In general, dry cleaners are notorious for playing games with prices and coupons. If you have a coupon, they can charge less so that you don't reach the minimum for the coupon, or they charge more so that the coupon has less of an effect and brings the price closer to what it would be without a coupon. Ogden doesn't disappoint in this regard. I called to get the price to dry clean men's pants. They said $12.35. I brought two pair of pants in and they said $12.35 a piece. I was therefore short $.30 to use the $5 off $25. I asked them to charge $25, and they said fine. So I expected to be charged $20 ($25 less $5) when I picked up the pants. Ogden, however, jacked up the price after I dropped the pants off so I nonetheless paid closer to $25. They claimed that the pants were designer pants and cost more to dry clean even though they saw the pants when they quoted the price. Seriously, why should it cost more if pants are designer pants and why not stand by the price quoted when you actually see the pants? Shockingly, unbeknownst to me, one pair of pants had many moth holes and therefore were unwearable. Instead of asking me before the pants were drycleaned if I wanted unwearable pants drycleaned, they told me about the moth damage afterwards and said some customers want damaged clothing drycleaned. Maybe that's true, but I would imagine that most customers don't want unwearable clothing drycleaned, and the better business practice would be to ask the customer. I certainly won't be going back to Ogden. read more

They are very disorganized, the ladies who answer the phone aren't able to give pricing. We arranged a Wednesday pickup they turned up the day before. Over a week later I had to call them because I hadn't heard from them about my 2 items. When I asked about the price again, they had to get the Manager. When he confirmed the pricing I thought initially I had misheard!! Even with a 20% discount they wanted $64 for a comforter. I've never paid that with anyone else and if I'd known how expensive they were I wouldn't have had them collect my items. They also wanted me to collect even though they offered collection and delivery. The comforter wasn't worth it so I said they could keep the small rug and comforter which they wanted $214 for. I am not sure how this place is still in business. I worked at a dry cleaners for over 5 years and I would have never treated anyone the way I was treated yesterday. From the second I walked in I did not feel welcome. The man at the counter did not want to help me and I felt I was interrupting him. He passed me off to another employee, she did the bare minimum. She got my info and told me my one item would be ready in 4 days. She never said welcome or thanked me for coming in. ( it was my first time there). I luckily I asked for a price before walking out. I about had a heart attack when she told me a simple shawl would cost between $25-28 to clean. Being educated in dry cleaning I know how little work they would do to this item. Got to love the 3 hour cleaning sign on the front of the building but it would have taken 4 days to be done. read more

When you drop an item off, they'll quote one price, but when you come to pick it up, they'll charge a different price.
