This is all you can reasonably expect from a liquor store. I wanted Angel's Envy, which isn't particularly rare, but can be tricky to find in some cases. They had a shelf full of it. I wanted a single beer one night and pulled in, only to be stunned by the presence of the legendary Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. If you don't know what that means, then you aren't a real beer enthusiast. I've only seen it 3 times in my life. It comes out once a year in a small batch and it sells out quick all over the country. The liquor barn just had it sitting there like it was no big deal. Legendary. I go back today looking for one beer, sorta hoping in the back of my mind that I'd see another 120 minute IPA. They were sold out...but then right there, out of nowhere...sitting there like it's no big deal...sits the Pliny The Elder from Russian River. This is arguably among the greatest IPAs ever brewed, can be very difficult to find, and is a truly exceptional example of the style. Liquor barn had it. I'm not sure at this point that there's anything left that anyone could do to make me more impressed with their beer selection. 2 rare beers that stay in the conversation about greatest IPA ever...both available at liquor barn. Couldn't be happier. 5 stars.

My issue is with the location of this store, just east of Federal, an area well known for crime. The parking lot had several cars full of people that were just hanging out, smoking cigarettes and checking out my car. I debated not even getting out of my car and was quite happy to get back in and close my doors. I was really quite uncomfortable. It's an area of town I'm rarely in and there is a reason for that. It's not a terrible store but keep your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings. I, personally, wouldn't return again.

He was clearly super knowledgeable about tequila and was really happy to discuss chat about their huge selection of hand picked labels.
