We asked for our Doodle to be cut in a very precise way, and she has cut it exactly as asked each time. Nicole has been wonderful in the way she grooms him, but also very gentle and compassionate. Fairly recently, our dog began having occasional seizures. In spite of being medicated, he has them on rare occasions. Recently, he had one at PetSmart as grooming was begnning. We were still in the store when it began. Both Nicole and Michelle took the most wonderful care of our dog! We were alerted, and came to his side within a few seconds, but were so very grateful for the love and compasion with which they treated him during his seizure. Previously, our dog was groomed at a boutique salon that specializes in Doodles in Milton. Each time he was groomed, there was an issue. This prompted our change. I have to say that I was reluctant to use a "chain store" at first. Now, we will go no where else! We have referred several other Doodle owners to Nicole or to this PetSmart grooming salon. In every case the owners were very pleased and like us, became repeat customers. If you read my reviews, you'll see that I call them as I see them. I cannot adequately express my appreciation for PetSmart's Dawsonvile Grooming Salon! They get my highest recommendation!

I have neuropathy in my hands and leash walking has definitely been challenging for me so, I was hoping Greg could give me some pointers. Never did I expect Trinity to be able to walk next to me without a leash. Where to begin.... Vanda, the receptionist, was so kind, patient and sweet! She was extremely helpful with my multitude of questions before, during and after. I am very much the helicopter mom for our fur baby...lol. I've never done something like this so Vanda was amazing answering all my questions. You could genuinely see the love she had for all her fur and human customers. Trinity boarded overnight and it was obvious she was very comfortable and connected with Ashlynn that was giving her some trail walks and taking care of her. Due to the limited amount of time I had in town I was only able to get two sessions in with Greg. It is mind blowing how much he taught Trinity but more so me in that time during our sessions. I loved the analogies and thought provoking scenarios he provided in order for me to relate to our pup and her thought process. I had always heard it's more about training the owner versus training the dog. Which I definitely see now. Greg even told me by the time we left on the second visit that Trinity would walk next to me without a leash. And she did! Now I have a lot of work to do still especially when we go back home down to South Georgia. But I definitely look forward to bringing Trinity back in a couple months to work with Greg a little bit more. Because I had to go several times I really feel like I got to know the staff. Trinity was very excited to see Vonda, Ashlynn and Greg. As I like to say, Trinity did the wiggle butt dance every time we arrived! Regardless if you need doggy daycare, overnight boarding or training the Peacefulness & Serenity of this facility is like no other and your pup will be in GREAT hands. This was such a precious find! I also loved all the little extras that could be added on. The irony is when we lived up in this area 8 years ago, our German Shorthaired Pointer Rascal used to run to a farm behind us. Little did we know it was Atlanta Dogworks. It was pretty impressive that Vanda remembered our Sweet Rascal Girl too. That sure was a sign that Trinity was in good hands! It was exhausting for me at times. My husband thought it was too late to train an almost 7 year old dog but I thought contacting Mona and getting a free demo would not hurt. Boy,was I right! After the demo I knew what I had to do and signed up for dog training lessons. What a difference! Mona has so much knowledge about the dogs, their body language and how to correct the owner during the training process when needed, sending clear signals to the dog so it will not get confused in what is expected of it. I rescued a lovely 6 year old male Portuguese Water Dog who had somehow gotten away from his previous owners and was found wandering around the North Georgia Mountains. I was keen to make sure that the same thing didn't happen again since my new buddy clearly had strong instincts to chase things. He also had no idea that a human was on the other end of his leash and would drag me into his chase with the squirrels too. After just 2 weeks with Mona, my dog was happier, more confident, and wonderfully obedient. And I'm happier as a result too. I am no longer being pulled to and fro and he can walk by a squirrel without going completely nuts. The progress she made with him in such a short time was nothing short of miraculous!
