Im giving this review on my experience and oil changes only. I found this place on Groupon and have been coming here ever since for 2 reasons. Fast and reasonable. They get me in and out within 20 minutes. They charge me a reasonable price for oil. I've bought oil filters, air filters from them. Technicians have changed a lot since i started coming but they've never been rude or given me a reason to not come back no matter who it was who was changing my oil. read more

Stay Away from this Place... Don't go to this place...I got transmission drain and fill. 6 months later had CV Axle work done and fluid was never changed. You can judge for your self. Manager on duty said because since people that worked on it do not work there...he could not do anything about it. I asked 3 other mechanics and all said fluid was never changed. You can judge for your self. Customer service is bad and all they try to do is get you to get another service...which they are likely not doing. I definitely will not be returning here as I felt like I was bamboozled in every sense of the word. Homer said I needed to get an engine flush and I told him that I had already purchased a Groupon. I mentioned that I was here for an oil change and he told me that if I decided to get the flush all I had to do was pay the difference from the Groupon. He should've explicitly explained that an engine flush is not inclusive with an oil change. If I would've known this I wouldn't have elected to get an engine flush. As a result I was paying more money out of my pocket for someone's inability to adequately AND THOROUGHLY explain the services and fees associated with it. Never. Again. Very unsatisfied. read more

WOW!!! This place is amazing!!! I have a 2014 Chevy Cruz with 162k miles. For the first two years I used the dealer ship service since it was free and then went elsewhere. Never in the past have I received such a thorough and educational service. In all those year I have not had some of the service need for my car. The tech looked up my car history and told me there were service not done. Once he changed those oil they were black and told me that it's suppose to be red. Keep in mind I'm clueless when it comes to cars. My car drives very smooth now before it was jerky. Tech was Lenard; he was great along with his team!! read more

I probably won't come back. Here is the deal, I used to come in here all the time, then this place got sold to new owners. Never had a problem under old ownership, noticed a change with the new owners. The guys don't know what services your car has had, so they just try to sell you everything. "I recommend transmission fluid exchange, and coolant change" they said that and both fluids are clean and new, changed a few months ago. Oh, well then we recommend a fuel system injector cleaner. Again, no thanks. So the guys do the oil change, and bring a dripping oil dipstick into the waiting room "ok your oil change is all set 4.5 quarts of oil". I thought ok great and went on my way. Got the car home, and decided to check the oil when it was cold and level. Sure enough overfilled by 1 quart. So either the filter was not changed, or they just overfilled it. I'll jack the car up tomorrow and mess with it myself. read more

GOT SCAMMED. So I used to come to this place just for an oil change because it was so convenient. I hadn't been here in a long time and since Gunn Honda wait time was 3 hours, decided to come back to this place and save some time. The guy was very friendly- but it's all an act. They print out some papers and say that your car's computer requires all this work done and it says "severe." I knew it needed a filter change since I looked up the service codes on my dashboard... so I thought I approved him to do the oil change and filters, and then after everything is done. I get this bill for almost $400!! I got charged for coolant and some other stuff... I remember talking to the guy about the AC filter, but not coolant. To top it off, the guy at said he ran out of transmission fluid so come back and it will be $69... so If I went back I would have ended up paying over $450 to this scam artist. After I left and turned down Babcock my car started jerking and a whole bunch more lights on the dash went on including the engine light! I had my foot on the gas the car was driving so slow. I turned around and went back. They guy said he forgot to take off a code. I had to get out of my car and he did something and said he needed to take off a code. I didn't want to fight with the guy because I'm non confrontational, so it's my fault for not being clearer about what I approve and what I do not want done and the prices. I left again and this time the car seemed to drive fine, but I drove it right over to Gunn Honda to get it checked again, so the time I was trying to save ended up being wasted anyway and the guys at Gunn had quoted $350 for what needed to be done to my car and coolant was in fact not needed nor fuel injection at the mileage my car was at. I have hardly been driving since Coronavirus. I got ripped off, so please beware if you go here... the guy can be a fast talker and trick you and in the end you will regret ever going there. I come to find out it changed ownership. Previous guys who were here were so honest and helpful. I wish I had known, and I wish I would've just stayed at Gunn. I have been going here for years for oils changes and state inspections. Today they lost a customer. This place was recently closed down and a new owner bought it. They did some painting and stuff but the integrity of the new staff and management is very questionable! My wife took her van to get an oil change last week and they convinced her that she needed to replace the air filter. The issue I have with that is that the air filter had just been replaced at the VW dealership 3 months ago. Today, I was going to get a state inspection for my Jeep and they don't even have the state inspection sign which they should have by law. After giving the man my insurance card, he began by asking me how often I change the windshield wiper blades. My jeep is brand new (not even two years old) and I have changed the windshield wiper blades twice since I've had it. The most recent change of blades was in February, right after winter when the blades usually get brittle and crack. He was just trying to get something extra from me like he did with my wife! Well, this place just lost us as customers and I don't see how they can survive much longer with shady business practices like these! Shame on them! read more

I came here bc my mechanic was very busy and I needed an oil change. My oil change is usually 40$ they charged me 80$ and right after leaving I kept getting a notification that says "oil change required" I ignored it thinking they forgot to reset something and never checked the oil. Two weeks later my entire truck is messing up check engine light and all. I have yet to check the oil bc I assumed they did put oil in there! Now I'm in a big mess. Never coming back here and I do not recommend. read more

My husband went there to get an oil change and inspection done. While he was waiting he had his windows rolled down. Two employees started verbally arguing with each other. My9 year old daughter was in the back seat. She messaged me saying "mommy I'm scared. There are two people arguing and they are saying the "f" word." My husband told me he would never go back there. Let's start off with how this place is not honest. What we experienced were circles of lies. #1 we got a full synthetic oil change. As soon as the guy checks our oil he says we need a flush. A flush that was going to be $125 to do it "the right way" and he could do a small one for $14. And then he said because we got a Groupon he couldn't give us any discounts. Okay. Then he checked our transmission and said it was serious and that is was the wrong color. He said that would be 80.99 but that he could give it us for 69.99. Okay so isn't that a discount? He only checked our transmission fluid... we didn't get anything else the Groupons said like fluid top offs, air in our tires, a vacuuming? None of that. It was also sketchy because the oil that they placed in our car had no label or didn't come from a new bottle. It was this large dirty container with liquid inside. They just poured in oil without measuring anything. When we came home, we checked the oil level after the car had cooled and that oil level was way over the full line. Can we just have good workers, be honest, and do it right the first time? They kept mentioning that we should never buy Groupons because they can give us a much better price there. Then why have the groupon if it's not going to save you anything? read more

The service requested wasn't even performed (I'm well aware of what goes into it), and they tried to con me out of money for unnecessary repairs using an official-looking "vehicle status report" - but I am well aware that the listed services were not overdue as claimed or "under severe service" to be done at the time. I won't EVER go back. They no longer check tire pressure or other fluid levels. Had it not been during the time of COVID-19, I would have gone to the dealer to verify the recommendation for a $100+ radiator flush. I was so suspicious but I was told my engine would fail if I didn't proceed. The past owners were so kind and not fast talking. It's a ploy against women and women of age. Shame on them. read more

Summary: do not recommend because your car may require major repair after it is serviced here. My car was taken to this business for an oil change on Thursday, 9/24/2020. A few days after the oil change, the vehicle began to leak oil, which was odd because it was only 4 years old, only had 42,000 miles, and did not leak oil before I took it to get the oil changed. On 10/6/2020, I took my car back so the staff could diagnose the issue, and they changed out the rubber washer for the oil drain plug. I was told that the washer was worn out and that this was the cause of the oil leak. After leaving the shop, the car continued to drip oil. I took the car back to the shop, and the staff told me that the leak actually was from the oil drain plug being stripped, that I needed to buy a new oil drain plug, and that installing this new plug would really solve the problem. I began to suspect that I was not receiving the complete story regarding the true issues behind the oil leak, so I consulted multiple car mechanics, and they informed me that a leak from the oil drain plug is generally due to stripping of the threads on the plug and the oil pan, which is generally caused by over-tightening the plug. A certified auto mechanic examined and troubleshot the issue and determined that it was caused by stripping of the oil pan threads and the oil drain plug from over-tightening or misplacement of the drain plug during the oil change. I was also told that repairs would be needed to avoid catastrophic failure of the oil pan and/or plug. So, the Oil Change Express staff caused the issues with the leak and either chose not to correctly diagnose the real problem or were not capable enough to do so. I contacted Mr. Eric Galindo to resolve the issue but he refused to acknowledge his staff's fault or take any responsibility for the problems resulting from the negligence that occurred during the oil change. He refused to pay for any repairs because I did not accept his staff's faulty recommendations, even after I tried working with the staff on multiple occasions to correctly resolve the issue. read more

This place is incompetently run. Techs are not professional. They mouth off to each other like they are in a bar getting lit. I should have pulled my car out in reverse and left when I saw that ... But no, I stayed, and let them work. It was disjointed communication from different techs. I wasn't sure who was in charge of my vehicle. This was another red flag that I brushed off. At completion, they dutifully showed me the oil levels on my dipstick. It looked low. I called it out and they said the reading was correct, "you just have to look at it the right way". Not believing their BS, I drove to the dealer to have it checked (with in the hour) and it was two quarts low!!!! These people are a risk to your vehicle. Not recommended. At all. read more

Came here for my state inspection. What should've been $7 ended up being $90. First my seat belt wasn't in code per a "pull test" then my power steering fluid was empty. Of course I believed what they said though I've driven a car without power steering and know how difficult it is to drive. I took them at their word. When I mention that I found it hard to believe that there was a problem with my power steering the "senior state inspector's" final conclusion was that if I didn't get it fixed right then I would fail my inspection. He made quite a show of it too calling the manager over to ogle the tiny "empty" cup under my hood. So I let them change the fluid. Little did I know my car is special (2015 Dodge Durango), the pump for the power steering is not belt run but is completely electric and unless you know what you're doing and have all the tools to complete the job if you pump out the fluid (there wasn't supposed to be any according to them, there was) and replace with new fluid all you've managed to do is add a ton of air into the system and there is no way to get it out. This is exactly what they did. I found this all out after I took my car elsewhere because I was concerned about a leak in the steering fluid system, something this place couldn't magically fix for another $90. Now I have a fairly good chance that my steering fluid pump is going to burn out and will have to replace it for roughly $1000 thanks to the gentlemen here just trying to up sell because I'm a female and am not car savvy. If I had known that I needed to bring a guy with me just to get my inspection done and not get lied to I would've just gone somewhere else. TL/DR about to be out $1000 because they couldn't bare to do just a state inspection. This place should be shut down. read more
