This really isn't the best Office Depot at all. I go here because it's close to my small business, but I have to say it's definitely a let down. I have had strange instances over the past couple of years where an employee could have found me the same desk that I wanted at another Lubbock location, but instead chose to order it. After ordering it the main company promised it by the end of the week and then I get notified that the desk would take up to three weeks to arrive. Fortunately, after calling the local manager he apologized and got a replacement at the Slide Rd. location set up for me. Another instance of problems was very unusual. The cashier printed my receipt as I requested but instead of handing it to me, he just tears it in half and throws it away. I asked why did he do that, I have a business and need it for taxes. He looked confused and said he didn't know what to do. I asked him to give me the two halves and I'd tape it back together. Today I purchased printer ink and air freshener and instead of the cashier telling me that I had unused rewards, she just rang it up and now I received an e-mail notification that they are about to expire in a couple of weeks. I could have used them today and saved some money. This location is just weird and frustrating. Don't go there for office supplies, especially if you run a business. I think I've hit the end of my patience with these folks. read more

Have been to this location 5 or 6 times and I am always so disappointed. I think I will drive a little further and try another location next time. On most recent visit I placed an order in the print department for a small job that they said would take 2 hours. I arrived back 2 1/2 hours later and the employee indicated he was too busy and had not started my job. I went back later that evening a little before closing and it was still not ready. This store is VERY understaffed, the staff that does work there is almost zombie like, they do not greet you when you arrive, keep their heads down until you are the next customer and Management should require employees to wash their hair. Two of the men working there (on up front at cash register & one in print shop) had greasy hair that was obviously dirty. The young man in the print shop also smelled badly. read more

Once a month or so I need to replenish the stock for my store they usually always have what I need in one stop can't ask for more then that

Lots of unhelpful employees. Was ignored by at least 3 employees. Not impressed. Still spent over $300.00 on printer, only because I didn't feel like driving around to another store. This store will definitely by my last choice next time. Very disappointing. read more

Overwhelmingly understaffed. It's very difficult to get assistance when needed. I've come in twice and it's been this way both times.

So I ordered one pack of paper for $10 online an hour before I was to pick it up.So on my 30 minute lunch break I go to retrieve it. I stood in line for 35 minutes. Now I can understand waiting but the fact that I was cut in front of not once but TWICE and the cashier allowed it to happen, knowing and seeing that I was waiting before everyone else and I made it clear that I was on my break and was in a timely manner. I then finally get to the register and she sends me down the counter and continues to do whatever was more important. Then after standing there for another 5 minutes the other cashier comes over, probably because I looked frustrated. She then proceeds to scan my ONLINE order and says she needs an ID. I told her that I had a picture of it and she very rudely responded that she needed the real copy. I had already put my card information in, I had already verified that It was me picking it up. I ended up having to cancel the whole transaction because I didn't have my ID for my online order that I paid for and for $10 worth of paper nonetheless. Their website brags about recycling office products, being an environmental steward, etc., but they actually just throw the items away. When I showed up to recycle my broken printer and some ink cartridges, I was told I needed to wait in the check-out line, which was 20 people deep. I asked the associate if he could just bring it behind the counter for me. He said "no but I can put it in the trash for you." I said I prefer it get recycled but I don't have 20 minutes to stand in line so do what you think is proper. I'm 90% certain he just trashed it, and the ink. What a waste, not to mention false advertising. All he had to do was walk 10 steps and drop off the printer behind the counter. I didn't need a receipt or anything. read more

Maria at the business service counter is so helpful. I have come here multiple times now to print things and she is always pleasant and very knowledgable. I am bad with getting things the right size, but she always fixes it right up to be perfect. She is a hard worker and I will continue to go to her for all my printing needs! Crooks! Do not let these people steal from you like they did from me! I had to fax some time sensitive materials on a Saturday, unfortunately the only place I could find was this place. Well I was charged $42 dollars to send a 20 page fax because it wasn't a local area code... Better yet, it was a toll free number, which still costs them the same to send as it would to send to a local number... Nothing but the minuet amount of electricity and a piece of paper for the confirmation page! BEWARE! read more

Worst print department ever. Rude, slow, terrible. Been several times and it only gets worse.

Had great sales , but when my nieces & nephews and I went to checkout, we were told the crayons we picked out were not the ones on sale , only to have the employee comeback and say they were in fact the right ones. Then , the sale on the crayons were 25 cents a box and each of my 3 nieces and nephew got 3 boxes each, since the limit was 3/ household. We were told we could not purchase the crayons bc they thought we all were one immediate family. This was an extremely rude staff and we will not return to this Office Depot. read more

The appliances I bought were held up at the factory and could not be delivered on time. It was crisis time at my house, so I called the BEST Customer Service person I have ever dealt with. She got on the problem, found managers to locate the items, and called me back. The problem was solved with much effort and activity by Home Depot employees. The installers were out a short time later with all four appliances in tow. They had them installed in a quick and efficient manner, and their concern and service was the best Christmas present I had! read more
