I'm not typically one to write reviews, but I've had the strangest experience with OfficeMax/Depot and I'm still very confused. This all started on a Thursday morning, when I ordered two booklets to be picked up same-day at the Alpine location. I never received the email telling me my order was complete that day, which was odd because I ordered for same-day, but whatever, things happen. The next day, Friday, I get an email saying my two booklets are ready for pickup. I drive about 20 minutes to the store, park, and see there's a sign on the door that says "closed due to technical issues until further notice". Well that's odd because they just told me my order was ready for pickup! But again, things happen, hopefully they'll reopen soon and I can get my order. Friday evening, I call the store. The automated message says the store is open, but just to be sure I press the 2 to connect to the print dept. No answer. Saturday morning, I do the same thing. No answer. This order is important to me and I wasn't anticipating waiting a couple days longer than planned, so I message customer service and they basically told me I'd have to handle it with the store. Well, not sure how I can do that when they're apparently closed until further notice, but great I'll keep waiting. Saturday night, I call, the automated voice still says they are open but then I can't connect to anyone. Sunday morning, same process, no luck. I decide to message customer service again, because perhaps the store has suddenly permanently closed. I chat with someone who tells me the store is open and kindly gives me their hours. Okay. I assume they must have reopened and are just not answering their phone. After all, they must be busy following an unexpected closure. I drive to the store again, 20 minutes. The sign is still on the door, they are still closed. I am beyond confused. Do the two people I spoke to in customer service not know an entire store has temporarily shut down for three days at this point? Why can no one tell me the store is closed when it clearly is? I've since been able to get in touch with a third person at customer service who was able to cancel the order and get it shipped to me instead, which is not ideal because I really needed same-day pickup and will now not get my order until next Friday, over a week from my original order date. To reiterate, I am not upset that the store closed because I understand things happen. It's that this was meant to be a same-day pickup, and here I am four days later without the two booklets I paid over $100 for while they sit on a shelf in the store, with no idea when I can pick them up. And the lack of knowledge from customer service about a multi-day closure is just odd. The automated message when you call the store is also incredibly misleading, because it says they are OPEN. I'm just confused at their whole process, and annoyed that my order is technically ready and waiting on a shelf, but now I have to wait over a week while no one has communicated anything with me at all or given a correct answer in regards to their store being closed. I actually worked at this store as a teenager about 15 years ago and I loved it, so there was still some lingering loyalty. No longer. I think if a store closes unexpectedly, then customer service/corporate should be alerted immediately and someone should reach out to anyone who had an order in process with the store to find an alternative solution, or at least let them know they'll have to wait to pick up their order. Or even a generic email! Something, anything. This has been so, so weird. read more

The new renovations are really nice and really make the store feel welcoming and "new". I always come here when i need invites printed or large pictures. Service is always friendly and quick. Prices reasonable. Recommend their print services! read more

I worked here many, many years ago and still frequent this location to buy my supplies. As far as supplies go, they have a lot; employees, not so many. Getting someone to answer your questions can be a chore. I enjoy using the copy center for my printing and recommend it constantly to friends. I really hate having to give a three star rating. However, when I walk into a store to shop for a new printer, I don't like having to search for someone to sell it to me. read more

In the store I've never had a problem over the phone is completely different. I once ordered a signature stamp that to this day, months later, no one has ever called me to pick it up. I had waited over a week before I called to be told they were out of the specific stamp I ordered and would be in soon. Fast forward another week and then I was told the machine was down. Months later no sign of a stamp. PrintIt center is a joke! Called on availability of a chair and my service was less than professional. Personally I would give the employee an F. Her response after I gave the description was a curt "NOPE". When I asked if any other surrounding stores had the chair the response I received "Was I don't have a clue." No offer to check or anything. Sure I could look online but I'm already on the phone. She was terrible and so help me if I patronize that Office Max ever again. read more

Ben, who is the store manager at this location, was horrible to us. He said; "Your prints are ready and will be dropped off to your location in 30 minutes." Without notice, it took Ben over 2 and a half hours to drop them off with the prints were clearly just printed (They were all still HOT). It wouldn't have been such a big deal, but he gave us a ton of attitude when we asked what happened. He then continued to try and cover himself with lies on lies. Upon leaving, Ben was almost yelling and threw one box of prints on the ground. Ben was very unprofessional and should not be running his store and business in such a manor that he expressed with us. DO NOT shop OFFICE DEPOT online! THEY HAVE HAD MY $288 FOR TWO WEEKS....On 6/8 I ordered a 4drawer file cabinet for my office which was subtotaled to have no shipping charges. No sooner did I submit my order and review it one last time, I noticed shipping of $79 tacked onto my order. I immediately called to cancel the order, as there is no way to cancel online (there is with Amazon) and spoke with someone at their out of country call center. I politely gave them my reason for cancelling my order and was guaranteed a refund of $288 and some change within the week. I got online again, ordered the same file cabinet with a 20% off coupon and no shipping charge from the same website. When it came time to schedule the delivery, I noticed I had two packages to schedule. I immediately called Office Depot again to confirm my other order had been successfully canceled. I was reassured that "yes your order has been successfully cancelled and you will still be receiving your refund within the business week." So, I scheduled the delivery for both packages. Guess what, Monday 6/19 TWO large pieces of furniture were delivered to my tiny office (the CEVA delivery did not even have a dolly and had to borrow one). I called again....This time I was told it would be picked up by UPS on 6/26 and following the arrival of the box, I would again have 5-7 business days to wait for my almost $300. Totaling 3 weeks where Office Depot has my money and was unable to take care of my requests. After 45min trying to negotiate a pickup time sooner, I reluctantly agreed to take it to a UPS pick up location with a prepaid label - worried I would not even fit it in my car!! Three emails were sent to me with bin labels only. I arrived at PakMail to drop off my package and was informed it was the wrong label and I could leave the package and email them the correct label. It has been 7 phone calls in total to OFFICE DEPOT and not one label has been sent. I was told to bring it back to my office and wait until the 26th. My package is still sitting at PAK MAIL where they are kindly waiting for an email with my label attached....I STILL HAVE NO LABEL AND OFFICE DEPOT STILL HAS MY MONEY read more
