I made an appointment, which was very easy and quick, and Carlos took it in. He recommended reprogramming it, not replacing, got the problem corrected for about $800. Everything is now running smoothly. In addition he pointed out an issue with my battery connection, and I was able to take my car back to the quick oil change place I use and get them to fix it for free. Communication was very good with ASE throughout, they were very friendly and helpful, and I am very happy with the experience. Would definitely use them again!

He knows all about the inherent factory defects and poor/weak designs that come on new cars and he knows how to correct all that. If you just need a part for the transmission, he will just replace the part. If you need a full rebuild, he will not mince words, but he WILL take the time to absolutely explain every little detail of why it failed and how he is going to fix it. Ruben senior immediately reviewed the history and recommended checking the solenoids before making a call. The car ran great for o another year plus when the light illuminated again. We were out of town at the time and Ruben Jr. called me twice to discuss how to deal with the situation. I was able to get the car checked and confirmed the solenoid problem that could be addressed on our return. Master European ordered the parts and is now making the repair which did not involve any of the previously recommended expensive work by the other shop.
