St patty's day x Reebok x Guinness
Gabe P.

This Irish pub was the perfect spot for St Patty's Day! They had a limited menu which consisted of standard Irish dishes. There were also green drink specials. I always get corned beef and cabbage because it's a tradition for me. The portion size was plenty but the food just wasn't hot enough. That's my only knock on the meal overall. The staff were all so friendly and definitely did a nice job with managing the crowd - it was SO crowded! The parking was a nightmare but eventually found a park once someone was leaving. I really enjoyed my first visit here and will definitely be back to experience Oh Sherri Pub on a regular day.

I found this location on Yelp as I was looking for an Irish restaurant to go to on St. Patrick's Day. I didn't want just a pub but one that also serves actual meals. I knew they'd be busy, but I wildly underestimated HOW busy they'd be. In fact, I hadn't even checked into it enough to know they were having live music, an outdoor dining space, etc. I arrive right at 5pm and it was already slammed. Apparently they'd had the festivities going on all day, from what I heard. There was a $5 cover charge to get in. There was also a limited menu but had enough options for us to choose from. I am not sure if they increased their prices for this event, but I paid $19.99 for corned beef and cabbage on a paper plate. I'm not complaining, just stating that I assume this is not what they normally serve food on and perhaps the prices are usually different. Either way, we all ate our meals and enjoyed the live music and lively feel of the event. I met the owner briefly and he seemed like a wonderful person who cares a lot about his establishment. I wish I would've gotten a photo of him in his festive attire. All of the staff were wonderful!

Needed something different for lunch today & decided to finally give this spot a try true definition of a pub family owned and operated I made a call in order & picked up at the bar looks like a cool spot for the locals and looks like they have live bands to come & play I tried the lunch special sliders & fries sliders came with beer cheese caramelized onions and lettuce and tomatoes they give you two sliders which were very filling and the fries were homemade I enjoyed it but it was very messy so make sure you have plenty of napkins the service was fast & they were very friendly and welcoming next time I'll plan to sit in have a beer or two & look forward to trying their oysters

I absolutely loved my experience here. This Irish pub actually serves Irish Beers!! Yes they also make a proper Irish car bomb, they have a huge variety of traditional dishes. And traditional appetizers as well as some new fairs. I will return tomorrow. Own is very friendly, he will share with his information on different foods, and beers. There are playing on each of the tables. 8 out of 10

If you are looking for a local place with a great vibe, you can't beat Oh Sherri's. The Pub burger is really good and the beer cheese sets it off. I have always had great service here and the vibe is very friendly. If you want to find a local place to hang out with good food and drinks, this is your spot.

I had heard about this place and Moddy is not far from the Barber's Motorsports Museum where I was at the time so thought I would give it a try. Outward appearances were not fantastic. It is at the end of a strip mall anchored by a pool supply store. When we went it that all changed. You immediately thought you were in a back street pub in Ireland. There was a nicely appointed horseshoe shaped bar with table and booth seating on both sides. We sat down and were immediately greeted by the bartender/waiter. I ordered a Harp which is my favorite Irish Lager. We followed that up with a Reuben on Sourdough and a Guinness beer battered fish sandwich with fries. Everything arrived fast and was delicious with ample portions. While we were eating Irish music was playing in the background and there was a lot of things on the walls to look at and make the place feel authentic. It is the kind of place you can walk into for the first time and immediately feel at home. We well be back soon.

Corned beef and bangers and mash. Both came with fresh side salad and ranch

Locals Irish pub. We got corned beef plate and bangers and mash. Both were very good. Good flavor. The server was very overwhelmed because it was so busy but she was still sweet. They need to hire more servers for busy nights. Everyone was having a nice time. There was live music on Friday. He took requests and was very nice.

Been looking for a really good, "unique" burger for months. Passed thru Alabama and checked out Oh Sherri. Great, great pub with an amazing selection of beer. Their burger? My search is over. Incredible. I'll stop in here every time im in the area. Every single time..

There aren't enough stars available to express our gratitude to Joel and his family for working with us to host the PERFECT Wedding Rehearsal dinner. Joel's efforts and suggestions once given our wishes were spot on... The perfect food selection and service paired with live music and Irish dance made our outing THE memorable event of the weekend. The Wallace's made us all feel like we'd been invited into their home for a hoolie! Cannot recommend highly enough. Plan your Irish party there. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. We'll be back immediately upon our next arrival in the area!

Irish ambience and portrait of the owner's sister, for whom the establishment was named

As a soccer fan, I was on the road during a club World Cup qualifier and stopped in to watch the game and have a pint. The staff were so sweet, and the owner and his wife were amazing and warm. They went out of their way to help me get the game I wanted to watch on a tv and were obviously friendly with local regulars. If I lived here this would be my regular haunt. (Also they played Flogging Molly! Bonus points!)

Joel has a great little Irish Pub there in Moody. Warm and inviting place to have a Guinness or shot of Scotch or Irish Whiskey.

Seems that, being a pub in a college town it could get "meh" for my tastes at night. I will make one comment that could be misconstrued for an old man comment - it seems to be run by the college staff. It isn't bad, but just not as clean, or professionally managed, and doesn't have that "something" that your get from a place where the staff is driven by pride. But again, that is not a unique problem in Carrollton dining. Food is good. Some of it is just not my favorite but anything with the Guinness BBQ sauce is a must try. Corned beef and cabbage is good pub fare as is the shepherds pie. Sweet potato fries are my favorite side, but wish they had a savory sauce to dip instead of just honey. We have friends from Chicago that come into town and ask to go here. They always comment on the solid food and lovely old building.

Mixed feelings. Got there at 7pm on a Tuesday to try a new place…read more The Good: corner downtown location. Trivia offered. Friendly staff. Good sweet tea. (Husband liked the Dr. Robot draft beer) The bad: bathroom door to women's restroom propped open with 4 beer buckets catching leaks? One of the 2 inside bathroom doors wouldn't lock. Spinach dips and cheese dips weren't hot but chips were ok. Cheese sticks and poppers just average. Chicken tenders wouldn't even finish one to eat (hard, colder and not a good taste). Might go back for trivia and give something else a try but not impressed with the food.

The pub itself looks like one you'd find in some forgotten little village in rural Ireland -- a place that time left behind from the 60s or 70s. It reeked of cigarette smoke (which is still allowed in bars in Alabama apparently). The bartender/owner was very nice and seemed genuinely happy to have customers on a slow Sunday afternoon. He was helpful in recommending some beers (they have a good selection on draft -- most from regional breweries). We ordered the Irish spice bags of course and enjoyed our beers while we waited. The fried chicken pieces and French fries came in the bag, well seasoned. On the side were the fried green peppers and fried onions and the golden curry. We added the peppers, onions and curry to the bags, shook them up and tore them open to dig into this hearty Irish treat. The chicken pieces were tender and nicely breaded (the breading did not fall off). They were quite tasty on their own. The fries were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The peppers and onions were fried to light brown and had just the right amount of softness. The golden curry was only mildly spicy with a great curry flavor. All mixed together, it was everything we hoped it would be. Well worth the trip to a smoky dive bar in a strip mall (we didn't even notice the smoky smell once the food came). If you've never had a spice bag, this place does them well. Food and service 5. Atmosphere 3. That accounts for the 4 rating.

My…read moreson who is visiting from college wanted some pub food so we decided to check it out for his birthday, and long story short it was horrid! Heads up, this is a first-come, first-served establishment. When I called ahead, I was told to come around 5 PM and that they'd have plenty of seating inside for six. We showed up at 5 PM and were immediately told it would be a 45-minute wait unless we wanted to sit outside. There were several open tables inside, just none that could fit six people. It wasn't unbearably hot, so we opted to eat outside. Our waiter was friendly but inconsistent, and seemed to disappear for stretches at a time. He kept bringing us cups of ice rather than just adding ice to the water pitcher, and it took 5-10 minutes (and us asking) before we got silverware to eat our appetizers. The apps themselves were decent: the frog legs were great, though they'd have been crispier without so much gravy; the fried green tomatoes were fine but needed salt; and the beef tartare with goat cheese was pretty good. Our entrées, ordered at the same time as the appetizers, took about an hour and twenty minutes to arrive and the food itself was disgusting. The presentation looked promising, but everything fell flat. The ribs were dry and flavorless, and the nut hummus side was comparable to dog food and inedible!! The veal was overly salty and undercooked; once you trimmed the un-rendered fat, you were left with maybe 4 oz of actual meat. My wife's bangers and mash had gravy that tasted like watered-down nothing, and the sausage, which seemed to be made in-house, was gritty and crumbled the moment you cut into it, with no seasoning at all. Definitely not worth the $300 bill. On the bright side, we were seated outside and got to enjoy a cover band playing some genuinely great music.
