We LOVE Pulpito. Things to get: Summer rolls Croquettes Coconut shrimp Sliders Chicken souvlaki Skip the pizzas - it's a Spanish restaurant. PRO TIP: Mondays are pintxos night! You can try several of their tapas. The tortilla is a stand out.

Caprese, sardine and artichoke, prosciutto and tomato spread. Better than anything I had in Spain.

The food is absolutely delicious! The bartender makes the best drinks in town. Monday they have tapas for 35 pesos. The food is the best you will find in Puerto Vallarta, better than what I've had in Spain.

Hidden gem in Romantica district. Across from the original Blondies on Pulpito... hence the name. Identifies as a gastronomic pup but more of a tapas style. Was a great experience from ambiance to food and price as well. When went they had a tapas table could walk up and select at $2 an item. They were all delicious although most on a crostini.... But there is a wider assortment can order from menu. Get the ahi as it is amazing and shareable. Was my favorite meal of the trip to PV

On vacation here in Puerto Vallarta and randomly decided to walk into this place and wow, it was a vibe! Initially, we were aiming for a table outside but got seated inside (outside was full). Turned out to be the best thing, honestly. The place has this relaxed feel that's perfect for a small group or just a chill date. We had just finished eating some tacos down the street and we weren't really in the mood for a whole meal so we decided to go with some small desserts instead. The "postre de la casa," which turned out to be an exceptional homemade cheesecake topped with fresh berries was so bomb. The flan was also spot-on, delivering that perfect blend of creamy texture and flavor. As for the drinks, the mision drink and the cucumber margarita were so good (we got a good buzz going after just one each). Our waiter made our night even better. He was super friendly and patient, answering all our questions and giving great recommendations. He was just super chill and was the perfect blend of attentive and not overbearing. Though the place is a bit on the small side, it's absolutely worth it. It wasn't as packed as other places, but honestly, it deserves to be bustling. The size contributed to the cozy, intimate vibe, which we really enjoyed. We're already looking forward to going back. It's a perfect laid-back bar with delicious cocktails. Totally recommend checking it out if you're looking for a spot to just relax and enjoy some quality time.

We found this hidden gym, just a half a block from our condo. It is a tapas type of restaurant with incredible quality and all the ingredients are fresh. The watermelon salad is incredible! The service is top Notch and the cocktails are perfect, one of the best margaritas I've had since I've been in Puerto Vallarta! If I could give it more than five stars, I would! Benjamin led us through the menu and he was spot on on his recommendations. Small menu, but everything is well done! I apologize for the picture of the watermelon salad we started eating before we could get a good picture, but the presentation is amazing!

Wow! This place is 5 stars for a reason! Definitely make your way here. This cute little place is definitely a great place for a date night. For what we are it was a great value for the quality of the food and service. The staff really does take care of you. We started off with the Sandia Mediterranea. This oh so refreshing salad started off the meal perfectly. It had the perfect combination of flavors and nothing was too overpowering in it. Wish I can have eat this all day because wow it was great! Then moved onto tempura. Which was almost like authentic Chinese tempura which was nice and light on the batter and but still golden. Also had the Spanish croquettes which were nice and creamy but still very delicious. They were fried to perfection where it was not too soft or not to crispy and still allows the filling to be creamy. Also the amazing cheese plate which had the perfect amount of cheese and others on the plate. This had the perfect amount of sweet and savory to it with the right combination of fruits, cheese and nuts. Okay now let's talk about the dipping and spreads which were my favorite and star of all the dishes. It added the perfect touch to each dish. They are all so flavorful and tasty we needed more. For sure will be back here soon or maybe even the next day!

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.

I say "small", as the the inside spaces, on all three floors, can get tight, especially the first and third floors. However, the outdoor space on the second floor makes up for it all! It's a multi-story bar lounge to hang and enjoy some great cocktails as well as some amazing music and music videos from all over. They closed a little earlier than normal the night we stopped in, a bit surprising for a Saturday night but definitely still enjoyable since we closed the bar out on the patio of the top floor overlooking the street with two solid drinks. Our bartender was really easy going offered for us to pick a few videos but one of the customers was on a role so we just let them have it - only a little off after they started skipping videos. The entire layout is very fun, definitely watch you step and your head if you're tall like me and the novio. Definitely a great spot to wrap up the night and/or start it off. The second level has this amazing wide patio deck with a beautiful mural. Definitely need to hang there a bit next time. We only had one minor issue with change here, but it got resolved really easily. Everyone we met was kind, friendly and welcoming even the person living their best life as the impromptu video dj of the night shot after shot. It's a full bar, no eats, but nothing but great energy and beats.
