The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and efficient. It was immediately clear that the staff are organized and truly care about each pet in their care. What really stood out was Simba's reaction--he happily ran straight over to a staff member, eager for attention and affection. Seeing him so comfortable and excited made all the difference. It was obvious that he felt relaxed and safe, as if he knew he was in good hands. Watching him settle in so naturally gave me complete confidence in leaving him there. While we were away, I reached out to Mindy to check in. She shared that Simba was doing great--eating well and enjoying playtime--and even sent a few photos. Mindy and her staff were so great about sending us photos of them 3 times while we were on the trip and putting us at ease that they were doing great. I can't say enough about this Pet Hotel. The photos show how much fun they were having and they came home calm, healthy and happy. The best part was when we were picking them up in the outside greeting area, our Gunner went back to their door and sat there because he wanted to go back in! We started searching around for different boarding locations when my coworker recommended Northgate to us. Her sister said she had great experiences boarding her dog there in the past. We called to get a quote and decided to go with Northgate for his boarding. The prices are incredibly affordable and they do depend on dog weight. Also, they are pretty flexible with pick-up and drop-off times. Dropping our pug off for the first time ever was quite difficult, more for myself than for my pug. I did not realize how bad my separation anxiety would be. I started tearing up while dropping him off, but the staff at Northgate were incredibly friendly and eased any concerns I had and let me know I could contact them any time to check on him. Kristin, in particular, was extremely helpful and friendly. She sent us photos of our pug when we called to check in on him. Upon picking our pug up from Northgate, he is always freshly bathed and happy so we do highly recommend using Northgate for your boarding needs!

I appreciate how vaccines are important to BPR, and they're excellent in keeping on top of what vaccine is needed, BEFORE your next stay. Chelsea walked us through our options, and we decided that a five-week board-and-train program, along with a diet change, was the best course of action. The transformation Leia underwent in those five weeks with Chelsea and Sammy is nothing short of incredible. The dog we brought home is now food-motivated, comfortable around people, and able to join us in public without the fear of another scary incident. I am deeply grateful to Chelsea and Sammy for their guidance and expertise. I've learned so much from them, and the quality of life we have today is something we once thought impossible with Leia. I'm so proud of her progress. We now enjoy hikes, camping trips, and even dinners out downtown -- all activities we never thought we'd be able to do together.
