Unfortunately, I must leave a low rating because wheelchair accessibility was very poor…read more The guide was exceptional and so apologetic. But, this was a teaching moment for her as this was her first time locking in and securing a wheelchair properly on the shuttle. For some of the trips between wineries, I had to hang-on to my seatbelt that was attached to the floor in order to avoid tipping over in my chair. The first trip, I had to have my partner ( who has a very bad back) bend over and hang on-to the rigid frame chair to prevent me from falling forward or backwards. The bus ride was very, very, hot due to the air conditioning vent being at the back of the bus avoiding the designated wheelchair spot altogether. Overheating with a spinal cord injury can require emergency medical assistance because people cannot regulate their temperature. All of these issues should must be rectified as soon as possible especially as you are advertising as a wheelchair accessible shuttle service. Drivers should, at the very least, have practical experience, and extensive training for assisting people with disabilities in a wheelchair...and for this reason only, my review is a 2 out of 5 stars. This is unfortunate because everything else about the tour was exceptional, and all of the wineries had accessible ramps and washrooms. The Okanagan Wine region definitely does not disappoint! I just wish I could have relaxed on the excursion and felt comfortable and safe. Regretfully, Derek Moxam

Knowledgable, funny and the woman knows her wine! Went to 4 different winery's plus lunch. A total of almost 6 hours start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone who, like us, loves wine tasting and doesn't want the hassle of driving.

He answered all my questions and definitely appreciated our business. No Vax pass required now that the mandate has dropped. AJ our tour guide called me the day of to touch base and remind me of where and when we would be picked up at our hotel. An was right on time. We were a group of 4 with my 80yr old father joining us. Not only did AJ open and close the van doors, he made sure that my father got in and out of the van safely and securely. I really appreciated the extra care. We visited 4 wineries - The Hatch was by far our favourite. AJ carried our bought wine, carried them back to the van and even was our photographer! At the end of the tour AJ dropped us at a restaurant that was on our way back to the hotel and then offered to deliver our wine back to our hotel. Definitely above and beyond! Thank you AJ and wicked wine tours. You will definitely be our next choice the next time we are in town. Highly recommend!

WHAT AN AWESOME TIME!…read more Our friend booked this (party for six) and the bus picked us up from our resort (Playa Del Sol) at 10:45am. We proceeded to pick up another group of nine girls for a stagette party from another resort. Caleb was our driver and not only was he SUPER friendly, he was EXTREMELY informative and made great recommendations (Hello? We brought home six bottles of ice wine!) on wine (especially what was available in local liquor stores or not). We stopped at three wineries: Rollingdale, Indigenious, and Quail's Gate. We then dropped the stag party off at the boat while we went to Kalala Winery to try their 2016 Award Winning Icewine (luckily they had some in stock for us to take home!). We then drove down to the docks and switched places with the stag party and hopped on the boat with 'Nice-To-Look-At-Nick' for a stroll down the lake for a nice dip. It was really refreshing after a long day of wine tasting. Life vests were provided for us non-strong (read here: drunk) swimmers that wanted to jump in but didn't trust our alcoholic instincts. The water was fantastic! Nick was a great host as well. We arrived back at our hotel around 5:45pm so a full day! This was a great trip. I enjoyed, not only the wine tasting, but everything I learned from Caleb, a superb guide and our boat ride and swim with easy-going Nick. Very hospitable and such a great time! Highly recommended!

I'm sure it has parking, but we just parked in a lot next to some apartments and walked through the grass. Summerland is a laid back town and we didn't see any parking tickets or speed traps while there. The museum was a wonderful find for us because the administrator, Sherril Foster, was incredibly helpful and patient! I went in with some family members looking for history of our family and how they came to Summerland. Ms. Foster was kind enough to take out all the old binders, photos, and records she had of our two sets of ancestors that traveled from Japan to Summerland. We spent almost two hours with Ms. Foster and in the end we walked out with a huge amount of information and clarity on our roots we didn't imagine we'd find in a small sleepy town museum. Ms. Foster also allowed us to make copies of her records about our family. She normally would make the copies, but she did more research while she allowed me to use her copier in her office. She also plans to scan and email several photos that include my ancestors from the 1920's in Summerland. There is a computer with internet access that we were able to use to do more research on. There were also several books for sale, one of which we purchased because it mentioned our family in it. As we did some research, my husband wandered the museum and took a look at the displays. There were several interesting displays and we were impressed with the level of displays for a museum in a small town that exists on donations. Make sure to donate as you come in, as there is no entrance fee! And say hi to Ms. Sherril Foster, she's one helpful lady!
