I first met Dr Bahat last August for a second opinion about one of my teeth. After meeting with him I chose to have him perform my procedure. Dr. Bahat saved me, once again. When Covid first hit in March, I was getting veneers by a cosmetic dentist. The teeth had been "prepared" which means they shave the teeth down to nubs and put temporary plastic teeth over them. The temporaries broke, exposing the roots of 6 teeth causing extreme pain - I was taking 12 Aleve per day to no avail and lying in the dark for days. My cosmetic dentist was paralyzed by Covid and unavailable, everyone was sheltering in place and so I reached out to Dr. Bahat - even though he didn't do the dental work that caused the pain. I was in tears from so much pain, and he said to me "don't worry -- I will help you". I live in SF and drove to LA. Dr. Bahat contacted the cosmetic dentist who had done the temporaries, convinced him to see me and then Dr. Bahat coordinated with the dentist who put new coverings over my teeth. Three months later, I developed pain in the same teeth that were operated on by the dentist in March (likely from trauma) which necessitated 5 root canals! Even though it wasn't his work, Dr. Bahat once again was by my side - consulting with the endodontist, sending films and looking out for me. In my darkest days, Dr. Bahat was there for me. He is not only a world-class surgeon, but also a wonderful, concerned human being who truly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond to help them. I am a physician and have seen many practitioners over the years. I accompanied KK on her visit to Dr. Bahat for complex oral surgery. He graciously included me in the dialog about KK's treatment and took me aside after the surgery to show me the x-rays and films of the complicated procedure. I can attest that his work is of the highest quality. Dr. Bahat and his staff, including an excellent anesthesiologist, are extraordinary. The work he did in a very narrow space had to be perfect - and it was. KK's implants are solidly rooted in healthy (primarily transplanted by Dr. Bahat) bone. In addition, Dr. Bahat continued to consult with KK to help her through a very difficult and protracted set of problems with her temporaries. I have had two emergency surgeries with Dr. Oded Bahat from infected teeth. One was more difficult than the other being my sinus had been infected by the failed root canal tooth. There is no one I would trust when you are in such pain and need a great outcome. He is a healer. My mother and aunt were Operating Room Registered Nurses so I was raised around doctors and nurses my whole life. His staff is exceptional that goes along with the expertise of Dr. Bahat. Hands down, you will have the BEST medical care possible with Dr. Bahat! Nearly a decade ago, my family dentist said I needed to see a periodontist and would most likely need gum surgery due to recession. I was refered by one of my best friends (a patient of Dr. Bahat's for nearly 30 years). I was treated with respect and made to feel at ease the moment i sat in his office. The staff is kind and efficient (you talk to a human and never a machine), his nurse Reina was amazing (she even held my hand before the anesthesia before my surgery because I was so nervous!) and Dr. Bahat is one of a kind! In addition to being a leader in his field, he is warm, caring and made me feel so good about a surgery I was terrified to have. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. I had the surgery and was not in pain that wasn't expertly managed by Dr. Bahat. He was available to me anytime I needed him. I was recommended to Dr Bahat back in 2012 when I found out I had massive bone loss in the front of my mouth. The dentist I previously went to who applied my veneers never addressed my bone loss or periodontal work before my cosmetic work. As a result I was in a very serious position due to my history which this dentist was well aware of before the work was done. He had recommended a periodontist in BH and after my visit was literally in tears. Fast forward to my friend recommending Dr Bahat! I met Dr. Bahat 25 years ago. I went there because I had 6 teeth missing. He looked at my mouth and went straight to the point that I need implants. He has done an amazing job. I moved to CO and went to see an oral surgeon here and when he saw the job of Dr. Bahat he told me to go back to who did the other implants. He admitted he couldn't do the same work as Dr. Bahat. Dr. Bahat, Dr. Gordon and the staff there are the BEST ever. I have been going there for over 20 years. Dr. Bahat has done 2 surgeries on my gums due to deep pockets. I was NEVER EVER EVER in one moment of pain. This is a priority for him and his staff. He will not allow his patients to suffer for any amount of time. Many years ago, Dr. B told me I should see an orthodontist because he could tell my teeth were moving. He was 100% right. I went to an orthodontist and wore invisaligns! I have recommended Dr. B to friends and co-workers. I would never go to anyone else but him. Also, if I had a big issue with my teeth, I would seek his advice.
