She has a 2017 Nissan Sentra that only takes FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGES, (required every 10k miles) and yet they have her brining this car back every 3k for a 95+ dollar oil change. I found this out and about blew a gasket. How could you do this to a young girl??? I called and asked and they said we do that for all oil changes. BS look at this from there very own website: Synthetic oil Change every 10,000-15,000 miles, but some performance synthetics can go longer. I wish this owner had the courage to call and explain this one to me. #1concernedpapaw Update-turns out this car has a setting to let the driver adjust how frequently to notify you for maintenance. It's set from the factory at 10k, they changed that to 3k to get her in more often. Unbelievable

The individual in the bunker was screaming at teammates with an off accent that made me question if they were sober or not. I have NEVER had such a vindictive team as the one at Festus, Missouri. I denied a air filter change as I was 40 minutes max from my destination and can complete it myself. Their team overtorqued my air intakes screws to where they couldn't be removed without ratchet and force enough to where one of the screws was broken. What was terrifying and would keep me from returning as well as telling my worst enemy to steer clear was a used towel from their team in the air intake box was awaiting my discovery when replacing the filter. Steer clear.

Service & quality of work has been great, as well as affordable. I get VERY stressed about anything car related, but I've been truly at ease both visits. I have also waited in the lobby area with my toddler both visits, and they have a little table with coloring books and I feel very comfortable in their space. This is definitely my "go to" auto shop for any future needs and highly recommend

Had my car towed here due to an alternator failure and some tire issues. The quote was extremely…read morehigh compared to other shops in the area but I only had one tow so despite other people saying they were high I figured I would give them a chance. I touched base with the shop to let them know I was working on finances. As I was trying to come up with the large sum of money I was able to find another shop to repair for almost 600 less. I called today to have it towed and they would not release my vehicle until I paid diagnostic fees that totaled $162. Despite multiple communications between Art and I not one time were any diagnostic fees talked about. I wasn't told when I called to let them know it was coming. It wasn't discussed when he provided me with estimates. It wasn't discussed or disclosed EVER. It was two separate fees. One to tell me my alternator died which I knew before I even had it towed there and told him that. The second was a fee to visually inspect my tire and joint. Please stay away from this shop. This is shady business. Be up front and professional with your potential customers when you provide them pricing. Listen to other peoples reviews also. I didn't agree to a fee. I didn't sign anything saying id pay a fee and it was never ever talked about. Had it been id completely understand. People do not work for free and I get that. But this was just wrong In response to the person below NEVER, NOT ONE time was a diagnostic fee disclosed or talked about and you're a liar if you say you told me that. You gave me a quote for services. Broke it down and never not one time ever mentioned the fees and I spoke to you MULTIPLE TIMES. you even thanked me for keeping you updated on the status of my vehicle being there because I was worried it was there for multiple days. You told me not to worry you usually don't stress over it until a vehicle has sat for over 30 days. At any point in time even when I called you to let you know I was having it towed there did you ever mention the fees. Ever. Stop being a liar and trying to make yourself feel better or have your shop look better by pointing out any other reviews I left. That's why reviews exist. I can show you every single time I spoke to you in my call history. The only time I was told about any fees was when I called you to say I was having it removed off your lot. I kept you informed every step of the way and was honest with what my situation was. Sorry I didn't have $1800 sitting around. But go ahead and say that to try and make me look "worse" I should have recorded all those calls so then I could have the audible proof that you're a liar. I never was told about the fees. I never agreed to the fees and I never signed anything regarding acknowledgement of fees. You set a receipt in my vehicle and didn't even provide the estimate copy and I bet the diagnostic fee wasn't even on it because it wasnt ever disclosed. The receipt I have was generated on the day I picked it up. In general as a human being, lying is shady and non disclosure is shady. In a business it's a disgusting practice. Do better and you wouldn't get shitty reviews. I leave honest reviews and the only other auto shop issue I had was again the truth and the shop actually apologized. So piss off trying to degrade my character. So very unprofessional Bates Automotive & Restoration Center (Owner) an hour ago Just to clarify we DO advise there will be diag fees upfront before any vehicle is looked at or an appointment is made. We can't take a customers word the alternator is bad, if we did and installed a new one and the problem wasn't fixed, then we would be the "bad guys" for not verifying that WAS the issue. We need to be certain we are fixing the issue at hand, not just a blown fuse or ect. And let's not leave out the car was here for 8 days while for "managed" your finances and the other shop you're using in your own words here, " a personal mechanic" not even a shop. Of course Billy Bob will be cheaper without overhead and staff to pay for. And once again using YOUR words here, "People do not work for free and I get that" but when we charge for diag fees, we're somehow the "shady ones" Judging by the other reviews from this customer, any repair shop is out to get her.

I purchased a used vehicle from these guys and when I test drove I noticed a wobble in the steering…read morewheel when braking also a whining coming from somewhere about 2300 rpm and front tires were low on tread. I mentioned these issues to my sales which notified the manager. I was told by the manager that 4 different mechanics looked at it and it was just the tires. That didn't sit well with me as it only happened during breaking. I was also told they would work with me on the tires as there wasn't much h tread left. After calling and leaving a message for the manager to call me back I decided to just make an appointment which I was correct about the shaking steering wheel. It was a warped front rotor and after not feeling like they did their due diligence I started looking more into the vehicle. They claimed all the fluids were changed and anything that needed attention is fixed or replaced. I open up my air box just to find the air filter had leaves in it and the filter was extremely dirty. I was then told they couldn't check transmission fluid as it's a closed system but I feel like the humming and whining is coming from their or the alternator but again have not heard back from management after leaving 3 call back messages and one email. I also told them I was pre approved through a certain bank but come to find out they ran my credit again through their dealership which dropped my credit score a little bit. I don't know why they would have when I already was approved but I guess they have their reasons. They take it used cars and resell them without evening doing the maintenance they require. Both my wipers were in horrible shape but only one was falling apart so that's the one they ended up replacing. I'm still worried I spend $26k for a vehicle with transmission issues or a alternator that's going out. The belt looks like the original one and has a brown rust like color so yes I'm a bit upset for the amount of money I spent. I understand it's not new but for a $26k vehicle things should be addressed. I'm leaving this review because of multiple failed attempts to have management call me back. I trusted that they would keep their word and do what they claimed they do to used vehicles so if you buy a used vehicle from these people I highly recommend taking it to another dealer or mechanic to have it looked over. My sales man did his job but failed me on making sure these issues were addressed the right way. Be careful and hopefully you don't go through what I did.
