    Pretty bar and excellent bartender
    Amber E.

This little Mezcaleria/ tequila bar was our favorite bar in Sayulita. They have over 100 types of mezcal and tequila, amazing cocktails, and an intimate, very cool atmosphere, a bit of a "hidden gem" right off the main street. Our bartender was incredibly friendly and talented, and whipped up some delicious and beautiful cocktails. Favorites were probably the watermelon mint margarita and Paloma, but you really can't go wrong with anything here. Looking forward to our next visit!

Super cool spot, off the beaten path! We absolutely loved the unique interesting cocktails and chatting our way through the Mezcal.

A cool little hole in the wall bar that has a pretty large selection of tequila and mezcals and the bartender makes a mean margarita. The place was filled with people but we got a nice table to hang in and everyone around was cool. Also they were playing great music that set the right vibe. Definitely a good place to stop and get a drink. Oh yeah, they even gave us a cup to carry out our drinks. Legendary.

Cute little bar! We came here twice while on our trip, both bartenders were awesome! I tried the chili covered crickets and worms with mezcal tequila. YOLO.

My good friend Todd opened this bar a few months back and myself , my wife and a wedding party of 30 were able to stop in and have a few drinks last week. This is a bar, not a disco, not a lounge, not a sports bar. It's a place to have a drink with a good friend and share some stories. Todd is a expert on tequila and will give you solid advice. Stop in and have a cold one or two.

Pulque! Try the Pina-Coco or Naranja!

Stumbled upon this place when the sky opened up and the rain forced us indoors and I couldn't have been happier. Great little space- maybe seating for 8-10 at the bar at best and 3-4 smaller tables total. Ambiance is on point, music was on point and this was the best service I've had in all of Mexico. Our bartender was friendly, helpful, and all around helped us to have a great time. Try the pulque- this was new for me and is the sap that is extracted from agave while the juice is mezcal. We had the Natural- a kombucha-Esque flavor and also the Naranja and Pina-Coco. Am only sad I can't make this a regular spot!

    Tasting Raicilla.

I saw it and I checked it out on a whim and I'm glad I did. I ended up going a total of three times (in nine nights). They prove their own beer and they have about 10 or 12 of their own stuff on draft. You can get it as a 14 ounce pour or you can get a flight of four beers of 4 ounces each. I had two flights and enjoyed most of them. I went back twice. Each time, I had a guest beer, both of which were tasty. The food is also really good. They have a woodfired oven. The first time, I had the veggie skewers. The second time I had the bruschetta. The third time I had the shrimp skewers. They were all very good. The place is not too loud and there is more than enough ample seating. There are three levels. Most people hang out on the bottom level, but you can go up to the deck if you'd like. It's a very nice view. I sat at the bar both times and both times found the bartender really friendly. Probably the best place to go to get a solid craft beer in PV. Oh, did they mention that they are all on draft?

The burger was definitely not one of the best I've had in town, and I'm 90% sure the patty was a frozen one. The bottom bun was soggy to the point of falling apart while trying to pick it up. Flavor overall was fine, and was very reminiscent of what you may consider bar food, which makes sense. They have a fairly wide array of alcoholic beverage selections, and seem like a fun touristy spot to have a good time. The feel of it as a whole was positive and fun, but the music was too loud to have a normal level conversation with someone at the table with me. We either had to get very close to talk, or speak loudly over the music; and as someone with a sound sensitive migraine trigger, this wasn't the best place for me personally; but I do see how others looking to keep that party vibe going for dinner may enjoy it. They're open pretty late, so it's an accessible food option for the party goers as well. The server was nice & the food came quickly. Will recommend to friends who are looking for a fun upbeat place where they can sit down and have drinks and some decent food.

I started with grilled octopus tacos marinated in salsa pastor (tacos de pulpo al pastor). The octopus was so tender served on blue tortillas with marinated onions. Perfecto. My son had the tacos de arrachera. Flank steak. Super tender beef. Prepared with chile chipotle. Must try. I then enjoyed the tostada de pulpo en tres chiles. Yes, three different chiles. Will I meet people on my…read morelevel, what will my hostel be like, will it be dirty, will it be full on spring breakers, will it be noisy? Lush was the first hostel I stayed at on my Mexican trip and instantly on arrival my anxieties were alleviated. I was greeted by the owner Wes who made me feel at ease. He carried my bag into my room, which is a massive help when you've just been travelling for a long time. Wes genuinely cares about his guests and wants them be be as happy and comfortable as they can, and will do what he can to make that happen. Big Wes is a great guy and I don't imagine he would tolerate rude or disrespectful people, so if this is you.....probably best to keep walking. The hostel is like a home away from home and is all about the good vibes. It's very clean, very social and the beds are the best hostel beds I've slept in. There is a little pool which is perfect for a morning hangover dip or to just hang out with a few beers. There's free breakfast everyday and theres no time restriction on it; unlike most hostels who don't seem to understand we don't all want breakfast before 10am. You just go up to the rooftop kitchen and make your eggs when you want and theres tortillas to go with them. The Hostal seems to perfect the balance of party or chill, depending on what you want. There are events every night on the rooftop bar, but this is ended at 12am to allow people to sleep if they aren't going out. Sayulita itself is a magical little place and I felt very safe there and in the hostel which is very secure. The buildings are colourful and theres loads of cute little restaurants around Sayulita. As well as a place for travellers, there are a lot of people on holiday (vacation) so Sayulita is not a quiet place, but it's no where near as busy or built up as PV. The beach is very busy, but theres other quieter beaches 10-20 mins walk away where you pretty much have the beach to yourself. I hadn't booked enough nights and the dorms were full so Wes gave me a free upgrade to a private room making me one happy lady. I'd highly recommend Lush! :)
