We went with our daughter's family on Saturday including our 2 year old granddaughter. The rides are restricted to children 52 inches tall and less, (except for the carousel). This is a wonderful place to take the little ones! It is run by a non-profit and volunteers. Free admission and parking, and the rides are all 25 cents. You get tickets, 4 for a dollar (cash only), and the rides are one ticket. It is open Friday to Sunday in the summer. I am sure we will be back in future years. read more

Came to see the Carousel Park while in Olcott yesterday but wasn't able to go in since it was locked up tight due to Covid. It's a cute little amusement park on Lake Ontario. I emphasize the word little. There's only a handful of rides but honestly for little ones It's perfect. They get to ride a few rides, watch a magic show or whatever other kids entertainment they have on their stage and maybe get a ice cream. After that you can head down to Olcott Beach or over to Krull Park. And it won't cost you an arm and a leg! Best part to me though is their vintage arcade with old time skee ball machines. You can play for $.25 a game! They even have a chalk board on the wall for recording the high games of the day. read more

This is just perfect for young ones. It is very clean. There are rides that are perfect for toddlers and young children. Each ride is .25. There is a park next door to have a picnic lunch and you can go down to the small beach that has a lifeguard at the lake. Not far is a splash pad that is free. Step into the past with 25 cent rides! For only ten dollars our kids 2-6 enjoyed riding all of the rides. There are boats, planes, cars, rockets, and a carousel, all of which spun around in circles. This may not sound exciting to you but to a kid every ride is a new adventure and watching their faces is a brand new experience every time. Occasionally, open is the vertically spinning Farris wheel. There is a max height limit of 52 inches but there is a ski ball game, ice cream, and food. While you're there, do catch the 2:00 magic show. It's charming and very entertaining for the kids. Nearby is a park and "Lake beach". I do not suggest planning to swim in this beach as majority of the time the water is filled with E.Coli but that is for another yelp review. In conclusion, if you have a toddler to entertain for an afternoon this is worth the drive. read more

A couple people recommended this park to me because I have a preschooler, and I definitely have to pass this recommendation on to other parents of young kids. The park is extremely affordable, with no admission fee and tickets only 25 cents a piece. All the rides cost one ticket, and the duck game costs two. My son tried one ride after watching other kids on it, but he immediately hated it after it started. We told the ride attendant and she stopped the ride, telling the other kids to stay in their seats while she helped my son off. I appreciated how quickly this was handled, without any judgment or shame. Unfortunately my son refused to try any of the other rides, as they are very similar (going around in a circle), but he still enjoyed the duck game and the Perry's ice cream, which was our biggest expense at the park but not outrageous. For older folks (ages 8+), there's skee ball, and people of all ages can ride the carousel. There's a magic show everyday starting at 2 pm, but we didn't stay to see it since we needed to start our drive home. Bathrooms are very clean, and they have rocking chairs for parents with babies, plus a fenced off area for nursing moms. The park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Even though the rides were not a hit with my kiddo this year, we'd like to come back next summer since he still had a positive experience, and it's so affordable. Perfect for small children. This a nice little "kiddie park". There is a double-tier carousel, and four additional rides (slow vehicles that go in a circle: Planes, Boats, Cars, Rockets). There is still a small ferris wheel but it's been closed since 2020. Hopefully they bring it back now that other festivals/carnivals are operating in full. All rides are still only 25 cents each! There are restrooms, a small food/ice cream stand, and a (very small) vintage arcade. This park is perfect for ages 2-5(6?); much more than that and it would probably feel a little dull. read more

Nestled between Olcott Beach and Knull Park, a great stop for a girls day out! We stopped by for Old Olcott Days and had a fun time! They had a skeeball competition going, rides, games, ice cream and other food! They also had a historic wagon ride, wine tastings, farm stand, and more! I'm torn between wishing this small amusement park and Olcott Beach in general drew a larger crowd and appreciating that it isn't swarmed with visitors. It's definitely for smaller children. I wish we moved here sooner because our five year olds probably only have another year or two of enjoyment ahead, but what a great place! All rides are merely a quarter. They include the main carousel that parents can ride as well, a small ferris wheel, planes that rise, boats that rock, cars, and rocket ships. Our twins were able to ride everything, including the planes twice, for $4. Concessions are inexpensive, too. The park is open weekends starting Memorial Day Weekend from noon to 6. I think it's open everyday from July through September. It might be dog friendly, too. We noticed water dishes and a bin of dog biscuits inviting people to take one. Well worth a day trip from Buffalo or maybe even Rochester because there's also a small beach and the Lakefront Shoppes, as well as Krull Park a short drive away. After we spent an hour at the carousel park we played along the shore of Lake Ontario before taking the boys to cool off at the Krull Park splash pad. Perfect afternoon! read more

What a great place for family fun for little kids! We took our 6 and 3 year old sons on a slightly cloudy July day, just after lunch. There were plenty of people for it to feel festive, and just enough to teach your kids about waiting their turn, but not so many that they ever really had to wait in line. There are 6 rides (rockets, cars, boats, carousel, rocket swings, and Ferris wheel), plus Skeeball (for 8+years), Duck Pond (prizes), and arcade, snack bar (with Perry's, of course), and a free magic show in the outdoor theatre, each day the park is open at 2pm. The rides are only $.25 a piece. The staff is friendly and good with kids. The bathrooms were clean and had a sink and hand dryer at the right height for small children. There are plenty of seats throughout the space at adult and kid height. Most amusing part for me is the use of standard signs that say "no smoking" and "no pregnancy" when it's clearly a kids park and you have to be less than 52" to ride. What a gem! read more

My daughter's first carousel ride was here yesterday, and she loved it. Rides are perfect for the 2-5 crowd. including the carousel, there were a about 6 kiddie rides. The price was perfect at 25¢ a ride. Almost no walking at all, everything was close together. Plenty of opportunities for ice cream and lunch as well. Kudos to the committee who brought this park back to life! As a child, my grandparents (seasonal residents of Olcott) would bring me to the original park for a few hours of rides and fun. It was always one of my most favorite memories growing up. :) Recently I had the opportunity to bring my niece and nephew here and it was just as fun! Tickets are $0.25 per ride (more than an arms length for $5) and you can use the tickets the following year, too. They don't expire! The kids loved everything about this place. We went on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't very crowded. Kids as young as 1 and up to 52"in height (So toddler-sized?) can ride. There is a carousel (perfect for adults to ride on, too!), a car ride, boat ride, rocket swing, sky fighter, and ferris wheel. There is also an organ, which my 1-year old nephew loved dancing to, and a few games (my niece loved selecting a duck out of the pond and seeing which prize she would win. (The prizes are tiny toys, such as a whistle, yo-yo, dinosaurs, airplane, etc.) We finished the fun off with an ice cream cone at the on-site refreshment stand. Picnic tables in all sizes (from kiddo-sized to adults) are available, as well as a pavilion for shade, and restrooms. After the park, you can take a short stroll across the street to enjoy the gorgeous view of Lake Ontario, a walk through Krull Park and the beach, and even visit the shops along the lakeshore. Olcott has always been one of my favorite places to visit during the summer and it's great to see how much it has come back to life in recent years! read more

SO MUCH FUN and a great deal too!! My daughter is 2 1/2 and she loved the rides. They went just fast enough to be fun for her, but not scary. All the rides are $0.25, plus there are vintage arcarde games as well. We went for the Anniversary Celebration so the Carousel was free. The weather was a little rainy so the lines were thin. My daughter loved it so much she has asked to go back every morning when she wakes. We'll head back there this weekend, hopefully the amount of press it got in the paper this week won't drive everyone to Olcott this weekend too. read more

I don't think we could have possibly loved this place more. Over the summer, we visited Olcott Beach with our 2 1/2 year old daughter and newborn baby. We were incredibly impressed from start to finish. First of all, it's in a BEAUTIFUL little town that overlooks Lake Ontario. The Park itself is clean, cheap (how do you beat $0.25 per ride!?), and the volunteers were all super friendly and kind. It was a beautiful day, and it was somehow NOT totally mobbed with people, so my daughter was able to go on all of the rides and had an absolute blast. We also watched a free magic show, which was enjoyed by one and all. If you have small children and live within an hour or two of Olcott Beach, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's the PERFECT family day trip. I can't wait to take both of my girls this year - at 1 and 3 1/2, they'll love it! read more

Wow what a change since the last time I was out to this area. Clean, vibrant, friendly and fun! The carousel park was perfect!! All of the rides are geared towards little kids (1-4) and only cost 25 cents a piece to ride!!!! OMG!!! There are 6 or 7 rides plus a few games for the little ones to play. There are ample places to eat, hang out or grab an ice cream cone (although we did not). The best part was how clean everything was- even the public restrooms (big deal if you have little ones)! The only downside is that they close on Labor Day. Kind of stinks especially when you have kids too young for school. read more

Great fun for small children...there are about 6-8 1940's era rides as well as a carousel. All rides are $0.25 each....How could you go wrong? There is some type of stage where they y do shows etc at different times.Staff is always pleasant and even if there are lines, it is usually less than a few minutes wait to get on the rides. The best!! We're obsessed with the feel of the little town and the fact that it's on a beautiful lake. This is a wonderful little piece of history preserved, with rides and an arcade that are a total blast from the past. It's incredibly well maintained and you can tell there's a lot of love, sweat and tears that's gone into it. The rides all work and are only 25 cents and the carousel has been free everytime we've gone. They have an organ that plays music which really adds to the atmosphere. I literally can't say enough good things about this place! It really is a hidden gem in Western New York and totally worth the 40 minute drive from Amherst/Erie County. Have taken my two-year-old twice this summer and he has had a ball both times. You can easily spend a few hours here but it's also worth it if you only can spend one hour - there are five kiddie rides plus the carousel and I would think it's pretty perfect for ages 2 to 5. They also have food and ice cream available, clean restrooms, a nursing mothers area, and it's steps away from some super cute shops right on the lake. We took our two year old last weekend and had a blast. Everything everyone else has said is true and we were not disappointed,. Rides are a quarter, the park is small but very clean and fun. Everything seems to be lovingly maintained. The volunteer workers were all super nice. Krull Park across the street has a spray pad where we could cool off and watch our little one run and splash. Did some cherry picking up at Singer Farms and decided to check out around Olcott beach as I have seen the Carousel Park rated on yelp. Being that I have young children it seemed to fit perfectly in with the day trip. Now its pretty small with probably less than 10 "rides" but they are all only $.25 each. So for $2 my kids got to check out a few and were quite happy we stopped in. Probably not worth a trip as the only reason to visit but can fit perfectly into a nice day out with the kids. read more

We were driving to Rochester after seeing Fort Niagara. I don't care for the interstate so we took the scenic route. We were all pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Very good and cheap. There is also a small country diner next door called Park Place Restaurant. Good grub with great prices. Make sure you try the curly fries. They make them fresh at the kitchen. read more

Hidden gem! I never heard of this place until this past week and my husband and I decided to take a Sunday day trip to check it out with our 2 year old. It was an hour 1/2 drive but so worth it! Our son loved it! Free admission, carousel was free and there were 5 additional kiddie rides .25c each. Popeye and olive costumed characters were there, magic shows at 2pm, balloon animals, skee ball and duck pond games, face painting and tattoos all free. They even had free fire truck rides around the block provided by Olcott fire department. (With lights and sirens) our son IS OBSESSED with fire trucks so this was a big deal for him! Also outdoor music on the lawn. We had lunch on the water, walked to a couple of the cute little souvenir shops along the boardwalk and had ice cream. All in all we spent $20 for the entire day! No parking fee or admission fee. It was a busy day but gratefully there was minimal waiting in lines for rides (less than a min). We will for sure be going back. The amusement park is right next to Krull park so next time I think we will bring a picnic lunch and walk across the street to picnic in the park. The staff was very friendly and cheerful and excellent with the kids! This isn't a large place but it's def great for kids ages 1 1/2-6ish. The rides do have a maximum height of 42".
