Excellent meal! We came with a tour group and had a set menu. All 9 of us unanimously agreed that this is the best meal I'd our trip to date. The ingredients were seasonal and the dishes innovative without pretension. Standouts were the tempura broccoli, been tataki and the risotto. Best fries if the trip by far. Dessert was also delicious; despite being well dated by the amazing meal, dessert plates were clean. Vanilla ice cream with caramel and peanuts, had a peanut brittle vibe. A lovely layered berry cheesecake was also scrumptious. So good we may return tomorrow! read more

Not a five, but a good four. I had oysters with sushi vinegar and shallots, thai coconut-lime soup with tiger prawns and shiitake mushrooms, caesar salad with cajun chicken and garlic dressing accompanied by a French chardonnay. More of a business type place, although mid range pricing. Their lunch set menu is like 25 euros I think for two courses, which was not great value, but acceptable. Lebanese salad of eggplant, goats cheese, harissa dressing and caramelized walnuts the standout, followed by the quail and scallops. Oker is from now on my first choise when it comes to a nice dinner out. Their menu is exciting, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great! The most important part, the food is great! The dishes are mid-sized and I usually go for about three if I'm hungry. The veal tartare was great as well as the variations of duck liver. I'm not sure if the menu changes over time, but I really hope so! The staff is friendly and show great patience when we showed up without reservation and wanted to change table in the middle of the dinner :). The vibe is somewhere between after work and fine dining. Not to up-tight but on the other hand it's not going to get crazy either. Perfect mix! This is well worth a visit, even though it might be a bit more pricey than other alternatives. But it's definately worth a couple of euros extra. read more

Came here with a colleague with no expectation of the quality of food. Must say this restaurant caught me by surprise! Very good food. Recommend the tempura prawn, Salmon, Angus beef, and the cheese cake/Oker Sundae with the Tonka bean ice cream. read more

To summerize: Restaurant Oker delivers good food, good service and great interior at a price level which is neither modest, nor unaffordable. Good for business lunches, group and business dinners and casual dinners won't be dissappointed either. I had a group dinner here recently after having had two lunches here previously. Every time, the food was very good and quite original (expect green quinoa, up-to-date menu following latest trends and small size dishes). The wine list was also quite good (we had several Italian reds which were all reasonably priced and of good quality). Although I remember all visits vividly and the food was always good, I can't really recall something that gave me a wow-effect (thats why I rated it four stars). What this place could really use is a good signature dish which makes your head spin and your tummy rumble (in a good way;-)). Nonetheless, good place which I will definetely frequent when I'm in town again. read more

After ignoring the place for a while due to lack of time to go everywhere, we started a few weeks ago to go again here (thanks to a neighbor place hat was full) First of all the service: people are friendly and efficient. Running around at night when the place is full but they get it done ;-) For the food: same comments as in my previous review. Great interior and patio at this place, hipster cozy! Staff was nice and service was quick. The food was good although one of my meals (pork with piccalily) was trying too hard (way hard)! Bavette with red kale was amazing though! This place serves "medium courses" so you pretty much need at least two. The place was pretty fully booked so I would recommend reserving if you want to be sure! Tasty food with a bit of style. I went with the scallops, Iberian pork and rack of lamb while drinking mojitos. It is worth noting that the servings are appetiser size so you'll need 2-4 dishes. Good service too - rather attentive. Overall, it's slight pricy but well worth a visit. read more

The ambiance of this place is excellent. The truffle risotto is scrumptious. It's a concept restaurant - all the food on the menu are starter portion sized - which is awesome as you can try multiple items. Staff weren't friendly and were very indifferent towards us as we were tourists, probably. read more

Met colleagues here for drinks and dinner after work. Nice little patio for pre-dinner drinks and meeting up. Range of option and ambiance make it good for a not maxing out the expense account fine dining experience or as a good meet up for drinks and apps place. On a nice, quaint Hague street w/ lots of restaurant options. Here's my overall thoughts: Service - 4 stars! Occassionally service was a little slow to check in or serve... but, friendly, polite and refined overall. Ambiance - 4 stars - very nice, fine dining look inside (try to reserve the round table that is set up by the kitchen if making reservations for the group) Food - 3-4 stars - not a huge range of selection, but everything everyone chose they liked. I had a cajun chicken caeser (I know, I know - not the most exciting choice on the planet - but, it was good and they'd put their own spin on it. Tasted and highly recommend the truffle risotto. Drinks/desserts - 4+ stars - I'd come here for just these. Very good wine and cocktail selection , beautifully presented and tasting desserts. read more

Great food! We had truffle risotto, mussels, pumpkin ravioli, and pork buns. Everything was delicious! Service was prompt. The place is a little eclectic and didn't feel snooty. We arrived close to when the kitchen was about to close and yet they still accommodated us for dinner. read more
