They were all speedy and friendly, helpful when it came to selecting cocktails and food. Chocolate martinis are still delicious, as are the fruity frou-frou drinks - but not that strong. And each time I got bubbly or a mimosa, it was warm. I still drank it, but meh. Drinks are still more than you'd want to pay for a not-so-stiff drink, but what hotel bar isn't pricey? I spent probs more than $100 just on myself, so I rec just buying a bottle. You have to have a wristband to access the pool and get towel service; not sure how to get a band if you're not staying at the hotel. I guess you could always rent a cabana. Which are pretty pimp. Flat screen TV, couches, fresh fruit, bottled water and of course, poolside view and VIP service. Cabanas sell out fast, so book early (weeks ahead, not days) if you're gonna drop in on a weekend. The crowd here is an even mix of families, hotties and regular Joes, which I like. I did, however, notice a lot of hot moms with their kiddos. Great idea for those moms looking for a quick getaway that can entertain both adults and youngsters. Potties: Please use them. Don't go in the pool. As added persuasion, the restroom inside the main lobby has a tub of fragrant salt scrub that's complimentary. They also have foot showers, a mojito bar, wet bar, hot tub, kiddie slide with a grotto. (The bar was lonely but most of the seats on the patio were occupied by friend groups). We had closed out on the first round of drinks with my card & had signed and tipped it. Then we ordered more drinks but with a different tab and card BUT at the end of the night, we were being charged for all the drinks, including the ones we had previously paid & already tipped for. The new tab that was opened only had one drink on it, and the bartender had reopened our previous tab and added the second round to there. When we brought this up to the bartender he was denying that we had already paid the first tab even though we clearly remembered signing the receipt and handing it back to him. He said he triple checked their system and did not see that tab and was ensuring us that it was not paid (the credit card already showed the charge). Finally, a different bartender that didn't even serve us somehow found the receipt. That was kind of crazy because he ensured us that he looked for it EVERY where and there was no sign of it and that he didn't recall us paying & signing the receipt for the drinks. If you do end up giving this place a try, make sure to ask for an itemized receipt so you know exactly what you are paying for and that there aren't any additional charges like they tried to push on us.

This was Vudoo Viet-Cajun rather than traditional, and I think it was the perfect first choice for the season - with just enough spice, just enough citrus, and decently sized mud bugs, our three pounds practically put us in a swoon. Beerfoot serves crawfish at 2:00 on Sundays throughout the season, excluding Mother's day, and my advice is to get there around 1:00, find your table, get a beer, and prepare for some very good eats!
