If you're looking to learn how to e-foil with confidence, this is the place to go. I spoke with other spots that treat it as a tourist attraction or a side business, but Bart and the SoCal team really know their stuff. I recently had the pleasure of taking a kiteboarding lesson with Captain Kirk's Watersports, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, the team was incredibly welcoming and professional. The instructor was not only highly skilled but also patient and encouraging, making sure everyone felt at ease. What truly set this experience apart was the positive and supportive atmosphere. It felt like more than just a lesson; it was an exhilarating adventure. I left feeling confident and excited to continue kiteboarding. I highly recommend Captain Kirk's Watersports for anyone looking to learn kiteboarding. You won't be disappointed!

We called asking about longboards and Tony told us to come in and check out what he has. As soon as we walked in, I felt uncomfortable. He was looking me up and down and it felt he was already assessing my level of ability based on size. When we told Tony we were looking for boards he suggested soft top boards. Not a problem but we told him we had been learning on glass boards and preferred looking at those. He then proceeded to say "Oh! So you're popping up and riding waves? Wow. Not to sound like I'm better than you but most people who learn from non professionals are already doing 5/6 things wrong..." I then immediately walked out. Tony was extremely disrespectful and made my husband and I both uncomfortable. Do not recommend coming in at all. Highly would suggest not coming in if you are a woman of any larger build. Come on, Tony. Do better, please.

I have been going to the us open forever n I have been disappointed LEXUS as a sponsor has not generated as much excitement as past sponsors, the best one was with HURLEY of course bc they are in the surfboard business, surf wear and surf culture. They gave out a lot of freebies like caps, water n pens, Lexus almost had nothing. These days the only food you see are unsightly huge food trucks. We ate at Lorea inside the Pasea hotel, it was expensive n the food was mediocre. I always think it's hilarious seeing HB cops riding horses, they looked so cool, the cops on motorcycles had AK47 strapped on the bike! The crowd has been tame n really behaving, years ago it was rowdy w public drinking n brawling from mostly kids fr the inland empire. They said they would do it, but it might take a week or so as it is an old order. Now over two months later and after numerous e-mails and phone calls, I have been told basically, "Sorry, we can't refund it, accounting says it isn't possible". This is nonsense, it is a $200 part, the owner could refund me from petty cash or his own money and write off the expense. I will NEVER shop here again. This is literal theft, they took my money, never delivered the part and refuse to refund a cancelled order. Unbelievable!
