We started out with a soda list that included a blonde root beer for me and a Shirley Temple soda for my wife. After we got them, my wife was not a fan of her soda, but Tianna got a replacement of a regular root beer that was a much better choice. The manager came by to make sure the new one was to our liking and also offered more suggestions the next time we came in. We shared a Abruzzese pizza which was delicious. Along with regular dough, they offer gluten free and cauliflower crusts. The inside of the restaurant is small but feels comfortable with booths. Tables and bar seating. We ended our meal with a chocolate budino which was the perfect ending. (Sorry, no pic as it was gone too fast!) In a world with too many chain restaurants with average menus, Blue Highway stands out as a road less taken and it truly did make all the difference!

From what I've heard, the wife took the business from her ex husband in a divorce and she is clueless about how to run a business. $26 for a 2 topping pizza is insane. I asked for there to be char ion the crust and it came out flimsy as a pancake. We WILL NOT be going back. It's a shame because it used to be really good. We gave them one more shot but WILL NOT be back. Good rittens. There might have been 3 customers at 8 pm on a Thursday night. I can see why.

It is in the same parking lot as a gas station, but it is not connected and is it's own shop. Although they had a nice website with online ordering capabilities, we did opt to call in our order. The Citra location does not offer delivery, so we did takeout. It was very easy to place our order and it was ready within ~15 minutes. They offer small, large, x-large, and something else that must be very big sized pizza, some calzones and subs. We ordered a large pizza with a half and half option. One half cheese, the other sausage, peppers, and onions. There was plenty of pizza and it was really good! It had a nice doughiness to it but not in an undercooked way. I did notice online you can order thin crust or crustless as well - however, I liked it the way it was. The sauce was tasty, it was pretty cheesy, and there was a good amount of toppings added.

I was there last Thursday, and we tried the June appetizer, which was an arancini with risotto and bolognese sauce, I believe. I often order the vedure arrosto pizetta, which is basically their veggie pizza, and I like to add sliced roasted garlic to it. The ambiance is nice - I like the large open space, and imo, it's inviting with plenty of sunshine and the artwork. The only thing I'd change is maybe add a few more dessert options, but my best friend does love their cannolis!
