When we call we are always getting transferred to voicemails - no timely response to calls. We are always told we need to talk with Kyle but he is always out, on a call, on another project, on vacation or something. If he is the only person to talk with about issues im not sure why there isnt a process for when he is out of office. Very little respect for customers time very little interest in helping to resolve issues. I have not done business with this company, but recently experienced the disregard one of their drivers has for other drivers sharing the road. On April 17, 2024 the OEM driver went into the third (inside lane) on I-70 to pass me. I was in the middle lane. I guess he decided to pass me and then decided not to and began to come over into my lane, assuming I was in his "blind spot"! He hit my car and only through the grace of God was I not pushed into the far right lane where I was side-to-side with an 18-wheeler! Going 70 miles an hour, I somehow recorrected the car and got out of the situation. I then proceeded to follow the OEM truck for 5 miles, attempting to get him to pull over. He refused. I also saw that he was wearing white ear buds and I could see the wires from his ears. Really??? He is on the phone or listening to music while nearly causing a fatal accident? I called OEM, not because I want anything for the damage to my car, but just to ask how I can file a complaint to get this guy safety training. What a surprise, NO response for OEM - no answer to my telephone calls or my internet requests. OEM seems to really care! I sure will NEVER do business with OEM. When I spoke to her she was rude and refused to sell me anything. I saw a mysterious fee on my card a few days later and Connie told me this is a "restocking fee". TLDR: This company sent me a damaged wheel and cost me precious time and $110. They intentionally deceived me about the part condition even when I asked for them to check for a specific type of damage that the wheel they sold me ended up having. Following that they refused to acknowledge their mistake/deception. Don't trust them, especially if you are ordering out of state. I contacted OEM auto recyclers by phone for a wheel after looking them up on carpart. Kenny (KenW) said it was the "best wheel" he had seen and was a very nice wheel, stating that he handles lots of wheels. I have current problems with my wheel's because the chrome is degrading, so I asked for a picture of the wheel including the side. I was sent a single picture of the front so I asked for one of the side, telling him I was concerned about it having issues there. He stated in text that the "lip is not banged up or corroded. Ive moved a few wheels and look at every one. This is a nice wheel" and including a video of the wheel. The video was grainy but did show the side of the wheel and seemed to show it had no damage. I went ahead and ordered the wheel for ~$200 as this place has good reviews online, unfortunately I'm out of state so I couldn't inspect it personally. Long story short I received the wheel one week later and once inspected there were obvious problems with the chrome. Along near the air valve hole it was way puffed out and fell apart as soon as it was touched. It seemed like it wouldn't leave me in any better situation that I was already in with my current wheel but I had both discount tire and my mechanic inspect the wheel. They were both very unimpressed and skeptical if was even worth trying to mount the wheel. I contacted OEM/Kenny back and they said that the corrosion was not right under the rim and they had said there was no damage under the rim, meaning they meant where the tire sits only. To return it they required that I pay both the $50 return shipping, 15% restocking fee, and didn't refund the original shipping. I ended up with over an hour of lost time and out $110 because Kenny lied to me. You have to wonder what kind of business employs this kind of deceptive jerk. read more
