This is a tradional family run butchers which has been in business for many years now…read more They sell all types of meat and now they have started selling fruit, vegetables, homemade pies and burgers. The burgers are a total hit in my family and they are well worth the money. The meat that's sold here is all from local farmers in the region which is reassuring that it's really fresh. The staff employed here are helpful and friendly and can give advice on preparing and cooking meat if needed.

The Cafe since becoming a Costa's is too expensive which is a shame as I used to like a tea in there before or after shopping. There are seats past the checkouts which is a welcoming idea if you have to wait for someone. They are also pretty good with queue's, opening up cashouts when needed.

The entrance has been redesigned and is lovely and airy, to the right is the tobacco kiosk and lunch section. Just beyond that is the lift and stairs to the large cafe, with the toilets hidden down the side of the lift. Upstairs is a new addition and the Cafe provides cooked meals aswell as liight snacks and drinks. The staff here seem to be struggling a little with the new environment however so make sure you have plenty of time. the store downstairs has a great clothing department with tall wide aisles which make it a pleasure to browse around. Ive never had a long wait at the tills and they seem to have the perfect balance of open tills and staff available. A real credit to Sainsburys.

They do indeed sell a "Geranium and cherry cupcake", and it is apparently very good! I'm not so convinced about their recently introduced "Cashmere Quilted Bathroom Tissue, enriched with extracts of Cashmere" however...
