I have hade bot shaves and haircuts, and can only say a few things:…read more 1.The shave. This must be what it is like to have a spa-day. I go in all stressed out, and lay back while a dude with a sharp object uses it around my neck and face while I am blinded by a warm towel in a chair with steam blowing on my face. Sounds unsettling, but it is the closest I ever had to a "spa day"... I left the most relaxed I had been in a long time. Enderson also provides great haircuts in addition to a D@mned fine straight razor shave. He's cut my hair a few times, and I lock in on him on Booksy, usuallay every 2 weeks for a shave, every 6-8 weeks for shve and haircut.... This place is my go to to just close my eyes and know I will walk out looking good and feeling good. The smell, walking in, is just fantastic, the crew is all clean cut and syncronized with their clothing, all wearing the same thing. It's so clean, you could eat off the floor, and the spirit is just upbeat with the music whether in Spanish or English. The layout is clean and solid and bright. It would be a sin to NOT recommend them... The staff is courteous, and if you schedule an appointment, the only wait time I experienced was about 0 to a handshake with my barber. They even have beverages (although I never grabbed a soda or water, so dunno if they charge). This shop is 5/5 and I will continue to visit them. They have NEVER let me down, and they are good. DAMNED GOOD. I usually cannot stop touching my face for a few hours after I leave there...

I like my haircut. I am satisfied, but I wouldn't recommend it or go back because of the culture…read moreand the level of care I felt like I received. Details below First, about me: 1) My hair is straight and notably thick for fine hair. 2) This was my 1st time trying a salon that isn't like $65+/ women's cut. I have taken my probable bias into account while creating this review. I saw Niki (spelling = ?) for a women's haircut. I wanted to trim off several inches to armpit-ish length + soften the edges. Haircut was good. I must mention I witnessed the 2 present hairdressers complaining *in front of clients* about the lack of stylists in the area to hire, and they joked - for a duration that has me convinced it *totally wasn't* a joke - that they'd hire anyone who claims to be a hairstylist just as long as they knew basic color theory. Yikes. So obvs that's big turnoff to a new client + worth mentioning, but the experience was just unsatisfactory overall. Here's the deal. I've talked to so many bubbly hairdressers who are passionate about their work. And I get that a salon is like a family. That's great! But if I'm your family's dinner guest, I expect the host to introduce themself/-selves, maybe offer water/beverage, check in about water temperature, ask about myself, keep conversations with family co-hosts positive and professional, speak of your family to guests with dignity, and, idk, help me feel welcomed throughout? Cool. These expectations - though some were possibly too much - weren't met at Parkway Salon. Nor were some other basic things I'd expect- like an atmosphere where I'm comfortable speaking up or asking for clarification, for a heavy-handed hairdresser to look in my general direction while brushing, for hairdressers to be positive but maybe not carelessly dancing while snipping away, to be asked if I want a receipt, and maybe even to be asked if I want to schedule a next appointment. I could tell Niki was trying to be nice at the beginning and at the very end, though. And, again, I still like my haircut. Maybe the negative atmosphere was from the other client present, or maybe mornings are just rough here.
