I have no objection to these kinds of shops, and I am pleased to see that they are generally more accepted these days than they used to be. The fact that the sex shops of old, which were predominantly targeted at men, have morphed into emporiums that offer lots of products to enhance female as well as male satisfaction can only be a good thing. Instead of dirty vids, with their ludicrous and often deeply offensive content, as well as a plethora of other products that provide passive forms of 'pleasure', both vicariously and auto erotically, this new breed of shop caters more for a participatory expression of sexual activity, which one would hope would lead to a better understanding of the sexual drives and desires of both sexes, as well as a more democratic delivery of satisfaction all round. This is borne out by Passion's commitment to the idea "that couples who play together, stay together". Nevertheless, I do wonder about what inspires these shops to call themselves things like Passion! The fitting service was thorough and discreet, and staff were friendly and able to suggest styles and brands that I hadn't considered. There was plenty of opportunity to take my time in trying items on (so of course I ended up buying slighty more than I had intended, but I am still very pleased with it). The quality of the goods are excellent and the bras I bought are lasting well with handwashing and daily use. I would definitely go there again in passing, or make a special trip if I was looking for something for an occasion.

You can find a number of corsets by designers that she has handpicked herself. Most of the pieces are hand made and cater to the luxury market, but this shouldn't put you off, because like a bra, a corset is an investment, and the quality and sturdiness of each one is assured. My favourite is a cream corset, all satin and lace and steel boning. Might have to get myself a credit card though - it's £299!

It is a fairly small shop, a beacon to vintage lovers on Park Street. They sell records, leather wallets, jackets, 80s dresses, cut off levis.. anything vintage that pops in your head, they do have it here. You do have to dig abit to find things though, which just adds to the fun. This is somewhere I always pop by to have a browse, always expecting to find something awesome, but never really do. Maybe that is because the prices are quite steep; rising with the rise of the love of vintage fashion these days.

A classic American vintage sign, a window full of Levis and checked flannel shirts, but it's best not to judge a book by its cover. (Or a vintage clothes store by its window!) I love a bit of a rummage through piles of retro clothing, but the interesting finds here are so few are far between that it doesn't make your wait worth-while. On the whole, I find that men do better here than women with some fantastic leather jackets and belts to be had. Just be prepared to pay a hefty price for some of the better pieces. It's worth a look for die-hard vintage clothes fans, but personally I prefer to save my pennies and go rooting around Bristol's fabulous charity shops. Cheaper, with added feel good factor!
