    Shrimp and lobster risotto
    Annette D.

We were really excited to try this restaurant. We had heard good things from many. There's a formal dress code and there was an hour wait (they don't take reservations). No problem. Great menu. The food was delicious. My shrimp and lobster risotto was one of the best I've ever had. My husband's chicken Parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo was just ok. The service was horrible. Water and wine glasses never refilled. We flagged another server to request butter but it never came. We were tucked in a table in the corner but finally walked out after waiting almost 40 minutes for water, wine and our next course. I even tried waving a napkin. Not only did our waiter and his partner not notice, the other waiter staff didn't either. Very disappointing. Will definitely not return.

This Italian restaurant is located inside the Dreams hotel. They are pretty strict about the dress code. Women have to wear blouses, skirts, or dresses. Men have to wear long pants and collared shirts, but they do provide long pants for the men to borrow. Here are the items we ordered to share amongst our group: - Mahi mahi carpaccio: 4/5. Thinly sliced and tender. Needed more flavor - Caesar salad with calamari: 4/5. Caesar salad is always delicious! Calamari was tasty as well and not too greasy - Pappardelle with alfredo sauce and porcini mushroom: 1000/5. This was amazing!!!! It had such a rich taste - Linguini with pesto sauce: 4/5. Had a strong, pesto flavor, which was yummy - Risotto with shrimp and lobster: 3/5. Minimal shrimp/lobster - Mahi mahi with Sicilian sauce: 4/5. Tender and tasty! - Salmon with capers butter: 5/5. So tender it melts in your mouth! - Desserts (cannoli, panacotta, tiramisu, and all the gelato flavors): 3/5. The cannoli was the best (nice and crispy). Gelato was disappointing. It wasn't very smooth They also gave us bread before the meal. One had rosemary which was so good! They were very generous with the Parmesan cheese, which I appreciated! I tried a bunch of drinks (moscato, pina colada, and this blue drink). They were yummy! Ambiance is fancy-looking, but a little dark so food pics were meh. Service was excellent.

The restaurant is located within the Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort. This is an Italian restaurant on the resort located on the first floor. This is an Italian food restaurant. The restaurant is dimly lit but it sets the mood for a wonderful dining experience. The service is top notch, if you are lucky enough to have Oscar, he will take good care of you. For starters we had the eggplant which was absolutely delicious we also had The antipasto which was good as well, a collection of Italian cured meats with cheese and veggies. My girlfriend and I shared a tomato cream soup which was so good. For our entrees I had the Zuppa de pesce served over fettuccini while my girlfriend had the Chicken Marsala. Both meals were cooked really well and were so flavorful. For dessert we had the tiramisu and the panna cotta both desserts were the perfect size and very good.

The restaurant is located inside Dream Vallarta Bay Resort. You do need to be a staying guest in order to enjoy dinner here. It is an Italian restaurant and it is the only restaurant that require a dress code. Formal wear is required. We walked in and the restaurant is quite big. However, we came end of May and it was the resort's low season. It was still very hot outside at around 35 degree Celsius. The restaurant didn't have the AC on high enough that we were basically sweating while eating. I ordered a few dishes to try: -Creme Di Pomodori Con Pane Tostado -Risotto Gamberetti & Aragosta -Gelato and Cannoli Ripieni -Insalata Caesar Con Calamari -Filletto Di Manzo Con Carciofi, Gorgonzola E Patate Profumate Al Tartufo B ordered -Carpaccio Di Pesce -Pasta Di Fettuccini Ai Fruitti Di Mare We both enjoyed our meal. All dishes were well presented and they were all very tasty. Because we were staying in an all-inclusive hotel, the portion size was nice and small and it gave us the opportunity to try more than one main. Overall good service. It is not an authentic Italian restaurant but it was not a bad restaurant.

The food and service were outstanding. The appetizers and main courses were perfectly prepared and were decent sized. The desserts were ok. The tiramisu was still frozen.

Located in the secretes resort on the dream side. Food was Amazing, wish I took more pics. Our concierge made us reservations so we were in a secluded part of the restaurant. Super private Very dressy attire required. We had a 5 course meal and the waiter explained everything to us and gave us recommendations for the drinks. Definitely try out this spot if you stay at the resort!

They were warm and delicious. The herbs in the butter made for a nice compliment. We were served a small pork hors d'oeuvre before we ordered. It's flavor was nice and refreshing. I had the pappardelle mariscos. The seafood was all fresh and reasonably portioned. The white sauce and drizzle of pesto made for a nice flavor pairing. I do not think the noodles were house made... My friend tried a gin and fruit cocktail... well two because they were so good. Check out this new place!

We went in for cocktails because the bar was decorated with modern decor and was quite stylish. We chose to sit on the patio which was nicely decorated and the weather was perfect. We ordered two cocktails that were both delicious! You can tell they take pride in their cocktails and food. We ordered "the three spoiled ones" to snack on, which was basically three sliders, but they weren't your typical sliders. They were each a different kind of meat and cheese. I enjoy trying new things and they were also very good. They had a DJ playing music throughout the bar. I'd love to try more items next time we're on vacay!

The view can be beat anywhere in PV and PV is my home away from home. Book early. Truly 5* dining. Every second from arrival until taxi or driver picks you up. During high season you even need reservations for the bar. That's how incredible this restaurant is. If I could give a six star I would give it Dress: resort dinner, not resort casual Yes that's it. The setting, the atmosphere, and especially the views make this much more than just a place to have dinner--it's an experience. We started with cocktails. I ordered a traditional Old Fashioned made with Maker's Mark. It was made perfectly, although I would have liked to see a better selection of bourbons. Maker's Mark was the best bourbon available, but fortunately, they made a very good Old Fashioned with it. My wife ordered one of their specialty cocktails, the Maracuyá, made with tequila, passion fruit, lime juice, and agave syrup. It was refreshing and a perfect cocktail for a warm evening. We started dinner with their namesake salad. It was a generous portion--large enough to be a meal on its own--and our wonderful waiter wisely suggested that we split it. It came with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, apples, pineapple, carrots, walnuts, and goat cheese, topped with a passion-fruit vinaigrette. After a hot day in the sun, it was incredibly refreshing. For my main course, I ordered the ossobuco, a slow-roasted pork leg with a Marsala wine reduction served over mushroom risotto with vegetables. The pork was absolutely delicious--falling-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. My wife chose the grilled octopus. The flavor was very good, but I would have preferred the slippery skin to have been removed before cooking. It was tasty, but the extra work required to eat it would probably make me choose something else on our next visit. But honestly, the ambience is what makes La Cappella truly special. We arrived about 30 minutes before sunset and watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon while a live violinist played along with recorded music. Sitting there with my wife, watching the sunset and listening to the violinist, was simply amazing. It's hard to imagine a more romantic setting anywhere in Puerto Vallarta. The interior is elegant, formal, and exceptionally well kept, while the overall atmosphere feels special without being stuffy. We wound up, ordering an after dinner, drink, in lieu of dessert, but moved out to the high top patio to get a better view of the city. I highly recommend La Cappella for a special occasion, anniversary, date night, or simply a romantic evening with someone you love. The food is excellent, the setting is spectacular, and the experience is one you'll remember.
