Given there aren't too many off-hotel property rentals in the area, they do have quite a few bikes and scooters for rent. The bike I got was very sturdy and I managed to negotiate for overnight as opposed to end of day return. He mentioned 100 pesos for a bike to be returned at 7pm when we went to pick up the bike around 11am yesterday. You have to pay the rental charges in cash, when you pick up the bikes. You also have to leave either your driver's license or your passport as the security deposit. Good news - you get em back upon returning your bike. All in all - a very good rental place for your bike / scooter needs in Tulum beach!

He provides a clear briefing about the dive plan, site orientation and points out local marine life - Pancho, the resident croc. He is able to make sure everyone is safe and is able to adapt to the group's needs and skill level and personal limits. His hand signals clear and consistent and he checks in frequently. Felt very safe and well-cared for. Even my husband said he had a great time, which says a lot. Thank you so much Rubi!!! He also gave us some local food spots that were also excellent. Would go and dive with Flying Fish again. Jamie is also very accomodating!

On one, the wheel buckled and the mudguard had been jury rigged with paper shoved in it so the bike broke 2 miles out from town and my boyfriend RAN the whole way back with the bike to get it fixed before they closed at 7pm. The next day, the other bike got a flat tire and he had to run almost the whole way back from the beach. AGAIN. Unlike Ola bike, they do not come help you if something breaks. We both went through multiple bikes in one week and they were all garbage. It got to the point we stopped bothering to go back. Ended up with one bike that was too small and had a kickstand that fell down going over every bump (dangerous) and one that had broken handle bars (weren't secure and couldn't be tightened with wrench)We weren't expecting much, but bikes that function and safely and relatively comfortably got us from Tulum town to the beach. Apparently that was too much to ask for. We made the most of it and it turned into a fun joke/ challenge for us, but the business owner should be ashamed. Do not rent here. We chose it because it was close to us despite having only one review. Don't let our mistake be yours.

This is the only bike rental place in playa that offered such quick friendly service and also the only company who offers discounted rates for longer term rentals. 4-7 days is only $35 and it goes down from there if you're looking for more than week. They were very responsive to my emails when I was setting up our rental for the day our cruise ship was to be in port, and the price and selection of bikes are excellent. We were looking forward to our experience on Cozumel that day. Unfortunately the Coronavirus or COVID19 or whatever you know it as lumbered into our path. The group of over 100 people we were cruising with on MSC decided to postpone the cruise because of the threat of the virus, and we did also, since the main reason we were going was to be with this group. We also heard that MSC was going to cancel the entire cruise, though they didn't in the end. Anyway, I emailed Rent a bike 8 days ahead to let them know our group was canceling the trip. I didn't hear back from them until the scheduled day of the ride when someone called and asked why we weren't there to get our bikes. I told her about my email and the canceled trip, but I don't think she understood between our two accents. (Funnily enough, we were riding our bikes locally when she called!) When I got home I emailed them again, forwarding my previous email, but I still haven't gotten a response. Perhaps that email address only works until the rental is paid for. I suspect I have lost the money I paid. It is partly my fault - hence the three stars - but I can't recommend them in case something goes wrong for you and I will have to find something else for us to do if and when the trip is rescheduled.

We rented a Specialized Roubaix and a Cervelo TT bike for one day. They delivered and picked up the bikes at our hotel. They were very punctual. Their reservation system is practical and easy to use, and they are very responsive via email or WhatsApp. The bikes were in very good shape, just a couple of scratches. The crankset was pristine. Payments are done via PayPal. The island of Cozumel is a great place to ride. There is a 40-mile-long two-lane bike path that goes around the island. The bike path is wide and safe and in pretty good condition. About 30 miles of the path are along the gorgeous Caribbean Sea. There are lots of virgin or slightly developed beaches along the ride where you can stop for a swim. You will also find places to eat or drink water every 5-10 miles. It's a great experience, we'll definitely come back and recommend this trip and Rent a Bike Cozumel to all our friends.
