My husband and I caught a glimpse of the closing sale signage, so he wanted to pop in after we got our morning coffee from Starbucks, after our brunch. We hate to see you guys close. It seems you would get quite a bit of business. But after looking around, we found a few deals to take home with us. My husband picked up a battery backup and a hard drive for a reasonable price. I found some thank you notes, binders, and page covers for a reasonable price as well. When we are in town, we don't think of shopping with vendors we can get at home in Oklahoma, but this time, my husband's hunch paid off in some good deals. They messed up a delivery date and time. Making me lose money . I called the store they were very unhelpful.

The order I placed for a headset was returned immediately because it did not fit. The return was handled accurately and promptly. Twi weeks later, I got a check for reimbursement of the postage paid on the return but NOT for the item they received. I called and was told it would "escalated" and I would get an email in 24 hours. I did. The email acknowledged the return and informed me it would take another 21 days for my credit card to be credited for the return. This is NOT an acceptable return policy. read more

Office Depot is conveniently located on Main Street. I've pooped in here multiple times to pick up products or have quick copies printed. I recently just had a large order to be printed and specified how I needed them folded. Upon my arrival I opened the box prior to leaving to find them printed incorrectly. There is a reason I drive to staples- the customer service is always fantastic. They show you proofs prior to printing the entire order, and double check the order is correct when you come for pickup. I was also not contacted that the order was ready for pickup where staples calls/ texts you. I will definitely be taking all my printing services to Staples. read more

There is only 1-2 people that work here that are nice. Today, the cashier was just rude. I asked them "how are you today?". Conpletely ignored. They were getting frustrated with the system. Which I understand. I work in customer service. So I put up with their mumbling under the breath, the heavy sighs, up until they took my card out, because the reader wasnt working, and HELD onto it, and wiped it on their shirt, and then put it back in aggressively almost breaking my card. They could have told me to do that. And they continued to still be annoyed at the system and started getting annoyed at me when I was legit just standing there minding my business. I had just been to the Office Max at 37th and Main and they didn't have what I needed and referred me to this location. When I came it, I was greeted by a friendly young woman who asked me if she could help me. As I began to tell her what I was looking for, she immediately focused on my head, reached over and began plucking at something she said was in my hair. It was very annoying and presumptuous of her and I maintained my composure, gave her a look of disapproval and moved back slightly and she apologized saying something about being OCD. Totally unprofessional behavior. You do not touch strangers without their appearance and good taste and manners dictate that one does not comment on another's appearance unnecessarily unless there is some kind of emergency. A bit of cotton or whatever it was that had blown into my hair is not an excuse to put your fingers in my hair without my permission. I realize that people think they can do or say anything they want and technically, it is a free society but this was over the limit. I'm not going to stomp around and babble about never coming back, blah, blah, blah but someone might want to provide some counseling to this individual about professionalism and guidelines and boundaries for contact with strangers. She did locate the item I was looking for and it was priced reasonably and I will continue to use Office Depot as needed. A manager there would not allow me to exchange for another printer because I did not have a receipt. They acknowledged that I wasted money and that they were unwilling to do anything about what they called defective equipment. read more

Left work early today to try and find a planner. Wandered the store, finding the official "essentials" are on the complete opposite side from the writing utensils and paper... Because that's convenient for the customer. No - it isn't. They're clearly wanting you to walk past all of their expensive merchandise. Which is transparent and annoying. Go through every single planner only to find they only carry planners for July 2014 - June 2015. Then, if I DID want to purchase one from this completely outdated establishment... They have the gall to try and charge $30 for a very basic, thin, no-frills planner. Really? I will go somewhere that is a little more in touch with what their customers want, and isnt so antiquated. Horrible, incompetent people and manager. I walked into the Office Depot store # 00239, in Kansas City, MO, on Sunday, November 11, to try and ship overnight my son's forgotten school backpack. I spoke to the young girl at the copy and print center (employee: od00239) and explain to her that I'm in a difficult situation, being a Sunday and my son, a freshman in college, forgot his backpack, with all his study books and laptop. I bought a box and packing supplies and she gave me a few options, I choose express delivery for $115.15 (order #: 00164907000115157). I have been provided with a tracking number: 9471210200829886006719 and confirmed the package will be at the destination next day, Monday, at noon. Turns out my son never received it and, calling the USPS, the tracking number doesn't pull out anything. They suggested to call the store who originated the shipment. I called and asked to speak with the store manager directly, I imagined the clerk at the mail and copy won't be of any help since they failed to do the right thing in the first place. I explained my problem and he said that the package is still in their facility and he doesn't know why the USPS didn't pick up or when they will. What ?????????? I was very upset to learn that not only I paid the money (two days shipping would've been $25.00), but they confirmed times that it'll be received THE NEXT DAY BY NOON! I've never seen anyone acting so careless, a manager to say that he simply doesn't know why his employees failed to explain that the store doesn't guarantee overnight delivery (why have I paid that for, then??) or how the whole shipping process works... Who knows?? When I asked these questions he HUNG UP ON ME, not once, but THREE TIMES. I spoke with the USPS and they said that the store most probably neglected to notify USPS for pick-up. I filed a complain with the corporate and someone did call, I was at work and I couldn't not pick up but she said to call back and talk to any manager. What's the point??? They haven't apologized for the manager's rudeness and I doubt they will ever do anything about it. They haven't mentioned the incompetence of the sleepy girl at the counter, who took my money without acknowledging the situation, or giving a darn. These people are paid in a (too) comfy job and have no supervision from above. End of story: my son got his package on Friday, five days later. On August 16. 2020 I canceled my tech subscription and was told I would recover a full refund. One month later still no refund so I called and was again provided assurance I would receive a refund in 5-7 business days. I called again on 10/2/2020 and was told my refund was improperly annotated and that it would be corrected and I would receive my refund in 5-7 business days. On Oct 21, I called and asked that my refund be escalated and after waiting on hold for a very long time (again) that I would receive and email from the supervisor within 24-48 hours. As of today, 10 weeks and spending hours on hold or being hung up on if I did reach someone. I called again today and after 3 attempts and being on hold once in excess of ten minutes, I was told the exact same thing as before. No one to escalate this issue to. No recourse. So $129.00 has not been refunded. Horrible customer service and the call center is unable to resolve any issues. I feel like they stole my money and smiled while they did it. Better Business Bureau is next. Would give zero stars but that isn't an option. read more

The print area is awful every time I come they take a long time and today I was in there and the woman took the customer after me before me in line and knew she was doing this and spent 20 minutes working on his order when all I needed to do was print 5 pages. I wish this review stars could go into the minus. This store does not complete its orders on time, or by the promised time on thier website. After ordering and calling I was told the printing order would be done by 2 pm. Called at 3 pm, they said it wasn't even started. Online order was promised by 7pm that day. Went the next day after 12 to pick up order, ...it wasn't done or started. Cancelled order there. Got run around about the time the order had been put in. Was told it would take 45 minutes to put order back in system. Then cashier says she has started printing my order right then. Order was cancelled. Shop cannot deliver orders on time, can not fullfill deadlines. Blames customers for the stores lack of perfessionalism. This store is just a headache to deal with. Wish I could give -5 stars. Whoever the girl with the light purple hair is that was working in the printing and copying section gave the rudest customer service experience I've ever had! She was being so rude to an elderly man who was probably not very tech savvy so he didn't understand the problem. She was complaining and cussing under her breath (not very quietly) right in front of him and the rest of the line about not being able to find his order. Then she got pissy with me when I asked to have something laminated because she was out of lamination paper... how am I supposed to know that??? She laminated my stuff with larger sized sheets and then cut them, but didn't do them front and back like I'd asked and she was in such a rush to get rid of me she shoved them at me and told me "I don't care just take them" honestly I would rather have paid and been treated decently than get free stuff from someone being so rude. I'm a manager at my workplace and I would defiantly let someone go for being that unprofessional. Makes me really question the management there. read more

This is most likely the most unorganized Office Depot I have ever visited. Trash and boxes all over the floor making it impossible to get around the store without tripping over something. The shelves look like a group of three year olds opened every box and tossed them back. It a very convenient location, but next time I'll go somewhere else. Dennis spent 30 minutes ordering me an AC/DC adapter that was incompatible with my label maker. Additionally, I was unable to return the adapter in-store for whatever reason. Another representative proceeded to tell me to contact the number listed on the packing list for help. I was unable to return the adapter online. Ultimately, frustrating experience. If Dennis offers to help you, please kindly refuse because to be honest he doesn't really know what he's doing. read more
