That completely misrepresents the facts. He could have easily called me the next day and cleared the air. I am not interested in publicly hurting a man's career. But this has been on my mind, that if he hurts someone, I will feel guilty that I did not share this information. NOTE THAT HE DOES NOT ACTUALLY DENY HIS YELLING AND SCREAMING. Instead, he says "Yelling or inappropriate communication of any kind does not align with the environment we strive to provide for our patients and team members." Of course, it does not align with an environment that anyone would "strive to provide." No professional office would openly "strive to provide "an environment where a customer/patient is treated like that. It happened. There was at least one staff member who witnessed it. Plus the screaming was so loud, people in the lobby could have easily heard it. The man completely lost control. I raised the concerns in person at the time. His response is that the concerns should have been raised at the time. They were raised at the time. I quietly raised the issue that I have already signed a contract and put down a deposit. He went into a screaming rage. Really screaming. This is hardly someone who is happy to discuss any issues. There were witnesses, at least one other staff member in the room. Then he left the room and came back minutes later, screaming again. Even with a break, he could not get under control. He came back and showed me a ridiculous interpretation that the contract said all services must be completed in 30 days. (Of course, it really said that I had 30 days to accept the contract. ) I pointed out that the services could never be completed in 30 days. He responded "But you never made a deposit". His own records show that I had made a deposit immediately. This is not a guy who is happy to discuss any issues. It is a man out of control. There was another issue. A faulty CT scan, which he told me was a reason for a delay. Delays is his big thing. So I went to UCLA Health to get another CT scan. His CT scan was wrong. I was charged approximately $250 for an incorrect CT scan. But mistakes like that are possible and understandable. It's the losing of his temper that is why I am writing this review. There were other people in the office that day. They all saw it. A man who can lose control like that must have done it other times. My concern is that anesthesia is part of his treatment. That is a serious health risk. A man who can lose his tempter...if that happens during anesthesia, you're in serious trouble. Again, I don't want to mess with a man's profession. But I would feel guilty if he hurt someone, and I had not shared this information. He should have calmed down and contacted me and this could have been cleared up.

You should literally go to any other dental practice!…read more In my experience, the quality of care is average to poor - I've had to pester the office over a period of multiple weeks stretching to months to get new clear aligners after the dentist was unhappy with the initial results. If you don't pester, you'll just never hear back...After my last treatment, the dentist needed to do "research" to find a product that could help him finish polishing my wax up and promised to follow up once they had the product. That was August of 2025! Still no word. Perhaps worse, I've experienced the office staff at The Lounge pressuring my dental hygienist to upsell me on various products like an oral detox (which is manufactured by a company that is also owned by Dr. Moldovan). This would be bad enough to warrant a warning to stay away but the office staff is truly abysmal. I've experienced promises that they would submit insurance forms that they never seem to submit (at least according to the insurance company) and have had to send 10 email requests just to get a "super bill" so that I can submit to the insurance company myself. Amazingly, Dr. Moldovan refuses to have a conversation about the quality of her staff and the service level they provide. Instead she seems to prefer to tell her staff to quote her as saying, " I will not discuss the dental insurance with our patients, for this has never been my speciality, this is my practice and insurance is not accepted as payment, I am a periodontist trying to heal the world." I've never known another business owner to refuse a conversation with a customer because the topic "has never been my speciality". Again, you should literally go to any other dental practice!

Dr. Moldovan discovered three cavitations, and I underwent cavitation surgery that same day. I thank God I did. It's now been 7 months since the surgery, and I am feeling better than I have in the last decade. Many of my health issues have improved or resolved --one major one being heart palpitations. Dr. Moldovan, Leeshane, Helder, Garry, thank you for your patience, kindness, compassion and the way you made me feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. Dr Salamati is a very NICE gentleman and so is his dental hygienist. However, the receptionist named Brenda ( Hispanic) is a very mean lady and she doesnt seem to appreciate her work. She pissed me off a few times now. This most recent time, she tried to give me a really late appt ( I supposed to have my cleaning done in May but she gave me an appt in August) which was fine because I didnt mind waiting to see Dr. Salamati, but when I came in, Dr Salamati wasnt there and my cleaning was done by his assistant. SHE DID NOT EVEN LET ME KNOW about it in the beginning . I didnt think in order to see the assistant, I needed to wait 3 months longer. Never would I come back to that office! read more

I have known Dr. Salamati for more than 20 years. He used to be my student at UCLA. He extracted 3 teeth did a bone graft and 3 dental implants all in one day. The procedure was painless and very comfortable. After surgery all I had to take was two pain meds. I highly recommend him for all your periodontal and dental implant needs. read more
