The vibe was completely different than the dealership, as I felt like the folks at Max Automotive genuinely cared about getting me taken care of and figuring what the issue was with the vehicle. They also understood that at over 20 years old and nearly 200,000 miles, I wasn't going to perform any heroics for this car. Just one day later, they had diagnosed the issues, sent me a quote for the work, and confirmed next steps. I really want to applaud their communication - I've never had such great communication from any service I've gotten, and that is super important to me. They texted me often with updates and called me to get more information when needed. They were genuine and explained everything well, which I appreciated not being car- savvy myself.
