Big parking lot and easy access from Leif Erikson Dr. We just wanted a quick few bites before leaving Astoria. From the people eating there, looks like this is a place for locals. The youthful staff are friendly. P grabbed a deluxe burger a la carte so he could help me finish. No sauce cuz we're not into condiments and I got a basket of curly fries. The fries are nicely seasoned and perfectly crispy. P said his burger was good. Between us it was just the right amount of food and prices are pretty reasonable to boot.

Found Fort George right down the street from our hotel and they had a black bean burger on the menu (whooo!) Headed over for a late lunch/early dinner at 3 pm. You can choose from the wood fired pizza section upstairs (I believe they take reservations) or the pub downstairs (first come first serve) which has a few indoor tables, some semi-outdoor tables that are well covered with a roof and glass sides, or a fully outdoor beer garden with covered and un-covered picnic tables. You order at the counter and then pick your table, they'll drop off the food to you. We opted for the black bean veggie burger which came with pepper jack cheese, guac, some Aioli, and a side of fries. It was very good and exactly what we were craving. They did have a vegan chicken sandwich that looked good but instead I went with a side salad with poppy seed dressing. The salad was fresh and so delicious and the dressing was perfection! Also did a side of hummus and veggies. The hummus wasn't fresh/home made, rather it was from a local place (I believe) and was pretty good. We didn't have their beer but they did have a large selection with varying ABVs and types (the fresh hop IPAs looked extra good); however we didn't see any non-alcoholic options when we looked. We had the ice tea which was fine as well as a Lüp, which was a sparkling hop water, it was pretty good. They also have a gift shop with shirts, hats, beers, and more. They had four (!!!) different types of aged barleywines - we regret not getting some to bring back home. Everyone working was also welcoming, friendly, and helpful when I had a few questions about the menu. Would recommend and we'll come back the next time we're in town !

The broad outdoor patio is absolutely incredible, and a place to spend any nice weather day. I am a big fan of all the fish and chip varieties that they have cooked over the years. The beers are all fantastic and make any moment worth it for me. I was lucky to experience two separate experiences here last weekend, and, the first was the worst. After waiting in a short line for 25 minutes, we finally decided to depart, since we were in a rush and could not continue to wait for 3 more groups to move at a pace of one per five minutes. Terrible experience - put more people up from or go mobile menu! Later that day, we spent a good hour here for a wedding happy hour, with the venue rented. Beers were great, and they made the best White Summer (50% beer, 50% cider) I have had! The food were all fantastic, and the barrel room was a great space with good access to stand outside. However, the staff were quite rude to several guests about drinking alcohol outside - the door sign was often blocked or too small - and we were told to not use the general patio - so figure that out to make it a more positive experience.

I had friends over to watch Mariners, so I called and asked for two orders of their Chicken Wings. Both flavors (BBQ and hot) were FANTASTIC. Cooked right. Delicious. So about a month later, we came back for the buffet, AYCE salad, drinks, pizza. The salad bar was top notch, loved it. Everything fresh. The pizza had a nice selection. We werent big fans of the sauce. Crust was great. But ALOT of people love the pizza here, so we might come back again. The buffet is a great way to experience their pizza and vibe w/o a 'full commitment' :) The restaurant was spotless, tables quickly bussed/cleaned. Service was super friendly and polite. Bonus green star for earth friendly leaves me at 5 stars, would recommend!

Add in the incredible views of the Columbia River, and it's easily one of the coolest places in Astoria to relax and enjoy a drink. The cocktails are creative, beautifully crafted, and absolutely delicious. Their clam chowder is fantastic too. Thick, hearty, and loaded with meat, with a great consistency and a rich, classic chowder flavor. There was also a subtle hint of fennel that gave it something a little different without overpowering the traditional taste. After doing a chowder crawl and trying 10 different restaurants around Astoria, I would confidently put Inferno Lounge in second place, just behind Portway Tavern. Between the amazing river views, fun atmosphere, inventive drinks, and outstanding chowder, Inferno Lounge is definitely a place worth visiting!
