A few years ago, I would have praised Best Buy for turning things around. They were destined to be…read morea place to window shop where you go in and find what you want and buy it online from Amazon or other sites. They started price matching some online stores and revamped their store inventory and layout, things were looking brighter for the box store. Now they cancelled gamers club discounts, making them more expensive then Amazon on new releases and most other games. They have national pricing on tvs and many other products which means it is same price to buy these from most retailers, so not much drawing in people other than for those who gotta have it now. Even with that, Amazon and others are so fast with shipping, this will hurt Best Buy. While the above is more about the company in general, the local store has its own issues. Try to price match and the employees work hard to claim you can't but when I threaten to call corporate they do the right thing (I am talking about stores in their price matching policy). Finding help in the ever diminishing auto electronics section is impossible. Directv is always their pestering you to sign up for their service, annoying. Employees are not informed about what they sell, how hard is it to find employees that have interest in games, TVs, movies, computers, and electronics in general. They rearranged the store not long ago in the center area, but still same items and diminishing inventory of games. I have given Best Buy all my game purchases over the past 5 years, but now that cancelled their gamers club discount, I plan to buy from Amazon for new releases. I am sure the 3k a year in games I bought did not make them a lot of profit but I also bought many other items while in store that they will miss out on in the future as well. Hope corporate turns things around and the local store gets better help, or they may be the next business to follow Toysrus into bankruptcy.

Purchased a TV on line on June 28,2026, delivery date July 14. I said okay I can wait. Guess what?…read moreno delivery, no call no nothing. Called phone # for service lady said looks like TV arrived at store in Tyler just today 7/14. next delivery date 7/22 or I can drive to store and pick it up. Was told I could call the store but would not get through to anyone. Will not recommend buying on line from Best Buy.

When my 2014 MacBook Pro's "E" key died, I turned to Apple Support. They listed local repair shops…read moreto take it to, and Simply Mac was the closest. I drove the hour and 46 minutes to get there because I wanted help from the pros. I got there and found two employees sitting at a desk, and the store was empty otherwise (no other customers to help). They greeted me on the way in, and I explained that my E key wasn't responding to being pressed. They said they don't fix individual keys and don't work on older computers that are out of warranty because it's not worth their time vs the money they would make. I was told Apple would replace the entire case for $760, which is more than my Mac is worth now. I asked if there was anything else I could do or if my Mac was totaled, and was told that was all they could do. I said I would just buy a new one then, and I walked over to the Macs for sale to shop. No one offered to assist me in making a purchase. I asked if they took trade-ins like the Apple Store does, but was told they only take 2016 or newer. I felt like they could have volunteered that information. I left without buying anything. On the nearly 2-hour drive home, I thought of ways I could salvage my computer. I stopped at Walmart and bought a $10 windows keyboard, so that was on option that let me log in. I researched accessibility options built into Catalina and found I can pin a keyboard to the screen. Not only that, but I can create an individual board and add keys for a lowercase and capital E so I can just click on it to input the letters. That is how I have typed this entire review, and it actually works pretty well combined with autocorrect. Here's a screenshot of my solution. Did the guys at the Simply Mac repair shop know about adding panels to use keys or using an external keyboard and just not offer those solutions because they wouldn't make any money with those easy fixes? Or are they not very familiar with the products they are supposed to be the experts in? What was clear to me in my one experience with Simply Mac was even when I was the only customer in the store, whatever they were doing on their phones was more important than solving my problem or helping me buy a replacement laptop. I contacted Apple about this problem and they said they could replace the case for $597, so even that quote from Simply Mac was off by over $100. Was it elevated by their middleman fee just to send it to Apple for me? In any case, I won't be going back. I recommend against wasting your time as well.

I recent bought a five drawer file cabinet. Look, it's a used file cabinet right? They purchase…read moreused office equipment, and new stuff as well, but the bulk is used stuff. I brought home the cabinet only to find it was such an odd size that you couldn't use standard Manila file folders in any drawer. I was ticked off but the error was mine for not measuring prior to the purchase. A few days pass and so I call the store. Rather than blowing me off, they said bring it back. They unload the cabinet, walk me back to the file cabinet area (and they have a LOT to choose from!!!) and they offered me the perfect cabinet for my need. Get this! The second cabinet was priced a few dollars more than the one I originally purchased but they gave it to me for the same price. Who does that these days?! My satisfaction was VERY important to them, without question. They loaded the replacement cabinet into my vehicle and I was on my way. Office Barn runs an ethical and professional business. Customer satisfaction means something to them even when the customer makes a error. I would whole hardily recommend Office Barn for office furniture, desks, chairs, file cabinets, etc whether for home or office. You can bet I'll be back to make additional purchases
