I have had an okay experience with this tailor. Sure there is always a line, but folks keep coming back. Proximity makes it easy, but there is another tailor across the street - if it were that terrible. I left some items to get items sewn on. They had a plan to have the work done and ready for pickup within 7 days. The items were ready when I came to recover them and I had the next item ready to drop off - for pickup in another week. The true test is what I get back this second time. I left an AGSU jacket for a patch sew on. If you know the belt is probably the most important piece of that jacket... you lose the belt, you can assure yourself of having to get another jacket. Anyways, mine is sewn onto the jacket... I took a photo, if I don't get it back, we might "have a problem, Houston." Sarah worked the desk when I came in, and she was very helpful in getting my items to me. She also helped me hunt down my unit insignias for the shoulders. So, I was impressed by the friendliness and courtesy shown me by the staff on the two times I've been. PROTIP: If you remove your own old patches and velcro, you will save yourself some cash, as there is a charge to remove those items before sewing the items you do want on. Parking is a little weird, if you approach from the north, you may have to navigate around the building to get access to the parking lot. So far, I'm pleased with this sew shop. read more

I unfortunately went here again bc of the urgency to get my AGSUs pressed and dry cleaned. I paid the hugely expensive express fee and they still didn't get me my AGSUs I'm time. It took a full day later, on top of that the AGSUs weren't even cleaned, only steamed and not pressed. Garbage! The employees are useless and the prices are too high. Location is the only reason they are still open. Look for another place. read more

If there was a way for me to give them a negative star I would. My aunt took my grandmother's suit here to be altered and dry cleaned. Went to go pick it up and all they did was dry cleaning it and tried to charge her for it being altered as well. When she advised it was not altered. Very unorganized. Last year this place ran much smoother and looked more organized. When coming in to pick up or drop off, be prepared for these things: 1) there will be a line 2) although very nice, the person working the register will stay with the one person, what feels like, throughout the entire process/lifecycle of your business with them I.e. receive, charge, take it to the back, hand stitch the item, sew it, run to the cleaners to clean it, bring it back, give it to you, meanwhile the line is just getting longer. An over exaggeration but if you've been here, you've waited and watched something similar play out. 3) picking up is the same, just in reverse. Great friendly staff but this place is in desperate need of a project manager that can streamline customer service. I waited 47 minutes to pick up because my item couldn't be found. My suit was too big and they made it nearly perfect. It would have been better but I was rushed and didn't ask for anything else. So that's on me. They are open on sundays!!! This is such a major thing. They do normal clothes and jeans. They talked me out of skinning my jeans and just a straight cut. They were right! The jeans were skinny enough. The army loves giving its soldiers tasks/ details at last minute. So, as usual I was notified today 09/29/2020 of a ASU dress uniform inspection on tomorrow 09/30/2020. I immediately called another locally renowned sew shop to be given the same old "it'll be ready next Monday because were so backed up" answer. OFF POST SEW SHOP popped up as a recommendation and I gave them a call prior to driving the their location. The front counter girl greeted with a welcoming "how may we help you". I then explained my situation and the importance of having my uniform updated today. They gladly accepted my uniform AND even expedited it(with a RUSH charge of course). I arrived at 1100 hours and was out there with my new rank on my ASU uniform and pressed by 1215. No hassle. No smart remarks. Good ole customer service. Thank you OFF POST SEW SHOP! My things weren't ready not only at the first time I was told but also the second. this place is incompetent at their service they offer. all of my friends have also had problems with this business. This place does all my alterations whether it be my military uniforms and set up's or my civilian suits. They do good work speedy turn around and have yet to disappoint. I've used the rapid turn around feature a few times and definitely worth the extra $10. The staff is well attentive even though this places is always packed. I took 2 sets of uniforms for dry cleaning and starch. they were in deed NOT starched. I had to wait over a hour for them to be completed by the owner. i requested 4 name tapes they didn't get stitched until I asked where they were. they were done on the spot so I also had to wait for them to be completed as well. i also requested my PC be stitched. which wasn't with my uniform when it was time to check out , but since it was already closing time, i was told to come back in the morning. overall a waste of time, and I spent my whole afternoon going in and out of the store waiting for my things to be completed correctly read more

I took a pair of pants to be let out and hemmed, a week later I received a phone call telling me they made a mistake and took them in not let them out.I was fine with the mistake,but I paid $32 dollars and the manager wanted me to settle for a pant that was 2 sizes bigger and 3 weeks later wanted me to drive to the shop for more fittings.At that point I was loosing my patience and after asking her for the pants and my alteration money.She blocked me, according to her from coming back,well I was not planning on coming back with such rude practices. read more

We won't be going to this shop again and would not recommend it. They were not able to offer dry cleaning when I went in so I opted for an in house "wash and steam" for my husbands dress blues. we needed it rushed and it was not done by the pick up time agreed upon. The garments we got back were significantly smaller and they failed to mention they shrank them. They also lost the custom name tag that goes onto part of the suit. I was met by a super friendly lady who was able to remove and sew on the ranks while I waited. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because of the location.
