I am so glad I did. The cheese puffs are good and very rich. A layer of crème cheese w pesto sandwiched between like a Parmesan puff pastry. The beef Wellington were small round balls filled with what my husband described as pot roast. I thought it would be a small piece of tenderloin with the duxelles wrapped in puff pastry. The meat was a shaved beef. At $36 a dozen it definitely not worth the money to serve at a party. All in all, I would not buy again. They won't make it to my holiday party! I am sure their catering is wonderful but the individual frozen apps are not worth the drive!

And it's one-stop shopping, with "3 Chefs..." supplying servers, bartenders, and decorations to match your meal. I did get a chance to taste some of their food while attending a friends wedding, and it was tasty and a little fussy (it was broiled Salmon in a thick and delicious tomato-cream sauce). Also, "3 Chefs..." puts a fair amount of attention to the elegance of the table. But what is most impressive to me is the wide variety of the catering services that they offer. The "3 Chefs Catering" menu can be customized for ANY Occasion, from Cocktail Parties, to Graduation Dinners, to a Intimate & Romantic Anniversary Meal. They even offer to cater events as small as a Picnic, to ones as large as a big BBQ, or any size Party, from Weddings (serving up to 300 guests), to Birthdays, to Corporate Events and Weekend Retreats. And they don't have to make an entire meal. "3 Chefs..." will cater trays of delicate Hors D'oeuvres, chafing dishes of Appetizers, an open-bar Beverage service, to multi item Dessert Table. And to make the Holidays an easier pill to swallow, "3 Chefs..." offers to cater your Thanksgiving dinner, your Christmas Holiday feast, and even religious events like Passover & Easter dinners. II had an extremely disappointing experience with the French Finesse Class…read more The class was to feature Grilled Salmon with Caper Sauce, Grilled Vegetables, and Parisian "Gnocchi." We made the grilled salmon and vegetables, but the so-called "gnocchi" was a disaster. This was extremely disappointing because I was the most excited about making the gnocchi. Instead of making a more traditional gnocchi like you would picture (little dumpling pillows), we ended up with a soupy mess of polenta mixed with milk, butter, and French cheeses. The instructor told us that this polenta mixture would typically be baked in a pan and then cut in little squares like gnocchi (or at least that's what I understood), but in class we just let the mixture cool off and ate it as it is. It was basically eating polenta cheese goop - disgusting, and nothing like the gnocchi I pictured. First of all, the class description should have clearly specified what type of gnocchi we'd be making and if the class would not finish the entire recipe (note: writing "Parisian gnocchi" for the class is not sufficient because just by a google search there are different ways of making it). It's misleading not to clarify this in the description. It makes me wonder about the rest of their classes and what else they mislead people on. Secondly, the class was advertised to run from 6:30 PM to 9 PM. However, we finished (and I mean completely finished like by the time we finished eating everything) by 8 PM. It felt like they were rushing us out. They started cleaning up and doing dishes while we were still sitting at the table. It made us feel like they wanted us out as quickly as possible. If the class had actually run the full time as promised, we could have spent that extra hour finishing the gnocchi properly. Or we could have done the gnocchi first and while it was baking, cook the grilled salmon and vegetables. And that definitely could have been possible (I mean, come on). Instead, we were left with a below average dish and a rushed experience. Overall, this class was a huge letdown. The misleading description, poor quality of food, and the rushed environment made for a frustrating experience. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone. And with the price I paid, I felt robbed. I do not know how they think this can be okay. To be clear, I would give the staff and my experience cooking everything else 5 stars. But the gnocchi and rushed experience really completely destroyed this entire thing for me.

We've been regular customers of the Picnic Basket (restaurant side of this business) for years and Gourmet Food Works actually catered my husband's christening years ago, so there was little doubt they'd be the best choice for our big day. That said, we were very budget conscious, so we definitely did our homework (checked with other caterers, etc.), but in the end no one compared from a price, quality, or service standpoint, and I know we made the right choice going with Gourmet Food Works! From our initial meeting with Ivan, where he answered our million questions and clearly laid out our options.. to the food tasting where he provided us with so many delicious options to choose from.. to the morning of the big day where he and his team showed up early to ensure everything was ready to go.. and finally to the day-of coordination and food service, everything was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. We had our wedding at an amazing but non-traditional location (see: Cypress Resort & Marine in Antioch) which required a bit more logistical consideration than some of the other more traditional venues out there. Ivan and his team actually went out to the site to scope things out ahead of time (on more than one occasion, I believe) to ensure what we were envisioning was feasible. There were also a number of changes and several 'special requests' we made during the process (which I know caused a lot of extra work for Ivan), and throughout everything, he was patient, responsive, and extremely helpful. Arguably most importantly, the food at our wedding was fantastic! We received a number of compliments from our guests, which of course was great to hear. It was also very nice knowing that the day was fully taken care of, as Ivan & Cathie & crew did a great job working with us and our other vendors to ensure everything went off without a hitch. We'd HIGHLY recommend having Gourmet Food Works cater your wedding or party!

All the fruits and vegetables I've had, whether it be in a fruit tray, salad, grilled veggies, etc. are top notch. Generally I won't go towards fresh produce when given other options, but Pear Tree has won me over with their absolutely delicious items. Even items such as breadsticks and crackers with a mix of cheese are absolutely delicious, where the commitment to sourcing quality ingredients is evident with every bite. Salads are also incredibly good here, with fresh greens that are nice and crisp and nice juicy tomatoes and other items like cheese, nuts, fruits, etc. that once again show their commitment to top notch ingredients.
