They have great service and I love their radio stations! Their Dj's are the bomb and they have a lot of prize/ticket giveaways!

I have been in the studio for on-air promotions twice and that can make one a bit nervous considering that it is live radio. The team makes you feel very relaxed, welcome, and they are just so funny that the conversation feels natural when you're being interviewed. It's no wonder the island vibe translates so well to the listener. Mahalo to this crew, from those on-air to to everyone working hard behind-the-scenes for the kokua and welcoming spirit!

If you don't know anything about "socialism", and the benefits it would see here especially on island, please do your research! Locals and Kanaka of Hawaii would be so thankful for universal healthcare, preschools for all children, affordable homes, rent freezes, all of which Zorhan Mamdani has fought for. He is fighting for the working class, taxing the rich and helping the people. All of which is needed here for the people. With these two bozo's you are doing yourself disservice to your listeners of this station. Shout out to the woman DJ who just chose to stay quiet about politics, she's the smartest one there.

Perry, and Sweetie Pacarro interview Jim Brickman for their morning radio show! They were promoting the Jim Brickman concert on January 25, 2020 at The Blaisdell Center - in celebration of Jim's 25th Anniversary! We were excited to go to the Hawaiian Financial Music Hall on the 4th Floor of the Dole Cannery Office Building. It was a comfy livingroom atmosphere with light refreshments in an intimate setting. Parking: we were told that we would receive validated parking at the Dole Cannery structure. I didn't read the fine print that stated that only the first hour is free. Afterwards, it's $3 per half hour. We only caught on when an audience member returned with his parking receipt for $9. Wow - he said that he had never paid for parking before this. After some discussion with management, we all got our parking ticket problem resolved. Too bad that the parking policy had changed recently without informing returning audience members. Bottom line: park elsewhere Other than that, we had an enjoyable time meeting Jim Brickman and asking him direct questions. He's a talented singer/songwriter with a witty sense of humor! He sang a few songs for us, including "The Gift" and "My Valentine". Note: he can play the piano blindfolded! Anyway, thanks to KSSK and Jim Brickman for the autographed poster, photo session, and the happy memory! Thank you to Jules Y. for inviting us to go with you!

So many commercials, sad use to be a reliable station, no longer. LALA storm coverage? Not till 11am after the storm passed. The only good thing is Mandy great addition, time for Perry to retire getting tired of listening to ad after ad after ad...

Kumu- Apply named to teach many new listeners how to by…read moresound hear an era of music quickly. Yes, it is easier listening, almost all the words are easily distinctly heard. You won't hear Snow's Informer on it ever. You will likely hear a modern ballad like a Sam Smith but also a classic 80's like Soft Cell's Tainted Love classic. That is important for new listeners. Being able to hear and appreciate music from a few eras in a row and enjoy that music. Twitter blows up when Paul McCartney performs alongside a modern rapper. That they feel bad for an older male singer- but if they had listened to music on stations like KUMU they wouldn't make dumb comments immediately but appreciate music for listening sake. KUMU is easy contemporary listening, safe radio edit all the way. Is it for everyone- in general yes, that the music has such a wide variety and calm instrumentation which is heavy on vocals, it is good background music especially for an office. Easy listening/ non confrontational/ contemporary music, heavy on male and female vocals, great harmonies, easy melodies. What is unique about Kumu verses another contemporary station on the mainland is that you may hear great local female singers like Helm, Anuhea, and Na Leo, and the greatest Braddah Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I still feel that Iz could be played in a loop about 3 or 4 songs like his Over the Rainbow at a wedding, funeral, or keiki first birthday for an angry crowd waiting impatiently and after just a few bars of him- the entire mood of the crowd would be calm and relaxed- not just in Hawaii but mainland too, most wouldn't recognize his voice by name but people would connect to the universal-ness of his peaceful voice. KUMU is a good station to go to for keeping the peace on longer car rides if there is a mixed group- always some song playing that more than one person will remember and really connect with emotionally. Every now and then - they have a pop up tent playing music live or semi live, for example I've seen then play at the Art Museum and broadcast during a family event. Sometimes it is neat to see them live.

So i called and the guy that answered 808-948-9464 oct 28 at 1 said that i missed my pick up date and it was the 26th and that i needed to reschedule 2 weeks out. So we ended the call and i KNEW that wasnt true. So i checked my email and it said the 28th. So i called the same number back in less then 30 seconds and the guy answers and hangs up. I called 33 times and each time i can hear background noise then a hang up. Then the last few times it would just ring and ring. So i decided to call a different number 8089471500 and the same guy answered. So i acknowledged that he hung up on me 33 times and that i double checked my email and the time and date i arrived was correct. And now he says sarcastically "yes your right. Im sorry, were just so busy and short on workers" i told him i took time off of work and that i had an appnt so you guys should honor that. He says sarcastically again "yes yes youre right, youre right. Im sorry but the nothing i can do" theres 100000 people laid off from work and not working and your telling me you guys are short on staff? Something is not right and someone is lying here. Overall i feel this prize is a scam because story is fishy.

Kpop fans, rejoice! We have our first 24 hour kpop FM radio station in the United States!…read more I love listening to KORL 107.5 on my morning work commutes. They have a weekday morning show hosted from 7 AM to 10 AM by G3 and Hyunni-k that I really enjoy. They talk about the latest Korean news, list the daily kpop idol birthdays, host giveaways, and best of all, they teach a Korean word every day! There is also Sofia's weekday afternoon show from 2 PM to 3 PM (till 4 PM on Fridays) and Remy's weekday request block from 4 PM to 6 PM. Both are also great talk shows for the station! My favorite part of KORL 107.5 is that they host events with local Korean establishments such as Nature Republic, Tonymoly, Pink Box, and more. I've been to nearly every one so far and I've left with many freebies! It's always a blast to meet the down to earth DJs of this radio station. I love listening to KORL 107.5 and I hope you will tune in too! It's a nice change from the typical hip hop, mainstream American hits, and Hawaiian/Reggae stations that we are flooded with in Hawaii.

It seems the radio are filled with adult contemporary, hip hop or Hawaiian/Jawaiian stations. So it is nice to have a station like this to break up the predictability. I don't know many Korean music artists outside of the popular ones (Bigbang, BoA, Girls Generation, Psy, Rain, etc.) and couldn't tell you the artist unless I heard it before and knew, but the playlist of songs seem to have no trouble jumping from poppier sounding fare to ballads that would fit as part of the soundtrack of a Korean drama. In addition to being on the FM dial, the station can be listened to online via their website. It is nice to hear different music on the radio from what I am used to and good to see that there is a decent station at the end of the dial neighboring the Golden Oldies channel.
