Unfortunately, this place failed to meet our expectations and we'd only rate this place 2/5 as the staff just don't have their usual strength or energy to work your tired muscles. Maybe years ago, but not now. During the session we both politely mentioned "this muscle is quite sore and could use more work thank you (in Mandarin too)" But, they ignored those multiple suggestions and just glided over different areas that were fine. I've gone to high-end spas for massages and pampering and I don't think I will ever go back. These ladies have amazing skills and techniques, make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. They really don't hold back when it comes to helping you whether you are there for a specific issue or just for a nice relaxing massage. Going back post COVID-19 of course it's a bit different than usual, but nothing too crazy at all! You go in and are welcomed with the 2 meter distance, sanitize your hands and put on mask right away. In the massage room there is designated space for your clothes and jewelry and your asked to wear the mask while you are being massaged, yes this sounds strange but honestly didn't change a thing for me and I didn't really notice it at all while I was on the table. Everything was very clean and disinfected so I really had ZERO worry going in for a massage. The ladies of course have to wear masks as well and they wash their hands right before your massage and right after. I love the packages, and was able to get a prenatal massage and a pregnancy-safe pedicure. Both practitioners/techs were incredibly sweet, warm, welcoming and nurturing. The pillows they have for pregnant people make it possible to lay comfortably on your stomach. The massage itself was very light, and since I get regular massages back home, I know it is possible to be with-child and still get a little more pressure, but that is alright: it was still a very relaxing, welcome experience. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by a multitasking receptionist: she summoned my massage therapist, talked to me, and talked to another customer behind me all at once. I was impressed by the decor and ambiance of the clinic. My serious-looking massage therapist lead me to a large room and thus began the massage, which was very average. When I realized that the onus was on me in order to get a receipt, I was already frustrated at the concept and couldn't be bothered so I just left. This final transaction left a very bad taste in my mouth, thus the 1-star rating instead of 2 or 3. All in all, I did not enjoy my experience at this clinic and will not be coming back. But I have been dying to get a massage. With some research online I was able to find Spa-Mobile. Basically they bring the spa to your home. You simply go on there website, pick the therapist you like to have and pick a time. The price is not much more that a massage you would get at a spa. They also provide insurance receipts. Now let me tell you about my experience. After I booked online, I received an email explaining all the safety precautions they take and how the procedure the day of the massage will look like. Then once they are on their way to your house they sent you a text message with a link that allows you to track where they are exactly. Once they get to your place, they set-up where you tell them to. The massage table is very professional. They set it up, put a heat blanket then put the sheets on top. Once every thing is set up, they sit with you and go through a questionnaire about your health and which areas you want the massage to be concentrated on. Then she goes to the bathroom to wash her hands while you lay on the table. My therapist was Claudia, and she went over and beyond. She brought white sage to clarify the room, she also asked me what type of music I like, which she then played on the IPad she had. Last but not least, she brought fresh cucumbers which she placed on my eyes. Once it was over she again went to wash her hands while i put ob my robe. (Benefits of being at home). She gave me her card and asked for me to pay via e-transfer. Later that nice, she sent me the receipt and the insurance paper. I will never go to a spa for a massage as this was the best massage experience I have ever had. Keep in mind before the pandemic i use to have 5-6 massages per year.
