Ofelia's was wonderful! The owner was warm and accommodating! We had a large group but it was the most fun we had in Mexico!

They were warm and delicious. The herbs in the butter made for a nice compliment. We were served a small pork hors d'oeuvre before we ordered. It's flavor was nice and refreshing. I had the pappardelle mariscos. The seafood was all fresh and reasonably portioned. The white sauce and drizzle of pesto made for a nice flavor pairing. I do not think the noodles were house made... My friend tried a gin and fruit cocktail... well two because they were so good. Check out this new place!

We went in for cocktails because the bar was decorated with modern decor and was quite stylish. We chose to sit on the patio which was nicely decorated and the weather was perfect. We ordered two cocktails that were both delicious! You can tell they take pride in their cocktails and food. We ordered "the three spoiled ones" to snack on, which was basically three sliders, but they weren't your typical sliders. They were each a different kind of meat and cheese. I enjoy trying new things and they were also very good. They had a DJ playing music throughout the bar. I'd love to try more items next time we're on vacay!

DREAMS & SECRETS VALLARTA May 2025…read more The ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice and servers were very polite and attentive. The food came out fairly quick and all tasted very good. The Pork shank was massive and the seafood risotto was flavorful. The scampi was not as expected and the cheese was overpowering. Overall, good option to check out at the all inclusive resort. Also, they now allow shorts (not sport shorts) to enter the restaurant.

I have made my scruples with the dress code known in other reviews, and I'll do it here. Long pants are a ridiculous requirement in a climate as hot and humid as this one. You will see my legs for approximately the time it takes me to walk from the host stand to the table, at which point they disappear from view. This is a silly requirement, and it should go away. That aside, this restaurant was not what I had hoped. While I didn't expect something ranking in my top Italian experiences ever list while in Mexico, I was hoping for something on par with the other really solid dining options at the resort. Neither the food, nor the service, lived up to our expectations. The meal took almost two hours, we didn't even see our appetizers for the first hour. It was not particularly busy in there. Unlike the french restaurant counterpart on the Secrets side, the service was not attentive here at all, and nothing was done to try and make up for the problems in the kitchen. When the food ultimately did arrive, it was okay. Sauces were too thin, not sticking to the noodles and ending up more like a broth at the bottom of the bowls. Proteins, which are a strength of the resort cooking in general, were tasty and juicy. Pasta didn't have the taste or appearance of being made in house, which for the upscale vibe they're presenting (and you are paying for) was disappointing to me. That would be a simple way to elevate the experience, though of course taking more prep. This particular restaurant fell short, but we were overall pleased with our dining options at Secrets.

We ordered the bbq for 2. It was a plate with some of everything(beef, ribs, chicken, pork and sausage) and cactus, grilled onions, beans, tortillas and a couple of small quesadillas on the side. Our server spoke excellent English and the place was very comfortable. They have a nice area for kids. If you want to come during the day and have them hang out there while they're waiting for their food. I got the barbecue sauce which is a side that you have to ask for and it was very tasty We really enjoyed this place. It felt more authentic and more local than most of the places we normally go to in the South part of the town on the coast. It was about a third less expensive.

Rooftop patio with twinkle lights, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food -- what more can you ask for! We got the guacamole and tuna sashimi as appetizers, and the guacamole (as well as the complimentary salsa) was made right at the table to our exact specifications (mild, please!). We weren't really drinking tonight, so got virgin strawberry daiquiris which were essentially delicious smoothies. I bet the real ones are top notch, too. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, which came with additional guacamole, rice, and beans in a build-your-own style. My partner had the tomato cream soup, which came with biscuits and had a beautiful presentation. We asked if they served lunch on the way out (they do, opens at 2pm), since we can't wait to come back. We got two churros to go since some of the reviews raved about them -- still too full to eat them but looking forward to it!
