As a native Pole I can confidently say that this is an authentic polish place serving a delicious traditional polish food. As the food is really high standards I very often eat there instead of making it...as it takes a generous amount of time to prepare it. You can indulge yourself in a fantastic selection of polish dishes including: dumplings, back pudding on the potato cake, herrings, livers, braised cabbage and meats etc.. Also various selection of vodkas and beer they offer is a nice compliment to this traditional and rich food. I visited there recently we a couple of British friends and they loved everything about this place. However be prepared to spend about £35-40 per person for a 3 course meal with alcohol. It's worth it though.

This pleasant restaurant was just a few minutes walk away from my AirBnB. Even on a weekday night, it was absolutely jam packed, & the reason became clear once I had a taste of their food. I had the Pork Schnitzel. It came with a fried egg, anchovies, potatoes & was absolutely wonderful; not to mention very filling. It went great with a glass of their Cocktail of the Week (Summer G&T, I think). However, since they are so busy, there's a noticeable wait before someone comes to note down your order & before the food is served.

On passing the many columned buildings you would not necessarily know that this restaurant was in one. Upon entering you come across a big stair well and reception area which made me feel like I was in a hotel not a place that had a restaurant in it. Through the door to the left you then enter upon a bar area / restaurant. This is where you will see another reception area and be checked in. The waitress that greeted us and checked us in was quite moody and not very welcoming. When we sat down at the white tableclothed tables we was then greeted by a waitor who was very welcoming and nice. I ordered goose leg with a apple and fig compote sauce and my husband ordered lamb. We was waiting for over 30 minutes for our meals to arrive. When they did the plates was stone cold and the food was luke warm. We did not say anything at time as we was in a rush to get to an event we was attending. Also the restaurant was very packed and we ate early at 6pm so we was quite surprised. However even though the food was luke warm it was still very tasty. They also do an array of amazing cocktails and non alcoholic cocktails the most I have ever seen in a restaurant. I had a non alcoholic cocktail pussyfoot my favourite and it was delicious. I would go back to this place again to eat but only if I was in the area I would not go out of my way to go and eat at the establishment again only because I felt some staff was moody and stuck up, meal took too long to come and was just luke warm in end and the plates were cold and I like hot plates.

Food was delicious, service was excellent. We had a set shared menu and they were able to accommodate 20 of us.

Its short walk from the bridge and is situated in a cool, old fashioned bunker-looking type setting thats far away enough from the tourist chaos around the river Sienna walked us in and took great care of us. With a very pleasant and cheerful character, she made our meal quite a delight. Attentiveness, helpful suggestions and communication, and fun conversation really set her apart as a server during our time in the UK I got the Tower Temptation and the pork was cooked perfectly. The cheese and sauce/sausages from the stew really complimented the meat well. Fun fact: Mamuska has served the best slaw ive ever had, and im normally not a fan of cole slaw. You get a complimentary visit to their salad bar - its small and has 4 options but the slaw and carrots were simple yet somehow unmatched Despite being in the heart of London, the food here tasted authentic and this would be a place id recommend to others visiting London that want a break from classic English food! PS: their menu is hella cute (its a newspaper)

Everything about this restaurant is pure excellence!…read more My wife used to do a lot of work with two of the local theaters in Northampton. One of them, Royal & Derngate, is just a five minute walk from Chata, so this was a regular stop for us for a meal out before or after one of her shows, or if we popped down to see one of the many great acts passing through town. I can't imagine a better restaurant in Northampton. First, the service. We were always waited on by the owner, who was always up for a great chat. An immensely friendly, welcoming, and attentive man. Second, the food! The pork shank is unreal, absolutely spectacular, and my wife always enjoyed the pierogies. The sausage appetizer with mustard is also excellent. For drinks, they offer three or four different Polish beers, of which the owner will share his candid opinions and recommend one to suit your tastes. There's also wine, and Guinness, if I recall correctly, but stick with the beer. I highly recommend the Zwiec for a super drinkable lager with better flavor depth than the others. Having been to many restaurants and pubs in Northampton, this is by far my favorite for its incredible service and food. This place is, simply put, homely, and you can't do any better than home.

I believe our waiter was also the owner, and he was incredibly inviting and welcoming. We ordered two platters for four of us, and we all got the beet root soup to start. We wanted to sample a little of everything, so the platters were the way to go. The food was incredible. Beef rolls that melted in your mouth, pork shanks that were worth the wait (about 20 or 25 minutes), onion pierogies, polish sausage, pork loin- every bite was just amazing. I couldn't believe that my family ate every bite- it was an enormous amount of food. Authentic, prepared with love and care. We also had a 10 month old baby with us, and she agreed that the food was delicious, as she couldn't get enough of sampling the menu either. They have an awesome high chair too that looked like it could be found in a ski lodge in the Swiss alps- rustic, sturdy, and very comfortable. The service was so friendly and helpful with offering suggestions, and even other guests in the small restaurant were friendly and willing to start up a conversation.

The restaurant itself is located on a side street in Ealing Broadway. It's a large glass-fronted restaurant with a bakery on the other side of a smart glass partition. A light, bright, airy room with comfy chairs and a smart set-up. Onto the food: my greedy friends and greedy self tried ALOT of food last night. The mixed dumplings were good, all fillings tasty and dumpling skin nicely chewy, these weren't pan-fried though which is my preference. Served with onions, sour cream and smoked bacon. Boar dumplings with creamy mushroom sauce was lovely, super-stuffed with boar meat. Mmmmmm. Steak tartare was small but price reflected this, beetroot carpaccio was beautifully presented and so were the herrings, all of these were lovely, good starters. The beetroot soup was excellent. I had the pork tenderloin for mains, oh gosh, it was so soft and tasty, I was so surprised!! Mash was good, needed more sauce though and the salad didn't match the rest of the plate, veg would have been better. My friend's salmon dish was tasty and beautifully presented, just not typically Polish in my opinion. But, I was here for the potato pancakes with mushroom sauce.....90% as good as the Polish cafe in Gdansk which stole my heart. We had 2 desserts which were lovely, tip: walk over to the bakery and pick your cake from the bakery, not just from the menu. Both were lovely. 2 soft drinks, 2 hot drinks and all this food came to £90. Excellent value, service, atmosphere and I loved the food. Afew tweaks would make this place great-cranberries on pierogi, sprouts and salad garnishes didn't work in most cases and they need to re-word the menu as it just didn't do the food justice. And they need to offer their dumplings pan-fried!! Overall a great option, I am so happy I found this place!!

You can get a small or a large portion, and they come with caramelized onions on top. Aside from pierogies, the lunch menu is on the smaller side (for someone with food restrictions, anyway). That said, my warm tomato soup was delicious and comforting. (I don't believe it's gluten-free, as there are pieces of something resembling spätzle in it.) They were even nice enough to treat my husband's pierogies and my soup as one (affordable!) 2-course lunch. On the other side of the restaurant is the patisserie, with delicious-looking tarts behind the counter and small tables perfect for an espresso-and-pastry break.
