Art lovers of Norwich probably already know all about the Grapevine Gallery. head down Unthank Road…read morefrom the city and you'll find it on the right hand side. Big windows. Pictures and sculpures behind the glass, as you might expect The Grapevine is a lovely gallery to visit, they have regular exhibitions from both local artists and artists from all over the world. Brilliant selection of prints and fine art books too. At the back of the gallery they also have a ceramics studio, which is a great place to take kids to for some mug and plate decorating. They also have a sister gallery up in Burnham market. That's lovely too.

I ended up buying three cans of Omega, a high-boost white cider, which were a bargain at 80p per can. This place is definitely not a destination in and of itself, but if you are trekking out to Fat Cat, and you certainly should if you are visiting Norwich and enjoy a good pub with good beer, then it would be worth it to spend a few minutes in G.O. Our servers were a bit abrupt and barked answers at us when we requested information. I don't think they were rude, just stressed! The courtyard outside is lovely, and while the environmental impact of outside heater-lights is sad to consider, they do make it possible to outside even on a chilly day in the shade. They have a fair selection of larger and ales and the food menu was good. Lots of choice, and not all mainstream - I had a mango, red onion chutney and chicken baguette. Could have done with more mango but certainly a more interesting sandwich than many pubs would offer. I would definitely recommend, and really mean to give it a 3.5!

The bubble and squeak starter was good. As was the Sunday roast, but what I hate about these pub roasts is the rubbery-textured greens that taste like they were just microwaved from frozen! The pub is located down a little alley way with tables outside. It looks like a great place to be in summer. The decoration inside is really nice and there is a great dining area upstairs. I wouldn't hesitate to come in here again for drinks, but for food I'd rather not have to wait so long.

Friendly welcome on arrival, found a table straightaway that overlooked a lovely church with spring flowers, liked the faux shabbyesque decor, cocktail menu was inviting and the food going past looked and smelled amazing. Pity we had just had lunch an hour prior. We sampled 3 x halves of different ales, all excellent, and a half of their rhubarb cider. Be still my heart, what exquisitness, cider forward with a tart zingy rhubarb afterbite. It was the star and so unusually lovely to drink and quench your thirst. I would definitely recommend this brew house for brews and booze.
