This Office Depot is closest to Chinatown without toll. I ordered a laptop and it defaults to this store on Wilcrest Drive and Southwest Freeway near border to the city of Stafford. Ok. That's not my first choice but the website defaulted me to here. I'd rather shop at Westheimer by Wilcrest Drive in Westchase. I walked in to the store and looking for the online pickup sign. I guess by my posture, someone already noticed why I was there. At the same time, I saw the pickup sign and was about to press the button. "Don't you dare to press that!" I heard a man's voice behind me. I thought it was a joke. Ok. I turned around and politely asked to retrieve my merchandise. It took him a long time. I started to browse other laptops on the shelves. I was about to change my order to get the one on the shelf with better product... Thank God. He came back with my order. After I got home, I started searching for that display laptop. It's right where it needs to be, and the main problems are the lack of stock and lack of sales and being out of some items. I have been here a few times now but this was the first were the service was superbly under par. The attendant input the incorrect selection for I was utilizing our new business account card. Instead of helping the situation he just yelled out declined, do you have another way to pay. I had to utilize my personal debit to complete the transaction. I was so embarrassed and felt shameful. It's unbelievable that I had to go to a different Office Depot because they didn't want to print 270 copies for me. Yes, I could've used the self service to printer, but it's not worth it because I would have to do it in portions due to its limit. So what's the whole point of having someone in printing services if they are not going to do a simple service for you? lol it's ridiculous and sad. This Office Depot is down right depressing. It reminds me of the grocery stores you see in very poor neighborhoods where the employees don't really care, the customers look sad to be there, poor lighting, and just down right sad. For a while I stopped going here because there was a Staples store about the same distance away from our office but they went out of business and here I am stuck with this place again. Last time I was there I was looking for something and it was clear I was looking for something while walking by two employees just talking to each other about non-work stuff and they didn't even ask if I needed help. Finally when I asked them, the guy sighed and told me to go to isle. Then at checkout, they usually have one guy working in slow motion and when I asked for clarification of a price (the sign said something about rewards members price vs. regular price), he acted like I was from a different planet. This location appears dated but has everything you need for office supplies while working virtually for a quick in and out purchase. Idk about service b/c actually I am self sufficient I knew what I needed so looked around and purchased. The line was insane at the copy center glad I didn't need any services. I like the fact that at least this place had shelves fully stocked with supplies desk etc but my friends said this location always have things in stock compared to other locations due to location in a strip center mall in a odd location. read more

A standard Office Depot where you can get home or other office supplies. The store is a bit dated but still keeps things organized. It's clean despite the wear and tear. Most products are usually in stock as well as in good supply. The prices are reasonable and they often have sales and specials. The employees are pleasant and helpful for the most part. There's been times when I had to search for an employee when I had a question. It was t hard to find one and they've always answered my questions thoroughly. I've never experienced a long wait time when in the checkout line and this location is usually less crowded than most. While the store itself may need a bit of an update, you can get what you need quickly and be on your way. read more

Love this Office Depot. It is the best one I've been to. Not in terms of appearance, but in terms of service and products. I orginally went in with my father and his ailing laptop. They did a free diagnostic and told us what was necessary. We did that and told them that I needed a computer, since it was far beyond repair. They recommended MSI. I'm so happy with it! It's on Windows, but works like a Mac and also has programs similar to a Mac, because MSI is built by and for the use of computer technicians. There is one employee who is, by far, one of the best servicers. Her name is Kim, so if you plan to go here. I recommend that you ask for her. She was fairly new when we went, but I'm sure she's experienced now. read more

I bought an item online, and not only did I have to wait around for half an hour for the ONE employee (of the 6 I saw in the store) that was working to hand over my item but I took quite an amusement in watching the other clowning around and playing on their phones while customers stood impatiently to make their purchases. To top it off, when I was handed my item (neither in a box nor in a bag) I get out to my car to leave only to find out the item was damaged. This place has clean out and restaff written all over it with the exception of a super helpful black man that wears glasses in the printing department. read more

So now they are pressuring me that you will get your money only by our gift card. The problem is if I paid with cash then why can't they give me refund in cash and the other half in my gift card? I arrived to pick up the order that had been placed a week prior online to find that it hadn't even been started. It was supposed to be ready 4 days earlier and there was utter confusion as to what had happened. I spent over 45 minutes waiting for it to be done (I'm from out of town, needed the copies for a 7 am meeting the next day) all as the surly sales staff looked annoyed that they actually had to work. It was a small job - $32 - but they wouldn't refund. I got them to give a 50% refund but that seems paltry based on their incompetence. And not once did anyone apologize. Slowest service ever and there's no one in the store. They say only takes 15 mins to laminate posters and now it's already pass 30 mins mark. And when I had to ask them why it's taking so long they don't even seem to speed up the process nor give an explanation. Order laminating paper online, went to the store to pick it up, I waited for 45 minutes and left, did not pick it up. Office Depot charged me for it anyway. I called their customer service number so they could credit the account and I was told that I needed to go back to the store probably wait inline for over an hour for them to credit the item I did not pick up. First off the office is very clean... Probably because the the managers are so rude to the customers that no one shops here. Lines always take forever even when only two people are in line. So confused on how they stay in business. I tried to ship a box and the guy literally knew nothing about shipping, so after waiting for 45 minutes, I just left to the post office. Went in for a computer repair service but decided to buy a new computer. I met with Adam, the store manager and he was so helpful! He walked me through all my options and after I picked my computer he helped set up and optimize the whole computer before I took it home. Of course this service was extra. I was looking for some CR-2032 batteries and they didn't have them in the only battery display for the store. They had some pocket LED flashlights right next to it for sale that use CR-2032. Second quest was for what is called a flat mailer which is for the USPS to mail at reasonable cost. That is .46 for first ounce and .26 each thereafter. They didn't have those either. They did have bubble mailers of all sizes that cost about $7 an ounce to deliver US mail. They have all this stuff but not what I need. How can a store be stocking stuff that is not in demand or is it that they are just too big to beat the machine and be useful? And incidentally about slow check-out, the guy at Fry's (where I went to get the battery) was in slow motion like another review said about Office Depot. I can't believe these people can take so long to dispense change for cash and then put the thing in a bag?? It is like they have no concept of how to do anything with pace. Unbelievable! read more

Terrible customer service. I purchased ink cartridges and a chair mat. I went the next day to return the chair mat because it was too large. The cashier said that the scanner wasn't working because the ink on the receipt was poor quality. She called the manager Cheryl Oliver to come and manually do the return. Ms Oliver said I needed to wait 30 minutes because she was unloading a truck. I told the cashier that I could not wait that long she again called the manager. Her response again was that she would be up in 30 minutes, I could wait, come back, or go to another store. I doubt that she was unloading stock probably just an excuse. Her attitude was totally UNACCEPTABLE. Finally the astute clerk went to the print shop and the person there manually did the return, it took less than 5 minutes. The store needs customer service training and a NEW manager. The cashier Natali was very helpful and understanding, she could train the management. read more
