completely outraged by her unprofessional behavior, if you don't work well with the public then you shouldn't be working in customer service. Jasmine seems like the type of lady to bring a gun to her job and shoot up the store if someone gets her mad. I work in customer service and I would never behave this way, this behavior is completely unacceptable. I'll never return to this store to shop. If I could give this store zero stars I would do it in a heartbeat. read more

One of the worst customer experiences ever. Lazy employees who swear behind the cashier counter. Came her during off peak time to avoid lines and there was only one cashier working with 5 people standing in line. Instead of working faster to get through the long line, the cashier decided to have a long conversation with the customer about what piercings she wants. I asked the manager to open up another register since I was in a rush and there's a lot of customers waiting, but instead, she says she has to go to the back. At this point, I was extremely annoyed and left my shopping cart next to the register considering waiting in line has made me late for my appointment. An employee who hasn't even clocked in yet tells me to move the cart to the front. To which I responded I didn't need it anymore since I was done shopping. Also, the cashier purposely didn't give me the customer service survey attached at the end of every receipt. read more
