I recently moved to Utah and came to see Dr. Amy Curtis at " DAC". I loved her and her team. Was…read morebeyond helpful and knowledgeable regarding my concerns with my skin. Going back soon to see her amazing esthetician Michele for laser hair removal and a hydra-facial. Everyone in SLC needs to come to Centerville to see Dr. Amy Curtis!

I saw a Dr. Amy for Botox. I mentioned that I had headaches and was there for THAT purpose…read more Well.......I will not return to this office, or Dr. Amy, as she does not listen very well. I asked her NOT to place the Botox too low as my right eye droops, that is also were the cluster headache is. After receiving Botox for over 20 yrs for headaches I THINK I DO KNOW WHERE THE PLACEMENT SHOULD GO. Dr. Amy mentioned forehead wrinkles which were NOT an issue that I was concerned about. Three days later I can barely see, my eyes cannot open the eye lid covers half of my eyes!!!!! I called the office and was told there was nothing that can be done about this. I will just have to allow it to wear off. That is VERY disappointing...especiallay since I have had more headaches....guess she MISSED THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF MY VISIT. So I am still lifting my eye lids up by hand to apply eyeshadow. Three more months of this is not fun. I look drunk and DON'T EVEN DRINK P.S. Ladies if you want facial injections, for wrinkles do not go here. Dr. Amy uses the filler Sculptra on herself and not patients. I did some reading up on how to minimize bad Botox (heat will help) and read that Sculptra filler is the best one to use, but they do not use it at their office. Good Luck in finding the care that you require

At intermountain family clinic in Bountiful it's not about the patient!! long story short they…read morecancelled my original appointment because the Dr was Out. I told them I couldn't wait anymore so they got me a 720am. I called before 7am letting them know I was a bit behind. Switch Board operator told me I had 10-15 min of grace time. When I got there though I was told I couldn't be seen. " I watched you walk in. and I looked at the clock and you are one minute passed 10min." the receptionist told me. " I'll call back and ask if they will see you still." And then..." sorry you are too late to be seen today." Are you kidding me!!?!? no one in the whole clinic, it's 7:20 am and you won't see me for being a min late. Intermountain health doesn't care about their patients. And a "Sorry" with a nasty smirk on your face is the nail for me. Don't waste your time.

I've used the Bountiful Instacare over a couple of decades for those medical situations that either…read moredon't require a specialist or those that would require an actual surgery or life saving treatment. Things like a puncture wound, an infection, a respiratory condition, material in the eye; or even a Covid test. For those things the cost for treatment is much less than the emergency room and they aren't putting your life in jeopardy by taking a bit time time to deal with. You can typically expect a wait in the lobby after checking in with the friendly staff. After your expected wait, you'll be called into the patient treatment area by a nurse. Most of those I've met are quite friendly and caring. They'll take some vitals, ask you a few questions about your medical history and in my case, yesterda, was quite empathetic about my condition. Once they leave your patient room, the wait begins. Yesterday, it took about 1/2 hour for a light tap on the door after which a youngish ginger doctor appeared in my room. He then asked me to explain what was going on and after I described how sick I felt, and how long it had lasted, he basically just dismissed me and said I was on top of the sickness and it would be better over the next five days. He did a quick breathing check and looked down my throat. After his expressing his diagnosis of an upper respiratory virus, he suggested getting over the counter meds and left through the sliding door, basically just writing me off after a 2 minute checkup, if it even lasted that long. His demeanor was dismissive and arrogant. It seems that Instacare gets second tier doctors to work there as many or their doctors just seem to be miserable people with poor people skills. I really wish IMC would provide an out the door survey to pinpoint these bad actors in their staff. As for me, I was left dissatisfied by my appointment and felt it could have been handled more professionally. I suppose I'll continue to use this facility out of necessity but only when I really feel I have to as my experiences at Instacare have in general been sub-par in their overall quality.
