It's time to get some office supplies! I have been a frequent Rewards Member with Office Depot for years. There are two in present close proximity to me and this one in Oak Park usually is my go to. I was here twice recently. I recycle my empty ink cartridges here too. I had a huge bag to recycle although you can only do 10 cartridges at a time. I must say this location is never out of the cartridges that I need. Also on the one trip, I was able to get a 3-ream box of their printer paper for $13. I think that is a pretty good deal and will last me a good spell. They also carry my absolute favorite notebook by Cambridge, which is black with a hard cover. It is great for note taking! On a second trip, I went in search of a large academic calendar to organize a project. And to no surprise to me, they had the calendar available in several different sizes. The service is good! I appreciated the young lady telling me more about the recycle options and getting a $20 reward that I used on my 2nd trip. This store is very clean and organized. The only problem I have ever witnessed here is the trash cans outside at the entrance are always on the brink of overflowing. read more

I think like many businesses, this one is working with the new staff emerging from the covid-19, and trying to get back to where they were before. The staff here is very committed but they're still learning, and I foresee that this location will be a five-star location within 6 months. They had many items here, most with pricing. I did have trouble finding pricing on one desk, but we were able to find the price online. Most any activity of minor significance needed calling the manager over, but I think the staff is still learning, and will be ready to go here in a few months. read more

This was the worst online and in person shopping experience. I ordered one item online because their ad states curbside pickup orders would be ready in 20 minutes. This guarantee is posted everywhere and even advertised in big bold letters on their door. When I arrived 28 minutes later, I found there's no designated parking for curbside orders. So, I called and no answer. Went inside the store and there's only one cashier and a long line. No signs anywhere about curbside pick up or merchandise pickup. Waited in line 20 minutes and the cashier paged the online orders rep. She told me she would get my order and bring it back. She never returned. Asked for a manager who was not helpful and even seemed like he hated his job. They never found my order. This whole process took over an hour. All of the employees are like walking zombies, just existing and doing nothing. They appear to be unhappy with their job and leadership as well as the processes. I doubt this location will exist much longer if they don't get it together. read more

This rating is for their shredding service. I called first, had three medium boxes of shredding. Ended up having to weigh it ALL on a 7 lb. Scale. Had to hand pile it 7 lbs. at a time then dump in in the shred containers a hand at a time. Very frustrating but the service staff were very professional during my frustration. read more

I haven't been to this location in awhile. However, I really needed some copier paper and new desktop planner. Now I walked in 30 minutes before closing and went straight to what I needed and was in line in 10minutes. The employees were talking and they looked at me as I was an inconvenience. No acknowledgement or anything. She scans me and I asked about the teacher discount because I have an account. She takes a deep breathe as if I'm asking her to take the derivative of an equation. She says no, she checked with her manager and it was no. It was a rude atmosphere -1star and the no teacher discount lost 2 stars. read more

Horrible customer service. Came in the other day to make copies. I approached the counter looking for assistance with printing out some emails I was told by this guy in dreads to just follow the instructions at the bottom of the counter on how to print. Then he advised that if I needed further assistance he would then help. Needless to say I couldn't get the attachments on my email to open up went back up to the counter for the guy assistance and he totally ignores me I was like wow I left and went down the street to fedex office where is was given excellent customer service skip this joint and go down to 10 mile fedex office they will help you there. read more

Sometimes, the things that happen in a public place are out of the control of the staff. I get that. What IS in the control of the staff is how they deal with unfortunate events. 2 days ago, I was in this Office Depot and someone had vomited right in front of the check out counter. This is an unfortunate event. What happened next was beyond unprofessional. What happened next was NOTHING... for at least 10 minutes. The gentleman at the checkout counter kept ringing the person up who had obviously just vomited. They then moved everyone to a different counter. No acknowledgement of the vomit, no apologies, no "so sorry for the wait, we're getting someone to clean that up right now". I said, "you guys really need to get that cleaned up, it's a biohazard" He said, "I'm aware of that." That was it. I will NOT BE BACK. I think corporate needs to do some intensive training at this store. Just plain awful. The vomit was still there when I left. I hope somebody eventually cleaned it up. I needed a charging cord for my computer. I wondered the aisles they sent me to but couldn't find what I was looking for. I asked 3 employees for help. None of them were able to help me or even tried to walk to the area with me. They were nice but did not have any expertise. This is the slowest, & worst establishment I have ever visited. Whether there are 10 people in line ahead of you or 1 person, your wait time is a minimum 30 minutes. The customer service is terrible here. I now choose to drive 17 miles out of my way to the nearest UPS store just to avoid this place. All the employees move as if they are trying to spend as much time per customer as possible just to avoid working harder, so they make the customer wait as long as possible for them to accomplish the most menial tasks. Dropping off a package, ok I'll make you wait 20 minutes while I scan this label and push print on this screen. Making a copy, ok I'll make you wait 10 minutes while I put your 8x11 piece of paper on this scanner, walk around a while, talk to a few of my coworkers & then come back and press print. If you're looking for something and want assistance, the employees act as if you're bothering them. If time or customer service is of importance to you at all, avoid this location at all cost.
