Fast forward to 8:30 and our waitstaff was running around and still hadn't secured our orders, apologizing for the wait, offering 1 free cocktail out of the round of 3. He was extremely apologetic and thankful for our understanding. While it's still a 3 star review, the location is great-- outdoor seating is large and there's an outdoor bar if you just want drinks while playing one of the sand volleyball courts. The indoor atmosphere is a cozy, cabin vibe. There are gaming machines and a pool table tucked in the corner behind the fireplace. There's a second level loft/balcony that overlooks the lake. This spot is stellar and I know a lot of places are experiencing short staffing. I hope they can improve their service and gain a 4-5 star review soon.

The menu has changed just a tiny bit, I think there are a few more food options in addition to a lot of their delicious original menu. Pad see ew is one of my favorite dishes, and I'm so glad it's on the menu. I've actually ordered it twice in a row now it's that good. And I don't leave leftovers despite it being plenty for two. Both times I went they did not have an actual bartender, so I was unable to order any cocktails off their menu. They can pour wine/beer, though. But I'd really like to try some of the new things I see on their drink menu. The frustrating part is that I never know when they're open. I try to call ahead and assume if I don't get an answer they're closed for an event. I've no idea what their hours are or which days they're usually serving to the public. I hope they make that more clear to the community, because I think a ton more people would come if they knew about it! But, if you're reading this, you know about it, so give them a call to see if they're open and if they are... go there at once!

The grits on their own really didn't have much flavor, but they did have a pooling of oil or butter, not sure which one they use. It definitely benefitted from the shrimp, which were also in a pool of butter. The bacon pieces were nice and crisp and gobbled up without making it to the grits. It was ready in the amount of time they said it would be and it was packaged up nicely. The problem came when I opened up my Burrito Azado (burrito with steak). It was a soggy mess! Not only did it look nothing like the food in the menu (I get it, when does it, right?) Their cheese sauce or whatever it is that comes on it, was poured over the entire meal and the guacamole was inside the burrito. I can get over the guacamole being inside of it even though it was ALSO warm AND dripping out the side and bottom. There is, however, NO going back from the sauce that is poured all over everything with NO regard for the crispy tortilla. The tortilla was completely soaked through and falling apart, let alone any possible desired crispiness. It was inedible. If you're in the mood for a burrito, I'm not saying not to buy it from here. Flavor-wise, the steak is decent. However, I am saying to ensure that they do not put SAUCY SAUCE on it and get the GUAC on the side!
