He has frequently taken the time to listen to our inventory desires (we are craft beer fanatics and always on the lookout for a rare beer variety) and always remembers to show us when something new is on the shelf. I've also seen them involved in local community events and know that they emphasize buying local. Another added bonus is that they offer delivery. I highly recommend giving this place your business.

The price point was equal to if not better than the online price point, so I appreciate the affordable options. But if I could rate separately, I would give staff two stars. Yes, we walked in about 20ish minutes before store closing, but that shouldn't matter. You're still open and serving customers, and we weren't the only one in there. We were having trouble finding something else we were looking for and went to go ask the staff to point us in the right direction but they were too busy hanging out with each other and so blatantly ignoring us and other customers that we were rather aghast at the behavior. When we went to check out the staff member didn't even look at us and didn't even talk to us. I don't mind not having the conversation, but it's like she was barely able to even check us out. You work in a customer service role, so that's your job. My friend mentioned that it's likely the sort of attitude the staff were displaying at closing is likely the attitude they display during their whole shift. Not personable, completely unfriendly and absolutely unhelpful.

We stopped in as I've been on the hunt for Chartreuse (yellow and green) and I received a similar response from the gentleman at the Customer Service desk - "we are out and boy, that's hard to come by." With a smile, I agreed and said we are from out of state and I figure I will just keep asking and maybe at some point I'll hear "I'm in luck." Prices were a bit higher than other stores, by a few dollars, so if you are price conscious, I'd shop around. If variety and finding more obscure items, I'd recommend stopping in.

They always look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language when I'm trying to tell them what I want. The other 2 gentlemen I've seen there though are always on top of it and have good suggestions. There has been more times than I would like that I e had to go to a different liquor store because they were sold out of the wine I usually buy. The positive is when I told them about the different flavors of wine that Stella rose had they started ordering in a bunch which was a highlight since before that they only carried the black. This is still one of my favorite liquor stores and it's only 2 blocks from my house! Easy to stop by on my way home from a stressful day out.

But what I like about this place, other than its close proximity to Old Town, is the selection of inexpensive, quality wine! I can always find good wine ranging in price from $5.50 to $10.00. I have found that other liquor stores either don't bother carrying wine with a low price point, or if they do it is better off used as cooking wine. My husband has also found that the beer prices are better than other stores in town for Avery, Left Hand, New Belgium, etc. Again, it is a little rough around the edges, and if I could give partial stars, this might be a 3 and a half. Oh! And I almost forgot! If you bring in a cork, you get a dollar off your bottle of wine. How sweet is that?
